Why is every roller coaster designed these days launch based? I love the anticipation and anxiety while the chain slowly brings you up the hill as you watch yourself getting higher and higher.
Because launched based is whats popular now and these types of coasters are always getting better and faster. More people also enjoy launch coasters so its more expansion than anything, since your standard roller coaster can take up more space and has been the thing for decades. In short, launch based coasters are whats more popular so more of them are being made
It's real simple. Less Maintenance. Less Moving Parts. Smaller overall footprint. Also easier to evacuate riders in the rare instance where the ride does break.
@malloryb12345we got quick queue and lemme tell u that was the best investment ever it was only like a 10 minute wait for dark coaster and most rides (including the griffin) we could walk on
I honestly didn't think it was this cool, it was like following a snake trail in the dark with two launches. I don't think it was worth the 1 hour wait and huge hype up, but it is a family coaster and I perfer the twist, upside-down, flips and drops in roller-coasters so DarKoster wasn't my favorite Not bashing anyone else's opinions as my cousins said it was awesome too
I hate rollercoasters and went on darkoaster because my family said it was tame and underwhelming for them. They are big coaster fans, and I went on it and it was okay
Ikr I’m excited me and my family have the summer passes to go whenever we want I thought no we have been like 5 times so far,got to say I can’t choose a favorite coaster but I do get a kick out of the Texas Stingray 😊
Darkoaster is actually really fun! (For a little help: if it is a 30-50 min wait it is so worth it!! But if it is a 1 hour and 30-3 hour wait it is not worth it)
Yeah, when me and my friends went we went to darkoaster first so there wasn’t a long wait. Later in the day, (even after we just got off) the time was already like an hour and a half wait! The 30 min wait was worth it, also got front row :D
I was at seaworld Orlando last Friday the 21st and saw how close the surf coaster is to being done,😊 I’m definitely going back this summer to go on it!
Okay B&M did not because its more comfortable because the original stand up coasters were not comfortable. Its not supposed to be sus. roller coasters are not like that.
News about DarKoaster from someone who experienced it: if its over a 2 hour wait, it's not worth it. If you've ever been to space mountain at Disney, it's just like it.
Darkoaster I rode in Virginia. Top speed is 36-37 miles an hour and it’s all indoor. It’s not too crazy, it’s a short ride and you sit on snowmobiles while holding onto the handles and it sends you quickly indoors
What I think is funny about sea world is that the only way that they can make some people learn about sea life is to attach a bunch of roller coasters to the park 😂
Idk...after experiencing the mantis at cedar point before it was replaced, i will never do stand up coaters again. The g force on your calves from standing makes it feel like they are getting ripped out.
The surf coaster actually looks sick
I imagine the pit you get in your stomach on drops is even crazier standing up
it looks so mid
Glad I live near it
@@coasters4life388 “it looks so mid” -👶
@@CobbleBompster it’s true

What about the anticipation when getting launched

most coasters in the Netherlands aren't
There are still chain lift coasters in production, they're just not as common these days.

NEW UPDATE: pipeline is now open to employees and will open on the last Saturday of May (May 27)
went on darkoaster yesterday, was SO fun. it goes really really fast and everything is pitch black so you don’t know what’s happening. super intense!
I went on Father's day and I rode darkoaster, I am not a huge roller coaster person but I loved the ride. The wait was horrible
tbh the ride for me was super underwhelming

Love to still see all this innovation in coaster design. 👍
Jesus and God love you
Darkoasters alright, no drops but just a good amount of alright speed, fun dark visuals, etc. It’s not super crazy but it’s just a decent ride.
SeaWorld San Antonio is opening Catapult falls a renovated version of the old Texas Splash down . Don't forget about that one .
Didn’t forget! Just not technically a roller coaster
Not a coaster
Ikr I’m excited me and my family have the summer passes to go whenever we want I thought no we have been like 5 times so far,got to say I can’t choose a favorite coaster but I do get a kick out of the Texas Stingray 😊
Yup I saw it but when I went there it was just a construction place.
Went on darkkoaster, loved it, loved what the did with it, seats aren’t as uncomfortable as expected.
Yess, it was so fast the liquids in my eyes were like, being blown out of my eyes 😂. It was very cool and just absolutely thrilling

Okay B&M did not because its more comfortable because the original stand up coasters were not comfortable. Its not supposed to be sus. roller coasters are not like that.

Pipe line is awesome ride!
I actually waited 2 and a half hours for Darkcoaster, actually worth the wait!
Same but I get to ride it a lot
I was there the first day it opened and it broke down while I was in the long line 😭
nahhh the dark coaster was super underwhelming and with quick queue we got on the ride in under 15 minutes
Seaworld, Orlando, Seaworld, San Diego😂😂
Pipeline is actually so fun
Frrr it’s my fave ride at seaworld
Got to be one of the first people on the surf one in Orlando FL and it is a really weird sensation!!!!!

Went on the arctic rescue yesterday. It was so fun!! It was super fast
Dark coaster looks insane
Aussies:STEALERSSSS
Pipeline seems like the Green Lantern roller coaster all over again
yeah but B&M has improved their stand up model. So it is a ton better. it has airtime! 🎉
“Sea World is opening the first ever surf coaster”
I…. I need it
Im probably gonna hate it, but I need it
I went to sea world and the surfing one is so much fun, I really recommend it
The only indoor launch coaster I’ve been on is flight of fear and that one Disney music coaster
i just went to arctic rescue today, and its a really fun and smooth ride
Idk...after experiencing the mantis at cedar point before it was replaced, i will never do stand up coaters again. The g force on your calves from standing makes it feel like they are getting ripped out.
the darkcoster is actually in Busch gardens Williamsburg Virginia.
Hold up every New SeaWorld coaster also shows bush garden’s coaster
Sea world entertainment owns both sea world and busch gardens parks, so on a technicality it’s still sea world
Busch gardens is a SeaWorld park lol SeaWorld owns it
Yo pipeline is awesome i rode it. Amaxing
I went on the darkoaster like 2 days ago it was so fun
Pipeline seems to be getting good reviews. Now I gotta go to Florida.

San Diego’s artic one is so fun. Especially because of how long the ride is
Darkoaster looks sweet
they kept closing randomly and i couldn’t go on because of it.
I’ve been on the diving board one it’s so fun
The pipeline reminds me of the roller coaster Shockwave Kings Dominion used to have
Also cant forget Sea World Abu Dhabi
They took my idea of a stand up coasters
Stand up coasters have been around for like 40 years..
What about San Antonio's
i did the pipeline coaster and it was sooo funnnn
Pipe Line is like the iron wolf which they replaced for Goliath
