I'm a 74 year old musician and a huge Aurora fan. Thank you guys for sharing this beautiful performance. She truly is amazing. She always makes my day a little better! ❤❤❤😊😊😊
Like something out of a Viking saga. Powerful. She adds something truly extraordinary to the musical landscape and we all benefit from her own exploration of what music can do. Brilliant!!
Hi guys so grateful For playing my request on your channel, loved your reaction to this live performance from Aurora who for me and I have no hesitation in saying is the best live performer I’ve seen, seriously a very special talent indeed.i did smile to myself when you mentioned Scarborough fair for Aurora did an beautiful cover of this song a few years back, you should check it out in your own time you will love it.once again thanks for the kind mention and as Aurora would say “let love conquer your mind “❤️
Mentioned in the comments are Clannad, Enya and Enigma, and yes! That's exactly what I was reminded of too, and they're some of my favourite things to listen to. I ❤ Aurora, but then you already knew that 😊
Nice. Just a hint of Clannad or Celtic vibe in my head with she first started the song. I like the minimal setup. That's so much more impressive to me than a 6 piece band and 12 backup dancers. The simplicity magnifies the talent so much more in my opinion. Well done. Thanks guys, as always for another amazing reaction.- Hawk
Aurora has played Glastonbury 3 times now. First in 2016, again in 2019 and recently a couple of weeks ago. Her full 2016 and 2019 Glastonbury shows are here on RUclips. The remix by Brian Eno is a must listen with good headphones.
Stunning performance and amazing song :). I love all 3 versions (this live stiped down, album version and remix version) :). They are different but every one is great.
Aurora is amazing. I saw her yesterday in Kristiansand Norway I'm still here in my campervan heading off to Denmark today. In october it's time for another great Aurora concert. This time in Edingburgh. Thank you guys for putting light on Aurora. Cheers from a finn in Sweden.(today in Norway)
It's funny you said that this doesn't sound like anything you've heard from her before, because if you listened to the rest of the album, you'd be saying that a lot! It's very diverse and experimental. The remix of this song is absolutely amazing. Probably not what you're expecting, but again, different from anything you've heard from her before (including this live version).
Cool! One of my favorites from her new album, and the whole albums is really something else. You never really know what to expect (which "Starvation" is a good example of). Normally watching her live and stripped or acoustic is my favorite when it comes to Aurora, but the album version is just freaking good. And I do love the drums and bass on that version😄. Yes, she did a version of "Some Type Of Skin" the same day she did this one (I believe), and it's also very very good.
Her words are so powerful ansd meaningful she sings to you you'll understand same as anyone that listens watch this song live in the Dublin gig I mean p o w e r f u l This woman is in another level so wise but so young old wisdom I'd say
She continues to deliver wow! The studio version is more elaborate. The nature feat is a collaboration with Bryan Eno where they use nature sounds! Almost three different songs, all so so so good. The Brysn Eno version is just fantastic! As always so much fun to listen to you! 👍👏🙏🏼😊
I recommend you listen to the album version, it has a lot of different instruments, and I also recommend the Nature Remix, which is by Brian Eno for the "Sounds Right" initiative where songs featuring Nature with nature sounds, gives some of the profits to nature conservation. Aurora haven't specified the meaning of this song yet, but personally (also considering the Nature Remix) I think it is like her old song Soulless Creatures, which were written from Mother Earth's point of view calling humanity for soulless creatures. Here I think it is also Mother Earth calling humanity "a man with no wisdom" and "a soul with no king", and accusing us of being friends with the devil.
5:26 The "Nature" remix you were talking about, is actually mixed by the famous British musician and producer Brian Eno. I guess you know who he is. Learn more about it in this video: ruclips.net/video/quwlxmZZIpg/видео.html&ab_channel=Mercury
The album track has more drum and beat. The remix (remixed by Brian Eno, they've added "Nature" as a featured artist to send revenue from the single to environmental causes), has more beat but in a very "Eno" techno-Celtic sense. Very good!
thanks for your reaction. the remix is made by brian eno, it's far from a dance floor remix. go for it, it's a real well crafted remix with a perfect end to the song.
This Vevo version is better than the studio album and I love the album. That primal scream in the middle! It's all very different, as we expect from Aurora. All the songs different and an album different from her previous. Wonderful woman.
It's very different. It has an essence of Enigma to it. She is very talented indeed. The song although I appreciate the message it doesn't speak to me.
I sincerely say this from the heart, but the songs that Aurora writes and how she presents them with such a unique visual identity make me believe - and I truly believe this in my life - that she came from a reincarnation connected to nature.
I went back and watched your Simon and Garfunkel reaction first. Thought of going back to the Band-Maid too for a while. :) Don't know, watching a streak of reactions the way you recorded them one after another feels somehow more interesting. :)
This is one of Aurora's best.....and this version is too good and I mean too good all she does how she lures you in for starters and sings and dances and she plays one hell of a piano solo simple short like classical virtuoso kind of and I'm still waiting for the BBC to release the full Glastonbury show luv that arena in the meanwhile I was able to survive with the Dublin gig check it out ruclips.net/video/wVZj0dfIbJM/видео.html She's so freaking good the Best ever
She's had interviews about this song, it's a protest song about Gaza and all the current genocides but that one primarily. The green and other Easter eggs give it all away. She specifically references things that have been said to dehumanize the people in Palestine and others in this terrible end with no one coming to save them from annihilation.
Here's another suggestion for a new artist to give a listen, if interested. "Michael Bolton - To Love Somebody (Live Video Version)" (by the channel: Michael Bolton) --This song is a cover; the original was written by Barry and Robin Gibb. However, Michael Bolton's rendition is also amazing, his version reached number #11 on the US Billboard Hot 100...Bolton has such a soulful set of vocals; he is known for his sultry blue-eyed soul and R&B music.
More exposure in the UK? She's sold out the Royal Albert Hall in October & tickets for Wembley Arena in May 2025 are selling fast, hope you have yours; not the right venue for her at all though IMHO. Glasto was great; at Wembley the sound engineer and acoustics could ruin it - never a fan of large venues with high roofs.
She is the most dynamic live performer I've ever witnessed and I'm pushing 70 yrs old.

