- I'm back baby!! A slow start to 2023, admittedly, but the AutoAmateur returns... this first video the kick off the new season is to introduce you to my new daily driver and the FIRST non-base Porsche model I've purchased...! Check out my new (to me) 958 Cayenne S - black on black with allllll the goodies. I preview of a few of the upcoming jobs I have in store for this car along with some discussion about what's to come over the next few months as summer arrives. Thanks for sticking with me! More 911 content and all things Porsche coming soon. Cheers!

Cheers!!
Best of the best 🤝🤝🤝
Welcome back James. Missed you. 😊
So kind!! Cheers mate. Thanks for sticking with me! :)
Just bought a 2015 Cayenne Diesel Platinum. It was a corporate vehicle so it had perfect maintenance every 5k miles and looks practically brand new at 86k miles. We live on a ranch in Texas with diesel trucks and wanted to go full diesel, so we sold my Jeep wrangler. Best decision ever! We are doing an overland build on it and chipped it, I’ll probably never sell it.
I need photos of this one!! 🙌😎
Good to see you back James, missed you. Hope your well.
Cheers Peter!!
NNNNOOOOOOOOOOO, Welcome back James 😊
Hahahahah. Thanks for the warm welcome, Trond! :-)
Good to see you back, James- do look us up if you are UK bound soon 👍

Cheers mate! Hope all is well with you!! Fly fishing season - GAME ON! :-)
Damn my laziness for not unsubscribing. 😂
I’ve also moved on from 991. To Macan turbo.
Good to have you back.
HA!! Well I'm glad you're still hanging out with me here. Macan Turbo... nice!!
Nice cayenne! I have the tractor (diesel) version
Cheers Vance!
So happy for you going back to a porsche suv 👍🏻 got my 2020 cayenne e hybrid (biscaya blue) in april with about 10k miles on the clock an I love that car - cant wait to see your mods ! I added the door lights that project the porsche crest and name to the floor - added govee led strips under the seats - next weekend my viofo 139pro dashcam - the only thing thats hard to find is an android auto adapter - most of them are garbage - do you have any suggestions? Greetings from Austria🇦🇹
Austria! I wish I could come over to hello to my family in Schladming! I'm not an Android person I'm afraid... I could give you lots of Apple related recommendations.
@@AutoAmateur schladming is about 2 hours from where I live… will give ottocast a try - it should support wireless android auto and wireless carplay - in the german porsche forum one said that it works with his 992 and pcm 5 - will give it a try…
I knew clock color change would be first…
Hahaha. Absolutely!!
163,000!!!!!!!!
Hahahaha. Yup, all GOLDEN miles. Golden.
Tinted taillight video now!
Hahahahahaha. THE PRESSURE!!
@@AutoAmateur damn skippy
what Apple Unit are you going to use? sorry didn't understand it in the video. Minute 2:40
I sell them on my website. It’s a JoyeAuto multimedia unit that connects to your PCM to give you wireless Apple CarPlay.

@@AutoAmateur How is the quality of audio? is it going to play with the same power? compatible with Bose system?
How much horsepower does one need to pick up the kids from school and make a trip to Costco?
More. Always more Garth.
I wish I were as brave as you to buy a car with 163k on the clock. Looks great!
It's the motor industries biggest scam - making you believe car's are unreliable after 75k or 100k miles - because they need to keep selling cars to a saturated market. Well maintained cars will run almost forever.
@@AutoAmateur Absolutely true! I bought a Tacoma with 292k on the clock and it now has 330k. Runs like new. In fact, it has been my experience that after about 60k, most things that were going to break have done so and it is smooth sailing for the next 100-150k or so.
@@AutoAmateur Fair point!! Great looking Cayenne, congrats.
