I've spent the past two years watching YT videos on van conversions and building out my 4x4 sprinter conversion and I need to say this: you are absolutely amazing. Both your attention to detail on explaining your steps, your building technique, your video editing and your personality is absolutely phenomenal. Keep up the amazing work, I hope that your channel catches on (it looks like it is starting to) because it is one of the best.
Well for me to work out of it, I need to stay fresh.... ROAMR can transition from my back country cabin to my inner city luxury hotel very smoothly!! Thanks for watching and commenting!!
Rivnuts? Really??? You’re the only one on all the videos I’ve seen smart enough to use them. Kudos! As for the gravel: I know your pain after restoring a 1964 Fireball Meteor camper on a gravel driveway. 3.5 years constantly getting down there was a pain….literally. It’s apparent you’re Canadian, eh?
Evgeny Reznitsky awesome, humour can go either way and always a concern during the edit process. Thank you so much for watching and super happy you enjoyed!!
Good to see your progress, there was a lot of problems you overcame to get this done .i like that you keep it real for your PEEPS can’t wait for the next vid
Bout to mount my 10gl grey tank over the next couple days, Finally!! One of the last things to do on my van build. (besides hooking up dc-dc charger and installing battery, and a lot of electrical connections. lol. and other small things here and there but not crucial systems ya know) Good idea. I'll probably drill thru if i can and use bolts'nuts. But same idears. Thanks!
Thanks Paul, this design went through some serious changes from initial thoughts to end product... But super happy with the result!! As always thank you for watching and commenting!!!
Cool vids. Enjoy what you have done so far. Justa suggestion - of course. Your ball valve drain mechanism on the grey tank may have to have a strap to keep it from rotating down during the first 200 or fewer miles down the road. As another popular RUclips van builder says "avalanche and a hurricane" as these RVs are heading down the road. lol
It would be easy with your setup to add some puncture protection to the bottom of your mounting. I would worry about a flying rock or a drag obstacle puncturing that soft plastic underside. A cut aluminum sheet would do it.
I did think of this idea a lot while planning, but decided against as I don't think it will be an issue. Would take a pretty big hit to break that plastic.. None of my RV trailer tanks were covered and never had a problem..
Wondering about this tank setup. Is there room under the sprinter to have two tanks there instead of one? Say if you had a black and grey water setup in the same location?
Haha that guy Sty should have known you were the invincible plumber 😉 but very well done Dares, great project and great quality as always. Have been missing your videos, clicked as soon as I woke up.
Dan Biggie haha I told Sti it wouldn’t last long with me. It had to find out for itself the hard way. Glad you enjoyed the project and Thank you so much for watching and commenting!!
Freaking awesome dude!! 5 stars and subscribed! I needed to know how to install a hole for a sink drain, and this told me everything. I have mot been able to find any vids that show underneath the van. So thank you very much! What kind of primer did you use for the floor hole? Auto paint primer? Gracias!
Will the airbags you installed do all the leveling so the water flows and drains correctly? How fine is that adjustment? Would a spirit level bubble be all you need and what’s the optimal position to install that? Could you automate the leveling process? How cool would that be, just push a button on your key fob.
Hey thanks for watching and commenting!! The air bags are more for keeping ROAMR riding level while driving with the weight of the build installed. They are not designed for levelling while parking. I do have an idea for levelling, but you will have to stick around to learn more about that in future vids!! Thanks again!
Do you need a gray water tank or can just let it drain out on the ground. Its just soap and water for the shower its like washing your car on your driveway 😆. I would make it another clean water tank.
Why not use a proper grey tank dump valve so if you're at a proper campsite that has a dump station, then you can dump it fast or set it to open and have a direct drain into the sewer. Then buy a cap that you can hook a garden hose that can be stretched far away from the site when your dry camping! who wants a smelly shower or kitchen sink water smelling under the van lol
I have binge watched all your videos recently, they are great! Thank you for taking time to do this. Question. My 2017 Sprinter came with a factory installed accessory heater booster installed exactly where you gray water tank is. How come you don’t have one of those heaters? Living in Canada I imagine you would need one. I’m debating whether to remove mine and make room for a gray water tank. Any thoughts or comments?
That stye looked super painful but glad it went away quickly! Super good install, won't even know it's there. Any concern that rocks and such will bounce off the road and hit your tank?
I'm coming near the end of your vids up to this point, after binge watching all of them for the past few days. Nicely done. Is there a reason you used silicone and not plumbers putty when sealing the shower drain to the pan?
New video posted today!!! Putting pressure on me to work faster now!! lol.. Honestly I never knew about the putty until someone else commented the same thing to me... Silicone should do the job just fine though..
Ummm I guess possibly some shavings could be left behind. But really not much that could be done to prevent.. I do use a magnet to catch majority when drilling.

Wow, absolutely amazing!! So happy I am able to deliver the value I hoped for!! Thank you so much for watching and commenting.
Have to agree 💯. Best of class.
I just got the 18 gal and realized I had zero idea how to mount it. Thank you so much!!
Best little thing I did was make a Big mat out of Reflectix. Neck, and back saver!
Very interesting part of your build Jeff - very slick install !!
Sam B awesome, thank you for watching!
Love that p-trap bypass!
Get some ointment for your eye Jeff !
Done and done!!!! Thanks for watching and commenting!!
Next van build, put some more comfortable gravels in your driveway. I suggest rounded river gravel
Love the concealed carry holster commercials on your channel tonight. Very Canadian.
Great shower set up so you can keep clean on those long journeys into the back woods !

