Daihatsu Applause Head Gasket Replacement, Plus Gets Low!

We get the Daihatsu Applause back in and figure it’s been running rough, and consuming coolant. The reason is worse than we thought!!
Plus, it also gets loooooooowwwww!

A few years back , a common mod for Daihatsu charades ( G200 series) was to drop in the Applause 1.6L motor, as a replacement for the 1.3L motor the Charades had.

Makes sense, there’s no replacement for displacement they say!
Sounds similar to dropping a paseo 1.5 into a starlet, replacing the 1.3

Manufactured in Japan and sold to the audience market.
Service and repair parts are available at most auto shops here. But interior, body, and electrical components are hard to find