Lovely song, very atmospheric. I enjoyed it.
Goosebumps.
The re-mix, was produced by Brian Eno, and Nature is credited as an artist on it. There is a video on RUclips of it being mixed.

Nah she's said it's mostly to do with the Palestine genocide and others currently going unchallenged and worse yet, being justified.
The album version is also a great listen. That and the nature one are great, along with this one.
Love Aurora ❤

Aurora is special , you can feel she is feeling music and singing so beautiful, lot of singers just singing fir money money money

It was her third appearance at Glastonbury by the way
About chuffing time chaps lol
Aurora❤
She is genius
The end is a true reference to tha scandinavian traditon of Kulning. Look it up.
Nah that would be «kommm kuuuaaaaaa» 😅
"...if you meet the devil and the world starts to burn... give him your water" .... Genial. .... and BTW your reaction s lovely also
And what does it mean? Like the man is so wrong, that he gives up the water, even when he needs it so much?
@@johnytwo ...or befriending your enemy is a valid strategy..
@@goeranm55 then they're not really your or anyone's enemy, or you're selling others out to do it.

Funny you should mention Kasabian. She has a track on her new album called The Blade that totally reminds me of a Kasabian tune.
The remix is so awsome! You should listen to it
At first I thought this was a cover of Big Love by Fleetwood Mac / Lyndsey Buckingham. The whole first minute or so sounds so much like it.
I went back and watched your Simon and Garfunkel reaction first. Thought of going back to the Band-Maid too for a while. :) Don't know, watching a streak of reactions the way you recorded them one after another feels somehow more interesting. :)

React to the remix too!
😊👍
The only thing wrong with this song is it's not 10 minutes long.
Unusual...song....takes a while to get use to it....viking...song...

This gives me serious led Zeppelin 4 vibes..!What a genious she is!I would have been more than happy to see a cooperation with Greta Van Fleet!!!!
Please react to " AURORA & Silvana Estrada - cure for me Live" ❤ please!!!

Looking forward to the Royal Albert Hall show but the smaller venues are preferable, being more intimate (PRYZM back in June was fun ...) 😊
