Go check out more about the Deputy revolver new from Taurus here: www.taurususa.com/revolvers/single-action/taurus-deputy-357-mag-4-3-qtr-6rds
Nice gun!!!
Glad to see Taurus is back in the single-action game. Their old Gaucho revolvers were great and this looks like a great successor.
Indeed! Thanks for watching!
Taurus own's Heritage Manufacturing since 2012 so heritage rough rider 22LR/22MAG was taurus and same for the heritage Big Bore revolvers the only difference is going to be name and price
@@johns3153 But they are still made in the U.S. Bainbridge GA.
Also Rossi
excellent. single actions are underrated. safe to throw in a bag unholstered and usually very accurate.
Right on
Never thought of the utility of single action anything in this regard. If in a pinch this checks off the "safety" box. Cheapo holster doesn't hurt regardless. Gonna reevaluate the SHTF procedure.
I love Taurus firearms. Have 2 judges. A 92 Beretta clone. And 2 g2c pistols. All no issues with. I love my Judge's the most
Not only is this revolver one of my favorite designs but also has the most satisfying hammer
Would like to see a 45acp cylinder like the ruger”s have
Don't hold your breath.... it would be worth a try to see if the Ruger cylinder fits the Taurus--you never know!!
Taurus 692 3 inch 357mag is my most favorite revolver of all time. With new rubber grips they put it looks so good, not old ribbed ones. Ported barrel, 7 shot , not super heavy. Plus spare 9mm cylinder is great. Best looking revolver in my opinion.
Yessir, it’s a true fighting revolver, I’ve put full power 357 mag loads in it and honestly it’s easier to control than my Heritage Rough Rider 357. I just wish I bought the stainless instead of black.
@@fairnheight3673 I think I like black one more, need to check in person. Thanks for the info
I was excited to hear about these until I remember that in 2020 I bought a NOS Gaucho (Their old SAA Clone) that worked itself out of timing after 128 rounds of .38 Special and 100 rounds of .357 Mag. I sent it back to Taurus and they scrapped it. Glad to see you are enjoying the new Deputy
Did Taurus refund you, or give you another one?
I have an old Colt .45 single action that I still carry once in a while. Yes, It has seen action in Arizona and Georgia way back in the late 90's.
Nice 👍🏽
Great video! Good to see someone from the Carolinas making such a video! Love single action revolvers, .357 magnum and the awesome fiddle music!
I have been doing research on this style of pistol and I really like it the more I see it. And this one in the.357 sounds like the one I want to purchase. Thanks.
@@Pete-lp5pw not a bad revolver in my opinion
The one thing I appreciate the most about Taurus' design is the wide trigger they have by default. While getting familiar to Colt or Uberti / Piettas more traditional narrow offset triggers is not difficult, it still feels a bit off for those who are accustomed to more modern triggers.
IMO, Taurus makes the BEST “Bang”, for YOUR BUCK”, in .22lr, 9mm, .357/,38Slpc, etc, compared to any other company out there! Thanks Taurus!!!
I agree the stainless 38 revolver is bought my wife is a damn nice gun. The 357 EAA windicator magnum is a nice pistol for the price .
Agree, I have G2C, 85, 942LR and 942magnum. Zero issues
Happy to finally see a review. Mine is being shipped right now and would've put up a review myself if nothing came by then
Nice!
Taurus makes a good revolver. I've had several and carry a Taurus 357mag often. That's what I like about this channel it shows the guns I'd be interested in👍
My two model 65s are solid.
Much appreciated it! Thanks 🙏
@@CarolinaEDCreviews I enjoy the channel, always watching for new video 👍
Love my Taurus DA/SA revolvers, of which I own four. Looked for a Gaucho for a long time a few years back. Gave up and fetched me a Taylor's-tuned Uberti Smoke Wagon in .357. Love this gun, and the single-action revolver in general (already owned four in .22LR.)
