We named our daughter Rylinn after this song. I first heard this song in 2007 when I was a freshman in college while I was studying. I told my girlfriend at the time (High School Sweethearts, we married in 2012) that I pictured myself one day having a daughter, and I could only name her Rylinn because of a song I heard. I played her the song and she immediately agreed. I had no idea what the background to this song was or where you drew your inspiration from until just now stumbling across this recording. It makes so much sense to me now. I am hopeful your friend's daughter can continue to live through those you have inspired with this piece as we were inspired. My daughter is now 10 months old. Thank you Andy.
One of my favorite Andy Mckee pieces. I once performed (competed) in an international teen music competition and I had heard the guitarist three slots after I had performed my original play Rylynn so beautifully... I thought for sure I wasn't placing after that yet I won and received a $20,000 one year scholarship to University.
There are some tunes you keep coming back to, no matter what happens in life. Rylynn is on the top of that list for me. Hauntingly beautiful, every time.
I don't think tgis song could possibly get any better. Each note is perfectly placed throughout the entire track. So well done. Thank you for this new video. Such a beautiful song.
Thank you again for this masterpiece, Andy! I am now 22, and when the first version of Rylynn came out years ago, I cried because of goosebumps. Today was the day everything I felt the first day I listened to "Rylynn" came back and now I sit here with goosebumps again. Thank you, mate, for this beautiful melody!
Your playing is awsome Andy! You have to know that you inspire us and always give us a new goal to reach! Thank you so much!!! So let's all of us dedicate our efforts to play guitar better to little Rylynn. R.I.P. !
I always cry everytime i hear this wonderful music.. I salute you Andy, as a guitarist i learn so many things from your musical phrases, thank you for your dedication to Music..
love this song and this performance is way more intimate than the older video. Loved meeting you at daryl's house club and looking forward to seeing you in two months again there!! keep coming back please! much love
You know when you are witness to perfection when awesome technique is transcended by the music, and the music is transcended by the emotion of the song. Inspiring!
I haven’t played in a while. I remember as a high schooler listening to you, Antoine dugout, and so many other amazing guitarist. My guitar has been collecting dust and having this vid pop in my recommended is a sign that I need to get my callouses back.
Andy. Thanks for this music. I purchased the tabs for this song . with your tutorial and persistence I learned to play it. It's so satisfying!. To anyone wanting to play this. Yes you need to be well versed in fingerstyle guitar. But when broken down bar for bar it's not too difficult. Just get the tuning right as well as the right capo and as long as you put in the practice you'll get it!
It's awesome to finally see new videos coming out from you, even though I know this song has been around for a while. I love your music, and being a musician myself, thoroughly appreciate how you play and bring your instruments to life. In this cookie cutter world of music today, your music returns the word "music" to it's original intent: Art, and Fine Art at that. Thank you for what you do, and please keep up the great work!
this is reaaaally amazing ! You Inspired me and you always inspire me ! you're one of my favorite guitatist and this my favorite song ! keep playing Andy
Amazing, Andy! I'm flying you to Toronto for a wedding next year, we'll contact you through the site form once we're ready to arrange and make deposits :)
+Leon Browne I also only have drifting down, took me like two months learn in the techniques. common ground is hard when you've never played fingerstyle coming from electric guitar
+Leon Browne He has a Tab Book containing this song from the album Art of Motion. Can't speak to its quality/accuracy, but I'd check it out if you want to learn this
Hey Andy, that was a very beautiful song, thank you for sharing! I was wondering how you got so fluent with hand separation. Are you also an expert pianist? Just wondering about your incredible technique. Thank you so much! :)

Amazing story.
Never got old, i listened to this when i was 15.now i am 28 i keep coming back.
Been listening to this song for upwards of 10 years now...and it never gets old. One of the most beautiful acoustic songs ever written.
There are some tunes you keep coming back to, no matter what happens in life. Rylynn is on the top of that list for me.
Hauntingly beautiful, every time.
When you can make music so well that it has no use for words, it speaks the loudest.
Been listening to you for years and could only dream of being as good a musician as you one day!
+Justin Ward This ++
Tu n'est pas le seul 😅
That’s good but as a musician u should always set your standards higher
@@ghostprod9541 it's about music and musicians taste here, don't act like a "snob musician" please.
Practice practice practice and don't forget to practice!! Perfect practice makes perfect!!
One of your greatest compositions. Such a beautiful tune Andy.
The outro of this song is still one of my favourite pieces of music ever written. Still as inspiring as when I first heard it all those years ago.
Painfully beautiful. Arguably Andy's best song.
Indeed.
.. This song is the reason why i wake up every moring, thank you very much
Almost like you're playing as if not to wake somebody. This has always been a favorite of mine. Very beautiful.
This makes grown ups cry Mr. Mckee! Thank you :)

Hello.. tu es incroyable cette mélodie a été la plus belle que j'ai entendue . Et sache que je l'écoute depuis déjà 5 ans .,.

+Leon Browne I also only have drifting down, took me like two months learn in the techniques. common ground is hard when you've never played fingerstyle coming from electric guitar
+Leon Browne Try learning All Laid Back n' Stuff as that was my first self taught song by Andy before I learned Drifting.
This is what I found when looking up my name
