I've been playing the ukulele for a few months now, so I'm past the easy stuff, but not quite skilled enough for the complicated stuff yet. This was perfect for someone like me who's in the middle. Beautiful Video! I know it was made a long time ago, but it would be nice to get an understanding of what sorts of emotions you feel these strumming patterns convey, and example song that you might use each of them in.

This is very helpful. It would be even more helpful if you played the full speed version a little longer. The first example is especially hard to gage.

I love this tutorial! Do you have suggestions for songs to use them on?
I cant seem to strum with my 4 fingers. I only strum my thumb. Is that wrong? Or should i learn and practice to do it with the other 4?
Nah fam thats fine, there are a lot of ways to strum, you should choose the one that comes most naturally and is the most comfortable for you. A lot of ukulele players on yt strum with their thumb and so do I.
You can even use a pick. Whatever seems the most comfortable to you.

I can’t figure the counting. I get up to 1&2clap3&4&1&2&. I have no idea where the next 2 counts are.
I can’t figure out your counting on the 1st one. I have to still watch the rest of the video to see if I understand those strum examples. This one makes no sense to me when trying to add count.
