    You know what would be good for a Fairly Oddparents game? A sandbox game like Scribblenauts, but you can explore Dimmsdale, and you can wish anything you want [that isn’t against the rule.] think of it as a 3D game exploration game where there are hidden secrets, and stuff like that. There can also be a story mode, where you have to wish things to help you throughout the levels. The story can be basic, it could also just be an episode’s idea, heck the levels could be like mini episodes like Breakin’ Da Rules, or shadow showdown.
    That’s basically my idea of a Fairly Oddparents game, what do y’all think?

    We all played licensed games as a kid and I personally am very interested as to whether or not most of them hold up. I stay saying this but you deserve way more subs for this quality content. Keep up the great work.

    The show never aired on Disney Channel here in the Netherlands because there was no Dutch Disney Channel in 2003, so it premiered on Nickelodeon. By the time we did get Disney Channel in 2009, it was safe to say it was too late.

    Your writing about deceiving first impressions is so right. I've played some games that I initially didn't get or found frustrating, but overtime became favourites of mine to play.
    Perhaps I'll give 'The Fairly Oddparents' another watch. From what I've watched of Season 1 I found it unenjoyable, but maybe the next few downplay the fatiguing tendencies. Enjoyable video as usual.

    Don't understand why this show didn't get any games at least in the early 2010's. Imagine a game for the DS or 3DS at least.

      It has to be a rights thing IMO. The show was such a staple for Nickelodeon alongside SpongeBob, it doesn't make sense for Nick to not cash in on it.

      @@CartoonReview around the early 2010’s I stopped caring for the show and forgot it was still relevant thanks to the lack of merchandise and video games. The last console game to feature that show was in the third Nicktoons game in 2007

    Great review, if you like this game your really gonna like the magical quest series of Disney games When you get to Disney video game history. 8:04 one thing probably worth knowing before hand is the fairy world level has some Wands if you run to the left at the beginning of the stage and fall down the building. Just a tip for the people who play this game one day, your gonna need it because that stage is awful

      They're technically different games but I don't think they're different enough to warrant two reviews IMO. They're fundamentally the same thing with slight tweaks from what I can tell. Willing to be convinced that it's worth covering both though!

    Out of curiosity, why'd you abandon the old way you reviewed games and not use music from the game being reviewed?

    • @CartoonReview
      @CartoonReview  2 года назад +3

      Because I prefer this visual aesthetic and vibe. My old videos looked cheap IMO, and it's not always possible to find the OST for every game I cover. To be clear though, the way I review games hasn't changed. The actual content of these reviews is literal identical to the way it's always been, I just changed some visuals.

      @@CartoonReview I know the format of how you reviewed games never changed. It just felt odd that the layout of reviewing games changed. I never really felt the old reviews felt cheap. It had a nice feel of nostalgia since you're reviewing Nick and CN games in chronological order. Same with using the game's soundtrack. But I can understand.

    The reason why there is different boxart and no Nickelodeon logos on Europe maybe it is for different reason. For example most games of that time we have different boxart for most Nickgames. For example Spongebob Movie,Light camera pants, etc.
    About the Nickelodeon logo for example in my country Spai, all the vhs and a lot of the dvds delate Nickelodeon from de orange Splat, I do not why, because this vhs were published by Paramount Spain and we have at that moment the Nickelodeon channel. All my vhs said in the back cover "see this cartoon on Nickelodeon" its strange that the remove the logos but not this message. The dvds I remenber it has like a sticker on the dvd to not show Nickelodeon logo

    It's my personal belief that Nick hasn't been using Timmy and the faires in the games much because it's still fresh in a lot of people's minds that they milked the series well past the cow being dead.
    They want to keep fairly odd parents content (aside the live action reboot) on 5he downlow until people forget it was on the air as long as it was and declined in quality as bad as it did.
