Tory’s vocal is always amazing
This is so good, thank you Ariel and thank you SonicScoop for taking the time to make this video and upload, love and support!
after watching this i cant stop lisening to this record
This track is great from the very start! So the mix process is much easier!
17:15 Yo when he played the reference side by side with his mix I almost fell out of my chair. Guess that's why they pay em the big bucks
Frrrrr
hahah realtalk dude😅
wow, the voice & bass sound fantastic...
All I have to say is Ariel is great! So many different ideas that we can try and experiment with.
The tip on listening close while in mono and you can hear where you have overlapping frequencies is probably the best morsel of information within this workshop. That is if you didn't already know to make sure your mix sounds good in mono.
Tory Lanez does everything with vocal effects, its just the way he records his tracks.. Genius with his recording process!
13:00 Yo, Ariel! We're have something up our sleeves that's going to eradicate this issue once and for all!
Oh yeah???? :)
Oh yeah!
Does anybody clip mixes on a master channel? for example +3db? Like it adds a lot of volume and sometimes it's even better, more aggressive and stuff, RIGHT?:)))
@@eugeneeugene2511 careful, its not a console.
@@SoundIDCreators :D its like you guys are friends and are letting me into your circle, somehow respecting your opinions for a moment, not seeing that your identities are brands and this dialog was advertising. how much did you guys pay for the plug? cause mixers like this guy always have an actual engineer somewhere keeping things...sane.
Sounds way better than their mix. Thank you for a great video.
Great words from Ariel - Great Masterclass
I really wanted see the process for vocals. Thank you for sharing
Yes this guy is amazing !

I get your humility with considering the artist. Respect makes things work so well on both parts, the artist and the person doing the mastering. When I got my first cd done I did not know ANYTHING. But the person doing the Mastering asked me several questions. Now, I know what to ask for and tell him or her. Its a story that wants to be told. If I don't know the story how can the Mastering person get it done. Thank you for your talent.
LOVE.
Thanks for this i lear a lot good stuff like
35:20 Saturation is key in the digital realm
i learnt the hard and longgg way
sweet!
He's dope!
The best video!
I thought this was great. Thank you.
Jewels on the low like an anklet
This track count made me remember how much I like the Selected Ambient Works II.
what did you mean with this comment I don't get what you're trying to say
@@MrPianoMatt12 he doesn't know neither
One big Izotope Ad!!!
Not really though 🤣 If that's all you got out of this, you probably didn't watch most of it, right?
Your trippin' out broham, do you know how many gems Ariel dropped in this....??? Your definitely not of the craft or you would've appreciated every moment of this gold right here.....-__-
This was great to watch!
0:50 I guess having so much money finally got him to the point for doing what he really loves, Bezos is a cool guy, glasses make him kinda geeky tho
Someone should have told the guy in charge of the headset, that a crown mic needs some tape to attach it to the face properly
So good. And all this info available for free?! Thanks, always SonicScoop. One thing...I wonder how many ITB engineers really think of using stuff like Dangerous Music 2 Bus +
times have changed, looks like we lost touch with reference when we lost radio and records. this sounds like garbage to me. i even got the track before writing this. but no one knows anymore, theres no standards. nothing to compare to. even alot of audiophile hifi can make the worst records sound great to an ear that isnt listen to older mediums or visiting concert halls regularly, as every engineer should. regularly. and wear ear guards! fuckin dont slack way off like this guy and ignore detail in favor of a faster work flow and industry props. remain vigil! gaurd the sound! theres more freedom in our times and a lot of the stuff we love lately wouldnt have happend otherwise but this sounds like 90% of the stuff making big out there. its the image, not the craft thats selling....youre going to have to choose. why are you doing this? do you have a choice in the matter? if you do, go fkin buy some slate shit you creep or get back to your sales job! you shoulda picked golf for a hobby.
@@stuff4826 You ok dude?
@@stuff4826 wtf are you talking about
@@MrPianoMatt12 things you cant see
@@madscience8082 fine, just putting things in their place.
you should bring SOPHIE.
Fuck. That would rock my world
TWONIE is here
We work kinda similar, always cool to see. Nice one!
i bought into pro tools at version 8 when we had to get digi hardware with it , and back then it was pretty good , but today , i would really hate to be stuck in pro tools ... yikes .. but cheers .. to eaches own , all food cant be lobster ... cheers .
When you add audio Interface to your process what category does it fall under..? Still "In the Box" m
Kaif i miss you
ooh, limiter on the monitor fx?
Does this guy work for izotope ...he’s doing an add the entire session
Anybody notice how out of tune the 808 was? Maybe my speakers are out of tune. Idk
What ? 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
that's Tory Lanez
50-60% while he is mixing is in mono
someone should tell this guy the bandwidth does nothing with low band in pultec
Why is the volume always clipping in these professional mixing sessions??
There you have the people mixing tracks for kids.
@@neurobits you're fucking stupid
I watched a few of these vids. Basically its all about over processing and facelifting. Thats everything sounds the same. Sterile quantised and over polished. Especially this example + plus the "deep" lyrics.
This producer has a horrible tone to his voice. My ears deserve better. I love SonicScoop!
Hi did critizised people using a lot of plugins? and not keeping a mix simple? he's not mastering?
My gosh, always but especially sundays don't llike politicians.
Dude shut the hell up
Put the warmth back into music ? There's nothing warm about pump action compression and robot vocals...and where are the instruments ? Cyborg me man...sheesh. There is nothing clever or artistic about catering to youths poor taste, it just adds to the pollution.
Gone Away look up the definition of warm
wow your words were so insightful I now hate all the music I like. Thanks old bro you've changed my life
And clearly you haven't mixed shit..lol
The literal process of putting warmth and body is compression lol
Ben Luke done that m8. All of the definitions I looked at, and I looked at 4, Collins, Merriam Webster, Cambridge, Oxford, referred to warmth in context of thermal measurement or human emotion. Thus we can conclude, as we all already knew anyway, that in the world of us audio nerds, that the word “warmth”, has no exact definition, and it’s interpretation is somewhat subjective.
Great engineer. Terrible teacher.