Would be curious about this one as more of a knock-around over the pricey Uberti.
Should offer a case hardened frame option. High polish stainless as well
Very cool man! Love the look of the old Colt clone Single Action Army wheel guns with the 4.75” barrel!!! Only thing better is a 3.5” barrel with a birds head grip. Little trick for you…. Some folks will advise against it, but I like to do this…. When ejecting an empty shell casings, immediately replace that with a live round. Then go to the next chamber and repeat. Basically you save a tiny little bit of time in loading as you are not having to go around with the cylinder twice (once to empty and once to load).
Nice, great idea, thanks for watching!
Nice review. The opening music is perfect. Thanks.
I appreciate you watching 👍🏽 please subscribe and share! Thank you
i like the drunken sailor playing in the intro. with a western gun.
that was my first thought when i started watching, kind of two different worlds there lol
@@ripurhrtoutSailors needed guns too.👍
This is great I’ve been looking for a companion gun for my Rossi R 92, 357/38 special
With a single action revolver with fixed sights one needs to try a bunch of different ammo. That way you’ll find one that works best for you and the revolver.
Been wanting something like this in 45 Colt for a while now. Thanks, Taurus! 👍
Right on
Oh shiiiiiit! I like that a lot man. Looking at their revolvers right now
I dig it! Didn't see this coming from Taurus. Hard to beat the simplicity of an old style single action. Oh yea .38 Special is a peach to shoot. I handled .38 Special and they're so pleasant. Awesome video brother!
Nice shooter, Good tunes 👌
That's really cool. I'd prefer this over the 45 to be honest
Hopefully this version will have a better success rate than the older Gaucho model. When I got into SA revolvers I researched all the brands available at that time and went with the Ruger Vaquero Bisley in stainless, the older model before they came out with the New Vaquero. The Taurus, Beretta and other Italian clones were also options. Since then I've gotten more into them and have some from EMF, Cimmaron, Pietta, Beretta and Uberti. I've found the Pietta built guns are more true to the original Colt...at least as far as the hammer. They have a true 4 click with no safeties but I did buy a Uberti base pin with the dual notches that acts as a hammer block safety. Overall the Piettas have the best lightest action and the Uberti is a little better finished on the metal edges. If I had to keep only one though it would be the Ruger. I'm thinking about one of these new Taurus models but giving them a little time to see how good they are. Looks nice though. I'd get the 357 only because of cheaper 38 special ammo. Thanks for reviewing one!
Love to try other brands as well, but this one is definitely not bad at all
Looks really cool. I want a single shot so bad.
single action, but yes they are cool, single shot is different
That's just too dang cool.
That`s one fine looking single action cowboy style revolver ... Nice video pard , stay safe 🤠👍👍
Thanks! 🙏
Something I learned from an armorer about shooting any firearm is to count your shots while you are shooting! It might just save your life!
Impressive I think I'll have to get me one.👊🇺🇸
Right on!👍🏽
Think I'm going to have to add one to the collection.
Right on!
Would like to see a disassembly video.
Just got a Rock Island M200 for a carry, but I need this.
Thanks, guy. Im needing a single action. I'll give Taurus a
Long horn 🐂 look. 😉
Nice. Thanks for posting.
Thanks for watching!
I think you just convinced me to get one. This is the first time I’ve seen one of your videos also. I just subscribed. Thanks!
Awesome, appreciate it 👍🏽
If I was only allowed to have 1(one) gun, that SAA or a competitors SAA would be it!!
Rose of Alabama!
Very pretty gun, forjas Taurus brasil
Nice…just picked one up today
Nice 👍
Fine vid! Thanks
Glad you liked it!
Been curious how this Taurus will do with this. Myself already have an old model Ruger vaquero in 45 colt. I came across the Ruger used after I picked up a Winchester 94AE in 45 colt. I liked the idea of same round in the handgun and carbine.
