But was this really satisfying? I think you need to show him how it's done, and get all the 'actual' stars (no moons or shines) in 'every' game they're in.

Of course you'd need to start with Party and reset until you get a good RNG for your run, then the rest is pretty easy, just need to get good at 64's tricks

Seems the category is based on the most popular titles which is the most boring format one could have picked. People already know where the first stars are in most of these. But where would it be in Superstar Saga or how you go about Mario Pinball?

would be cool to see some BOTW challenges if you play that games, something like "how quickly can you get a complete set of armor" or something along those lines

Mario 3's goal should not count. That's a card with a star picture, not a power up. Games like Mario 64 are different because there are no stars for means of invincibility.
And Smash is not a Mario game.
Bro, why do you keep clickbaiting your videos? I know it followed someone else's speedrun, but why not try to change the speedrun a bit and include other games, since there were a lot missing. At the end you commented about not getting the star in every Mario game, which shows that even you measured up to your subscribers.
the end level star in mario 3 is different than start from a block?
The one at the end of the level is a “star card” :)

Here are some actual star strats to keep in mind in case you ever decide to put actual effort in this challenge in particular.
In Mario Odyssey, only the Mushroom Kingdom has stars, but you can warp to Yoshi’s house in that area early through the Luncheon Kingdom and that’s a star collected in that game.
In Bowser’s Fury, 100 coins gives you a star.
In every Mario Kart game, I assume you get a star the same way you get mushrooms in MK, by going near the back of the pack and hoping to god you get it.
Almost Mario Party game’s main objective (as far as I know stars don’t appear in Island Tour) is to get as many stars as you can, so you win if you grab one star, but there are a few exceptions to the rule.
Mario Party Advance has stars but only in the Bonus Board.
Mario Party 9 has Mini Stars, but they all form into a regular star so you have to win a whole game to obtain it.
and Mario Party 10 only has stars in Amiibo Party.
So yeah, I’m still hoping you do a real challenge out of this in the future so these would help you.
Mario Party Island Tour has Super Stars as usable items in the Perilious Palace Path board where it doubles the user's roll
In Mario Party 10 stars can be obtained more easly by simply playing the opening cutscene of the minigame Cheep Cheep Leap, as the players all grab Super Stars to gain invincibility
