Thank you, Heavenly Father for your promise. I failed in my charge as a mother, as a result of my choices I lost the trust of my daughter. I worked too much and was gone when she needed me to be her protector. I was too busy being a provider when all she needed was me. I failed in showing her the way to you Father and that breaks my heart more than anything. I’ve let you down. It was my job to teach her about you. Now I can only pray that she will find her own way to you. It’s been five years since I have heard her voice and its been almost ten years since I saw her in person. She wants nothing to do with me. In some ways it is like a death. But I can now see that I need to trust in you and seek you for comfort. I know you will never leave me and I know you will never leave her. Thank you FOF and Mr. Mac for your story. For reminding me of our Lord’s Promise.
I too made bad choices and decisions as a single Mom of two boys years ago❤I was not consistent in my walk with the Lord and we do reap what we sow and I am now grieving in my heart as both of my adult sons are struggling with addictions of their own. I’m praying for reconciliation with your daughter and I’m also praying that our Heavenly Father will send people in your prodigal daughter’s life to point her to the King of Kings who is the ONLY ONE that can can bring healing to both of our families!❤❤❤❤ Blessings & Hugs from The Hudson Family in NC❤❤❤🙏🙏🙏

Some days I think I’ve got it down and surrender is easy other times I feel like I am holding on to stuff that I need to let go. Bottom line is I fight fear, doubts everyday, I counter it with praying and studying my Bible.
Literally stand at your door and call her back- don’t stop until she returns. Restoration through Christ! Karen Wheaton is very inspiring concerning this.
Toby is so honest and open with people. What a sensitive man. Love him.
What really struck me was: In his grief, Toby wanted to be done with the music business, but how God gently, gently brought him back to it through the grief. He is so kind!!

Toby is one of my favorite artists. My dad loved him. He committed suicide 3 years ago. Now when I hear Toby Mac I think of my dad’s last years of fighting. I feel pain and hope when I hear it.

My nephew was an amazing musician, and a believer, but the demons of anxiety and tormented him😢 He went to Jesus. Until it happens to you personally, it is impossible to explain. So many emotions. One day, I saw Toby on video giving his witness, followed by his performance of "you're the goodness in my life.." That song is anointed and I thank Him from the depth of my heart in Yeshua Jesus Beloved Name❤
Dito he looked so hurt. I admire his honesty and willingness to talk about such a diffcult experience.
Praise God for this message. In November 2022 my adult son took his life. If it wasn't for God being in my heart and life, i believe I would have lost my mind after my son passed. Gods been using me to love on others that have lost someone due to death. My life has been hard but during this brokenness God is helping me to grieve gracefully. Thank you Toby for your testimony.

I am a grieving mom, my oldest son. I am also a worship musician in a small church. My walk with God also became different, it had to. Thank you for sharing with us. Loved hearing TobyMac’s story of grief. I’m sure it is helping someone else to process their own with Christ by their side, or finally inviting Christ into it. I lost my dad and God loudly reminded me that I have an eternal Heavenly Father that will guide me spiritually now that my Earthly Father and mentor was in the presence of Jesus. I was a difficult mentee…my poor Dad. I am now grateful for the peace my Dad is now rewarded with.

Our middle son went to Jesus, my husband almost never talked about his death. It wasn’t his way. So hearing this man openly share his grief is amazing! We need all types of people ❤
It's great to hear the story behind the story. As a widow, I have had the same experience of getting to know God is a deeper way than ever before. God IS so kind ~ and so personally loving and compassionate! He hovers over us, watching over us. His love is like NO other!
Without other Christians life is nearly impossible

My mom read her,Bible front to back every year, for 50 years, when she went blind she would listen to it on tape player, until she passed. So yes reading God's Word front to back is important 🙌

There's so much I could share...not enough space, but our God is truly an awesome God and He will never leave me nor forsake me. Your story your music and your song "21 years" all have touched me and helped me through my grief knowing someone else was staying strong and loving the lord after a horrible loss of a child/ young adult. I Unfortunately loss the love of my life my only 20 y.o. daughter Emily to an aggressive type of cancer 3 and a half years ago. I have leaned like never before on the Lord and he is so Amazingly loving and glorious! I know and trust she is in good hands and that I will be in heaven one great day with Jesus and get to have the joy of seeing her again one day. I know you will too. ❤️✝️🙌🌻🎗

Thank you all it did touch me too. I been trying to help a homeless guy, he’s living in a camper on my property. I was disappointed in him not trying like I thought he should and it started a bit of a argument. I was ready to make him leave. Then after feeling like I can’t be the judge of others not knowing and not always putting their all into trying to better himself. I will continue to try to help him the best I can to put the life back into his heart he needs. Thanks Toby I love your music ❤

It happens more than most people think. Love to your family.
Jesus is the only truth. He knows our circumstance without us knowing. People run on emotion and that gets people in trouble.
In the 90's he said that hope is on the way. In the 2000s he said that hope is on the way. In the 2010s he said that hope is on the way. In the 2020s hope is on the way. It never seems to get here, it's just something he continually says, and hopes that nobody will notice.
Iam so much like you and agree that there are so much more of us, like myself that have this feeling of wanting to burst out our love of Jesus
