I hear ya. This Hogs team was d@mn good. After the regular season they had, and after their first 3 tourney wins I surely thought they'd return to the Final Four. Kansas had other ideas. Credit to Kansas for getting it done, though. ARK's '92 Rd 2 loss to Memphis also stung. I believe that game was tied with under 10 seconds left and Memphis' David Vaughan hits the GW bucket to send the Hogs home.
Even though Duke won it all, that 1991 Kansas Run they beat some good teams in Indiana, Arkansas and UNC. Also thought the Final Four Shirts were pretty cool with the AR crossed out and it said Kansas 1991 Final Four.
@@jakecoker794 I don't know man . Kansas smoked a good Indiana team in the Sweet 16 then beat Arkansas and UNC. Good news is Arkansas got their title in 1994 at the same arena

Arkansas had a habit of coming back flat in the second half this year. This was just another one of those times. The UNLV loss was another one of those times and got embarrassing. Day, Miller, and Mayberry were too good to be blown out at Barnhill like that. Was honestly unacceptable and this loss was too.
I’m sure it had to hurt for Arkansas to watch Richard Scott make plays for the Jayhawks off the bench, seeing as how he was a Little Rock native who Nolan Richardson wanted and then he came back to haunt his home state Hogs
Arkansas played three pathetically bad halves of basketball during this season, this second half, the second half vs Arizona and the second half vs UNLV. This one hurts the most because Kansas was such an inferior team. Hogs would have whipped UNC and Duke to win the title if it wasn’t for the KU parade to the line in the second half.
how could arkansas beat duke when they couldnt even beat unlv on their home court?duke beat kansas and arkansas got blown out by kansas.and if u bring up the arkansas win over duke at the start of the year that is meaningless because teams obviously improve so much by the end of the year.
@@cade377 The fact that they were a #1 seed, won 34 games (the most in the nation), made the Final Four the year before, had a 12-point lead at halftime, were a strong 2nd half team with leads like that (as Greg referred to on the telecast), won the championship on this floor 3 years later (as another user referenced), had a world more talent than Kansas and, as Quinn said, the Jayhawks were a total surprise to even be here. Arkansas deserved to lose for a poor 2nd half, but you don't overcome all of that as Kansas did very often.
On top Kansas Jayhawks overall success last 35yrs (Modern Era of College Basketball.) That Florida team won b2b National Titles in 2006/2007. - Kansas beat #1North Carolina in March 2008 National Semis. Love Tark but they put too much pressure on themselves in 91 Tournament. I absolutely believe 1989-91 UNLV Running Rebels are GOAT team ever but how they were able even keep that 1 Natty in tack without it getting Vacated? Very Very fortunate.
And Arkansas ended up winning the national championship on this same court three years later.
That was such a fun game. I remember watching this as a 16 year old kid with my dad. Man I miss watching games with him
Uptempo basketball seemed so much more efficient than it is today.
Ugh. This loss and the Hogs' loss in '92 in Milwaukee to Memphis State in the second round are still really, really painful.

Roy Williams was in his third year at Kansas and led them to the Final Four. The year before they had won 30 games.......Remarkable coach

I think this is tp5 "most important win" in Kansas becoming a tp3 National Modern Day Era Powerhouse.
Wow, Arkansas came out flat in the 2nd half. Good season for both teams.
Been waiting over 30 years to watch my Hogs get payback for this game and we got it today!! WPS!!
I thought the same thing when the Hogs took out the Jayhawks....I remember this 91 game
Richard Scott & Alonzo Jamison were my favs off this Jayhawks team.
Anyone know where find Kansas vs #1UNLV & Kansas vs #2LSU?

His best moment in Kansas jerz.

Kansas? We never got to play the Fab Five?
As I recall we didnt.
Roy just flat out-coached Nolan.
Never should have lost this game to a vastly inferior Kansas team. It’s why they play the game.
I remember Mark Randall actually got Drafted by Celtics.
Ark should slowed gm way dwn and just pounded ball into Miller with that big lead.
Arkansas should've won this game. 😂
Just curious, but what do you base that on?
