HI! I've been following your live performances and am truly inspired by your setup and music. As someone new to integrating analog gear for live performances, I'm reaching out to seek your expert guidance on setting up my equipment:
    Arturia Beatstep Pro
    Arturia DrumBrute Impact
    Arturia MiniFreak
    Teenage Engineering K.O! II EP-133
    Behringer Xenyx X1204USB
    Ableton Push 2
    Focusrite Scarlett 2i4
Could you please explain how to connect these instruments to each other effectively for a live setup? Specifically, I'm curious about audio and MIDI connections, whether I should use clock sync, and if this setup is optimal for house music or if you recommend other devices.
Your insights would be immensely helpful in guiding my setup. Thank you for considering my request.

Hi ! I'm glad if I can inspire you !
I'm not using ableton so I can't help you with this.
About the audio chain it's simple : every instrument goes to the mixer. The output of the mixer goes into the focusrite.
About the sync I'm using midi and the drum machine is the master. Then a "midi quadra thru 4" multiplies the signal for the Minifreak, the Beatstep pro... (in the midi input)
At the end the Beatstep pro can send midi to some other synths.
I'm not using samples (I tried but...), I hope you enjoy the Teenage Engineering.
I hope it can help you.
      Bye !

Great jam! Are you doing any specific processing on your Kick? First time I am impressed with the kick of the DB Impact. The SE-02 still sound amazing!

    • @bazarmaniacmusic
      @bazarmaniacmusic  5 месяцев назад +2

      Thanks for your comment !
About the kick it's only the DB Impact, no eq, no compressor. I agree it's great !
      And the SE-02 too !

Ey man! Epic! I want to start making this kind of music with this sort of gear but I have no clue where to start? Like how do all your devices sync to the same beat? I would really want multiple synths to work together and be able to loop.. but what gear is good for that? Could you recommend me a website or something to start gathering info? Or could you recommend specific gear or essential specs? I would also love to use microphones, fx and be able to loop samples etc. But I dont want to use a computer or laptop or something.. just stand alone devices. Thanks in advance! Again, epic stuff, well done

Thank you for your message, I'm glad if you like my music !
It's very easy to dync those machines, I'm using midi cables. The drum machine is the master. It's very easy to play : the internal sequencer loop and all the drum machines (even small) got a midi out port. And all the synths got midi in port. I'm using a sequencer (arturia beatstep pro) for bass synth (roland se-02) and lead (korg volca keys) but many synths got internal sequencer (that loop until you stop it). So you can try a little drummachine and a synth for the beginning. And the user manuals are your friends 😉
And for more than one synth I'm using a " midi quadra thru" : a small multiplier for midi signals.
      Hope you will try !!

@ralphvanwesten1999 if I was in your situation I would start with a Roland t8 hands down. Then it depends on the direction, but a Roland S1 would also be a firm 2nd step.

It's a behringer Xenyx 1202, it's very simple and cheap but it works. It has a send and return for an external effect, that's cool for the reverb.
