I love how in the first cutscene, literally every single car is making sparks, so it means they actually made the cutscenes in the game engine. Just a really funny detail.
You'll notice that these scenes begin with the player character's vehicle idling in place, and end with a regular police chase without all the insanity. I think these scenes are dream sequences of the player's character where he's sleeping in his car, hears the cops coming and imagines these crazy situations right before he wakes up and bolts.

Well I say this is probably the scariest racing game I've played so far. When hitting the side mirrors of a civilian car can make you go flying across the street. It's genuinely scary trying to turn a corner on a populated city and not knowing how many civilian cars are stopping at a red light. Those are more effective than an SUV roadblock ffs.
To all of those who are confused: I showed to one of my friends and he said that these cutscenes are probably a parody of Bollywood movies. He told me one example where the cops do the nearly exact stunts as we see here. Still hilarious.

I've never played Need for Speed, but I'm just imagining somehow hitting 6 star wanted level in GTA and this starts happening.
Interestingly, some GTA games before GTA 5 actually had Wanted Level limits that weren’t 5. GTA 4, for instance, had 6 stars.

The vast majority of GTA games have six stars, with only the first and last GTA game being outliers. Make it more like 7 stars and you’ll be fine.
