What is most shocking is that she seems to be proud of this, instead of giving the dog to a vet or, I think, to a dog trainer! She Killed a goat after that,with no reason and full of hate, she seems to enjoy shooting animals.
Yes, the dog she had was a hunting dog and it has good instincts for hunting. However, Kristi forgot that the dog requires training to get good at it. They aren't born with the knowledge of how to hunt. She FAILED at training her dog and ended its life because of her failure.
This is a monster pure and simple!
She put it in her book because she wanted to show she was tough that could make tough decisions. How does shooting a defenseless puppy, compare to dealing with ruthless dictators. I think she is misreading the American people.
Her career is now over.
Even with hardcore Trump supporters.

In the book she says she killed the dog because it wouldnt learn to be a hunting dog. She could have given that dog to any rescue or shelter instead of just murdering it. Most people dont treat their dogs like employees, they treat them like family. Comparing her horses is garbage, too. Big difference between putting down a sick or dying old animal and killing your young dog because he couldnt perform the tricks you wanted. Monster.

She didnt even try. One freaking tweet. Shes a rich politician with influence. One tweet and THOUSANDS of people would've offered help. Professionals veterinarians trainers rescues etc.

Yes it's a crime in most states. She may be guilty of a second offense for trying to kill a goat but it didn't die the first time she shot it. In fact it walked out of the gravel pit where she shot it so she took it back into the gravel pit where she shot it again and it died.

Most people who can't handle or don't like their dog give it away to someone or to a shelter. They don't go and kill it. That isn't admirable no matter what Governor Noem thinks.
Might be a good Governor but not coming anywhere near the VP spot or over our house for anything.

Pets get puts down if they are old, in pain, or very ill. Usually that is humanely carried out by a vet, not someone shooting them.

I was under the impression that most Amercians no matter their politcial persuasion are dog lovers. She could have re homed the dog, or tried to train it. Shooting it is pretty heartless, if she had it humanely putting down by a Vet a little better. Not much, this was a puppy, she didn't give it a chance.
Thankfully DJT threw her off of his short list of VPs for this story.
