I was diagnosed with fibroids and faced limited options besides medication too. Instead of accepting the standard treatment, I took control of my journey. I changed my diet eating fruits and vegetables only I included turmeric based teas that were decaf and good for female hormones, I focused on my spiritual and emotional energy for 90 days. When I returned for a hormone test the fibroid was gone, and my hormone levels were excellent! Healthy foods definitely influence your health!
I’m taking notes for additional information. Thank you so much for helping suffering women like myself. I recently found DIM, sulphoraphane, calcium d glucorate, NAC and DAO. These have changed my life. I couldn’t live or work or eat before taking these. I was anemic every month and trying to play catch up, my entire menstrual life was hell. Research can be an Absolute miracle when the information is findable. So thank you again. A whole food diet didn’t help me unfortunately, I had to go keto every month at the worst time-but I’d still be in so much pain and mentally so depressed I didn’t feel like myself. The dangers of medications weren’t worth it so I decided to continue my (10+ years of) research.

Im so grateful for RUclips and all the doctors who are sharing well researched information with us free of charge…because based on my provider food doesn’t play any role and fibroids can only be removed surgically even if they are tiny.. welp.. thank you so much for putting this out!
Thank you so much for explaining about red meat! Every time I look for fibroids foods and health they add re meat as bad. My cousin had a really bad case of fibroids and was a vegan and my mom, who had a hysterectomy, hardly ever ate meat. I do eat meat and I do have fibroids but they are asymptomatic. I had a bad diet and went through stress when younger so I blame that plus genes. Real grass fed meat I think is good but is sad to see the just “red meat” in general being demonized
Agreed!!! Also if you haven't yet, check out my Fibroids Playlist to see the video on supplements that have been shown to help with Fibroids, and what else works for a holistic approach!
I changed to a plant-based diet when I became vegan. I was vegetarian before so a lot of dairy and eggs. When I gave up the dairy and eggs my periods became lighter, no stomach cramps, no. Breast tenderness, no brain fog. Milk is full of hormones so probably more important to eliminate from the diet than meat. But I eliminated meat dairy and eggs for ethical reasons. Things improved for me when I started to eat more whole foods and eliminated sugar.
Thank you for your videos! Re flax - can it be flax that is already milled when purchased? Or do you recommend buying the whole seeds and soaking and grinding yourself? (That would be a totally new process for me.) Anything I can do that makes this easier will be helpful so I am hoping the milled flax is okay...but I don't want to think I'm giving my body what it needs when I'm not. I do put flax into some of my food, but it's always been ground when I purchased it. Thanks again!
Hi! I’d recommend buying whole for sure 👍 to avoid rancid seeds. An option is to soak whole overnight and use next day as usual I’d grind first then soak. Hope this helps!
Happy Sunday Dr Patricia. I would really like to know how you prepare your flaxseed. I remember you said you soak them but I think it was in the context of sprouting nuts, not flaxseed. There are many information on YT on how best to eat flaxseed. Some say just pulse it in the food processor for short while, some say to release the nutrients, need to lightly toast them on a pan before pulsing them. What is your method? Lastly, do you keep the flaxseed in room temperature or in the fridge? Thank you!
Hi! Personally I grind them in a coffee grinder (which I just use for my seeds) and then put them into liquid and let them sit for a few hours to neutralize the anti-nutrients through the germination process. For example, I'll put them into crushed berries and let them soak in the berry juice - they cause the berry mix to get thicker like a jam. Or I'll soak them in water the night before and add them to my oatmeal, etc. the next day. What I do not use immediately I throw away as they get rancid very quickly if not soaked or eaten. I hope this helps!
@@dr.patriciamills I've never come across this soaking concept. I might try it but it means i have to remember to soak it overnight everyday. Can I soak it overnight in the fridge? I live in a hot and humid climate and am worried. Thank u!
I can never get a CLEAR answer from ANYONE on this: Does CAFFEINE in coffee, espresso, black tea, soft drinks like Mountain Dew etc INCREASE the size of fibroids (I have a 10.7 cm transmural fibroid)? I have asked dozens of researchers and doctors and all I get is garbage and contradictory answers. Please let me know what you think. Thanks!
Hi! I found a study summarizing the research on caffeine and fibroids: www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC7908561/. There are also genetic differences determining how caffeine is metabolized so it may be an issue for some and not others, hence the lack of conclusive results 👍
Cold pressed juice also has a ton of sugar, we metabolize fructose and sucrose the same also juice has the fiber taken out so you get a much higher glucose spike. This creates all kinds of hormonal imbalances. @@Laurennohill

@@alwaysright5901 I did not come across that being an issue if you're using a whole egg or the white or yolk. I'm not a big fan of protein powders - highly refined protein can cause insulin to spike very high and that could theoretically cause issues with insulin resistance over time which could aggravate hormone related conditions like fibroids ;)
Depends on the added ingredients - ok to have magnesium chloride and calcium carbonate, other additives beyond the soy, water and fermentation product not ideal.
No it is not true - soy phytoestrogens have a selective estrogen effect - they activate the good receptors for estrogen and not the bad ones. So there is NO concer with eating soy phytoestrogen when it comes to things like breast cancer, uterine cancer, etc. Hope this helps!
