- Claire Brock is joined by Minister of State Pippa Hackett, Community worker & Journalist Ciaran Mullooly and Independent TD Michael Healy-Ray to react to Eamon Ryan's draft legislation.
Claire asks Michael Healy Rae if he sees the possibility of alternative energy sources be used instead of turf instead of turf.
He responds by saying that there would have been a natural progression to stop using turf as an energy source in rural energy.
He critiques the Green Party for not targeting forestry in Ireland. He believes if the Greens care about the environment, they should be prioritising an area which the National Chairman says is in a "crisis" instead of targeting turf burning.
Pippa Hackett does not agree that there is a problem with forestry in Ireland or that there is a hold-up in licensing.

look at how they treat him -- talking over him when he politely listens to them.
Seasoned turf the cleanest fuel around , very palatable aroma when burning, so much so that whiskey distillers in most countries are now including this beautiful irish peat flavour into their brews with immense success ,
It sounds like shes importing Sadiq Khans script.Grew up in Ireland hated the bog stucking Wheelbarrowing & clamping. Burned turf on the fire it was how as working class families kept ourselves warm and heated the house & domestic water😊
Not on my Turf 💚🇮🇪
The greens are a disaster...
Bye bye greens.
whats the point of this when she stops people making the points they came on for. Waste of time as usual on the so called media.