What I would consider ideal would be a single action style with a swing out cylinder and double action capability. That's my ideal. As of right now, the only revolver that has met my criteria, that I'm aware of, was the High Standard in 22 mag. Haven't seen one in years, but they did make it at one time.
How about doing this again in a decent caliber??? ( 32 H&R mag, 327 Federal, 357 mag, 9mm with moon clips, 10mm with moon clips, etc).
If i could get them all trust me I would, but is not easy to do
I got the high standard 22 mag model 106 or 104 sweet gun.
Check out the Schofield clones in 45 Colt. They are break top auto eject. Use 45 S&W (Schofield) brass which has wider rim for more positive ejection along with N Frame speed loaders. Just as fast as the swing out cylinder and can be emptied with one hand. They are about twice the price of a Deputy but beautiful machines.
They also make them in .38 Special.
I'm definitely going to check it out at the gun store.
Esse REVÓLVER SERIA ÓTIMA PERFEITO CASO FOSSE D 7" POl. D CANO aí é chave d OURO .
That is a nice revolver, have to.look that up. Thanks for your review.
That’s going to be my next purchase. I’m going to go with the .45colt. Great review! Just liked and subscribed!! Thanks!
Awesome! Thank you!
I love this guns.
Great vid !! Got to love a SAA!!
You know it!
Awesome video been thinking of purchasing one
Worth it 👍🏽
You can speed your shooting by keeping you weak hand thumb high and at the ready instead of moving it up and down.
I have a Ruger Blackhawk
45lc. This looks like a very nice gun. Catchy name! Smart marketing.
Don't let Alec Baldwin near this.
😂😂😂😂😂
😂😂😂😂
😆😆😆😆@@johnmorganjr769
Thats funny
A complete evaluation would mention several things. Why no case colors? Is the revolver cast or forged? Take the grips off to show type of mainspring. Is the grip frame compatible with any other brand grips? Compare the transfer bar mechanism and clicks to Colt and Colt clones. To start
all sounds good, but i dont own any cots, and im new to revolver world like i mentioned in the video, but thanks for the feedback
This model does have the infamous 4 hammer C-O-L-T clicks !!!
@@jeffreyelliott622Famous not infamous. 😇
Seems like a very nice choice.
Nice single action revolver 🤠
Yes very nice!👍🏽
The Gaucho rides again. I have been champing at the bit to see a review of this. I want one in 45.
Worth it for sure 👍🏽
"Champing at the bit", few people actually know that that is the proper use of the phrase. Hat's off to you sir!
Great review, I’m planning to buy a couple 👍
Go for it!
Thanks for the review. It’s the only one for the deputy on here. How was the hammer draw? It seemed pretty decent. Keep up the great job.
A TAUROS tinha q ter esse REVÓLVER nos CALIBRES 44.40 WIN , 45 LOG COLT, 38-40 WINCHESTER. COM 7" POl. CANO . AI VENDA 100% SUCESSO no MUNDO E BRASIL. ACORDA DIRETORIA DA TAUROS.

Found your channel sir very nice revolver. 😊
Thanks 👍🏽
Looks great from here.
It is!
I wanna be a cowboy baby 🤠🤠🤠
Nice. I might get one.
Go for it!
that looks sharp
would love taurus to offer a modern single action revolver chambered in 9mm new for $400.
podia ter este modelo aqui no Brasil , mesmo sendo difícil o acesso a armas e munições estaria um pouco mais perto... quem sabe um dia chegamos lá 👍
Eu vou é tratar de conseguir um pra mim por vias outras.
Which do you prefer: The Taurus or the Ruger Vaquero?
Best advice, try both, and also try different ones, Uberti, and Pietta are all good also I've all Exept the Taruras
that's a very good review on a nice looking gun. i'll have to look at one. i've never had an sa revolver and was thinking of one of the little 22's.. you must be shooting somewhere in the piedmont. it looks like where i shoot, almost, but l don't have any gravel in my woods.