I will have to say this series is the best instructional van how-to I’ve watched. Very informative, very real world.
It’s so cool when that kind of videos are not only informative but funny too. Keep up the good work, man. 😎
Evgeny Reznitsky awesome, humour can go either way and always a concern during the edit process. Thank you so much for watching and super happy you enjoyed!!
Mr. Dares, you’ve helped me again. This vid is a lifesaver - answered a ton of questions. Thank you!
This is the video I needed so badly!! Your the best dude!
You might want to think of adding a skid plat on the front and bottom. Rocks, stones, racoons.
Yes this has been discussed but I haven't found a solution I like yet!! More to come. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Great job and wonderful video. Always very thorough.
Good to see your progress, there was a lot of problems you overcame to get this done .i like that you keep it real for your PEEPS can’t wait for the next vid
Seems everything needs to be customized to fit!! Haha, loving the challenge.. Thanks for watching, super happy you are enjoying.
almost like you planned it, well done love your work.
Incredible detailed video. Live your enthusiasm! Thank you for sharing!!!

Great video. All of your videos are extremely helpful.
Being a 4 season van, are you worried that the shower tank will freeze in cold climates?
A video 5 months in and zero thumbs-down!
You have done an impressive job, so goodbye to the sty and hello to the next video!
#Winning.. Thanks for watching and commenting, glad the vids are providing value!
I got me some bathin apes!
I really enjoy this video, something I can actually do my self! Beautifully done, thank you Jeff!
Perfect, glad it was helpful.. Good luck and thanks for watching!
A lot of effort and thinking gone into that jeff plus a lot of patience, look forward to your next video.

Nice work! Would you please share the end cap link? Thank you.

Amazing job !! Plenty of good information. Question. Where do you purchase the ball valve mechanism ? I need one of those. Thanks and congrats !!
Great job Jeff what do you think about replacing those loose straps with a skid plate to protect your tank
Great custom made brackets!
Thank you, I tried a couple different ways but settled on this idea.
Great video!

Nice install!! Can you post the tank brand / part# and where you got it please? Thank you!
Where did the pipe extender from the drain come from?.....thanks
When is the final van tour? I want to see the finished laminated panel skins. I want to see if it was worth all the work you did.
Wondering about this tank setup. Is there room under the sprinter to have two tanks there instead of one? Say if you had a black and grey water setup in the same location?
Great videos. Question do you know how much weight cross bars can handle? Thank you
What happens if you park on a hill or get stuck waiting on a steep grade say in SF ...
Haha that guy Sty should have known you were the invincible plumber 😉 but very well done Dares, great project and great quality as always. Have been missing your videos, clicked as soon as I woke up.

Very informative! Great job!!
Super happy you enjoyed, thank you for watching and commenting!
New sub here. This is very cool, but what I wa t to know is how you plan to keep your Grey water tank from freezing in winter?
How do vent the tank so it doesn't become air bound? Is there a breather somewhere
The grey tank looks so small, like it would be full halfway 1 shower session. HOw much liters is it?
좋아요^^ verry good^^
Do you plan on heating and insulating your grey tank?
Freaking awesome dude!! 5 stars and subscribed! I needed to know how to install a hole for a sink drain, and this told me everything. I have mot been able to find any vids that show underneath the van. So thank you very much!

awesome job! what type of rubber did you use to protect the tanks from rubbing?

Fantastic job my friend! Thanks so much for the info!
So the gray tank won’t fully drain because the drain hole is about an inch high off the bottom of the tank?
Why not use a proper grey tank dump valve so if you're at a proper campsite that has a dump station, then you can dump it fast or set it to open and have a direct drain into the sewer. Then buy a cap that you can hook a garden hose that can be stretched far away from the site when your dry camping! who wants a smelly shower or kitchen sink water smelling under the van lol
Of course, the chances are high that the pan will only drain *completely on the road; it’s nearly-never absolutely level IRL.
I have binge watched all your videos recently, they are great! Thank you for taking time to do this. Question. Awesome, glad you are enjoying the series!! Yes I do have an engine heater as well. It is located further ahead of where we installed the water tank.
Awesome work! How's the great stuff been holding up to seal the holes?
Excellent video! Do you have a link for the tailpipe drain extender?
Thank you very much. Should be this one here.

That stye looked super painful but glad it went away quickly! Super good install, won't even know it's there. Any concern that rocks and such will bounce off the road and hit your tank?
Thanks Kurtis, the plastic is pretty flexible and should be fairly resilient to the odd rock bouncing off i think..
I'm coming near the end of your vids up to this point, after binge watching all of them for the past few days. Nicely done. Is there a reason you used silicone and not plumbers putty when sealing the shower drain to the pan?

Hey man! This is amazing! I was wondering if it's possible to also tap in the sink drain to this tank as well!? Thank you so much!!!
Yes that is definitely possible, I will have a separate grey tank for my sink water. Will share more in the future!
Any concern with rust from metal shavings inside the rib?
Ummm I guess possibly some shavings could be left behind. But really not much that could be done to prevent.. I do use a magnet to catch majority when drilling.
Nice!!! Do you have a good source for that 80/20 aluminum?
Hello, I purchased from this website. www.rmmc.net . They were great to work with.
Is that a P-trap or a pee trap?
Mine just goes straight out side on ground
i never had something in my eye
It sucks..lol Thanks for watching!
@@DaresDrives Maybe you should “make out” with your dog less! Lol just kidding - we’re dog people too!
im bringing you some OSB bro for your gravel lol
That 3/4 of an inch is difference of my belly fitting underneath or not!!! Thanks for watching..LMAO.
🤩
Where do you hide the drugs when you cross the border?
Why do you keep saying our and we. Are you trying to include Winston, or is that a royal we? How Dares you!
You can’t be a plumber. We can’t even see your crack.
You are not a plumber, unless you break into Watergate.
