Your enthusiasm really shows through, David. So much so, that after your initial introduction of the Airacuda Max in January, I looked into it with what other online sources I could find. And I bought one. For the past 3 weeks I've been wrestling with trying to get it sighted in because of problems with (a) scope mounts that would not hold position, and then (B) a scope that had been almost beaten to death by use on a break barrel. Let me be clear: those problems were NOT the fault of the Airacuda. This past week I finally received new scope rings and, after some adjustment, the old scope seems to be holding position. I have bought a new scope, in case it is needed. I also bought a suppressor to quiet the bark a little bit in my neighborhood, although the bark was not bad to start with.
As far as I can tell, the rifle itself has been almost faultless. The only problem I've had with it is that, if I try to de-cock the gun by holding the trigger while moving the cocking lever ALL THE WAY forward (as I have done on my Air Arms), the Airacuda Max would fire when the lever was almost all the way forward. I have since learned that if I release the trigger as soon I hear/feel the trigger mechanism release just after I have started moving the cocking lever forward, then the rifle de-cocks properly without firing.
Sighting it in, I have found that the Airacuda Max is not pellet fussy. In fact, it works quite well with the inexpensive Crosman Premier domed pellets, as well as the JSB Hades and other prime pellets. The Airacuda Max has now replaced my old break barrel rifle for dealing with some of the pesky squirrels in my yard. Of course, I do still use my Air Arms S510 for that purpose, as well.
Thanks for your coverage and your comments. I look forward to your next outing, David. All the best,
    Jim

JTS has a video on trigger adjustment. Watch it. Faulty trigger adjustment leads to firing while decocking. You probably have it adjusted with not enough meat on the sear which leads to the gun firing when decocking.

Hello David, hoid talking to you today. Well another video to buid the anticipation, if I wasn't excited to get my dynamic duo from talking about it with you earlier I have to be now. I cant wait to come and pick up mine. I'm glad I'm going for the .22 as I've started getting hooked on the squirrel videos. Talk soon.

Hi Johnathan , it’s always a treat setting up new rifles at the OGC , as sometimes the process can take an hour or so.
Sadly not with the JTS, 20 mins and it’s off and running 🏆
Have a look what another viewer wrote about his purchase on the comments on this video, it’s fair to say that Jim is pleased with his rifle.
When you come for yours next week, go and have a look at the squirrel hide that I built with Keith , one of my customers👍
      See you next week

I have had my eye on one of these for a while and got one about a month ago in .22. Accupell FT in 22 were not great,Hades and BSA Goldstar being top performers but it isn't overly pellet fussy.
The gun is extremely accurate but the issue arises when you fit a moderator, you definitely need a moderator if you are going to hunt with it.
I have since discovered a moderator that is supposed to work with it so will be buying one of those and will report back.A great regulated gun for the money

Yes let us know if it frightens the squizzers off.I have never known a gun to behave in such a way once you put a moderator on it.I got in touch with the retailer I purchased it from and they say there is a disclaimer stating that it isn't suitable for use with a moderator.I would prefer the full stock version rather than the thumbhole but it is a cracking rifle for the money.

      Hello Nigel ,
We have had a rush on our stock of Airacuda rifles this week and will be looking to order 10 next week.
There’s been a problem apparently with the fitting of moderators and the pellet clipping the edge on exit, but it’s not a fault on every rifle .
JTS are on the case though to sort it out , I didn’t think they really needed a mod, but each to their own eh🤷🏼‍♂️
I hope you enjoy yours, give the stock a coat of wax polish , it’ll amaze you how better it looks 👍

I bought the airacuda max and although it was a very good looking rifle it leaked from the barrel from the start of owning it. Had to use mole grips and a cloth to remove the refill dust cap first time I was refilling. Sad really because I actually had a airacuda max that worked well with the moderator fitted. Pity the leaks let the rifle down. I am now stuck with a moderator and 2 magazines that are of no use at all. In the end i bought a HW100 and never looked back.

I would expect , if competition target shooting is your thing , you probably wouldn’t rattle through a full magazine as I did in the video?
I appreciate your comment entirely , but I think the rate of fire demonstrated that if shot properly, and with the chosen right pellets, this rifle could compete with others that are more than twice the price .