Glad to see a revolver review. Do they make it in 29 cal?
Unfortunately no, but thanks for watching!
Great review, thank you.
Our pleasure!
Nice
Is it a 2 clicks or 4 clicks when cocking.
Slow down when shooting. It's not an auto loader it well shoot different point of aim.
Shoot faster when you better.
2 clicks
Dam,cool,gun
Looks like my Blackhawk 357
I will probably order one of these. It looks like a great revolver. One concern/question: It looks like the hammer spur is a very long reach for your thumb. It seems a little cumbersome to cock. Agree/disagree? Have you had an issue with that?
It is a little longer then I preferred but use the off hand to cock it 🤷🏽♂️
When I saw you use your off-hand thumb to cock the revolver, that made me notice the long hammer spur. You did a great job with this review and I enjoyed it very much. Continue to enjoy your new Taurus.
I must have
Indeed 👍🏽
Wow I want one I hope it will be available here in the 🇵🇭👍👍👍👍👍
🤞
Many Thanks for presenting a nice looking Gun Congratulations to TAURUS
Wonder if it will handle the heavy ruger only loads?
Can’t say for sure 🤷🏽♂️
The .357 handles any SAMMI loads. As far as I know there are no Ruger only loads in .357.
For 45 Colt it is SAMMI specs only. No Ruger loads. That said a full SAMMI specs load should handle anything one is likely to encounter. Remember the original black powder load was designed to take out a horse in battle.
Interestingly a full black powder load is more powerful than most smokeless loads but with the right powder you can get close enough.
A 250gr LSWC at 850-950 fps has a lot of thump. It is more than a .45 ACP.
Nice 💯
Thanks 💯
🇺🇸
Thanks Mike 🇺🇸👍🏽
Not for over 600
Buds has them right now for $480
I can hit three bottles throwed in the air at the same time.
Does any company make black plastic grips like the Colt grips that had an eagle on the middle of the grip ? To fill the palm .
Not sure 🤔
You might be able to find some on gunbroker.
Hello beautiful...
Wallet: 😰😰
Do we know if the grips share a pattern with another gun, like the Colt SSS?
Can’t say for sure
is there any revolver that holds nine rounds and looks pretty
As far as I know only in .22 rimfire. There are several DA/SA 8 shot 357s.
Not that I know of
This will make a great “truck gun”!
What caliber has more kick, .357 or .45 Colt?
Depends on the load. Underwoods 45 colt +p is pretty nasty i hear. I'm gonna vote 357. Has more snap, 45lc has more push.
I say .357 but depends on the load
Thanks@@CarolinaEDCreviews
Thanks@@youngboyharless9769
.45 Colt can vary from fairly light cowboy action loads up to hot loads that are past the .44 Magnum.
Why do you shoot such a small pistol with both pants? I was shooting them with one hand when I was 15.
Trying to remember when the last time I watched a dude use two hands to fire a single action. Nope I think you're def the first.
😂😂😂😂😂
Lots of CAS competitors do.
Great video, Jesus loves you!!!!!!!😊
Thank you! You too!
Nothing inherently against Taurus but they should have put a set of wood grips on a cowboy styled six-shooter. Shame on them. I do think this revolver has promise if taken to a qualified gunsmith to tweak for cowboy action. I might would buy one to try but they need to offer case hardened with wood grips and take off that annoying engraving of Deputy.
Are you a Jacobs?
Not sure what you mean 🤷🏽♂️
You look and sound like some guys I worked with. They were from the Waccamaw tribe and their last name was Jacobs
No I’m Hispanic
Gotcha, my bad lol
They ruined it, it's got a firing pin installed. Not on the Hammer.
Just like Rugers Smith and Wessons and every other revolver made to modern standards. I like the looks of hammer mounted firing pins but the Italian saa copies are going to complicated lengths to make them comply with modern lawyer versions of safe.
