I saw the title and thought "here we go". I watched the video and found a well balanced, calm, honest review about a product that may not be for everyone.
For me they were worth every penny. I can wear them all day walking around the hospital, hear my surroundings, talk to coworkers (they can’t hear my music). I use noise cancelling for my bus commute, but the Open buds are on all day at work so I definitely feel like I’m getting my money’s worth out of them.
Same here! This is common sense btw. Hat-tip. They are extremely comfortable --- I forget that I have them on! The sound is absolutely amazing. I do chores around the house and can listen to my podcasts etc. Amazing product .
I bought these because I have an ear full of piercings, including a tragus, daith and industrial and they fit nicely without hurting my ear, they are aesthetically pleasing
They are great. You can wear them while cycling (illegal to ride with ears blocked). They are great for work, since you can hear people come up to you. They are comfortable since they don’t shove into your ear. The sound is great, but of course no noise canceling since your ears are not blocked. If your only quibble is the price, that’s a decision each of us has to make.
Well the “only quibble” is the thing that matters most. It represents that the company understands the value of their product and tells how much they do/don’t value their customer. It’s a ridiculous price point for an open ear concept. Pretentious.
Disagree. I would rather wear these than the similarly priced AirPods Pro 2nd Gen. Besides, if you haven’t tried these, perhaps you should before reviewing them.
Lucky you. In France, it's illegal to have anything in your ears while riding something, period. Doesn't matter if this is open or even bone conduction...
@@bid0u12345 These are not “in” your ears, I don’t know how France would deal with them. There are also Bose Sunglasses that work the same way, I doubt France would consider them illegal while cycling.
I have tried these and they are extremely comfortable. You can't feel them in your ears; and the sound was surprisingly good for an open style earbud. Very good. And being able to get music to sound good without having to endlessly fiddle with the fit, like other earbuds, is definitely, definitely convenient. Earbuds of any type that cost more than $300 can't justify that price, sound wise. The amount of control you can exercise directly from the earbud without having to go to the app is definitely a plus. I feel that these are $300. because people who like Bose will pay that money. And the product is definitely attractive, even if you don't like the company. The price of these will drop down as soon as they come up with another iteration of the open earbud and after they've been out for a while. If these cost $250, I don't believe anyone would blink.
I have Tinnitus which is highly annoying, tried these to see if it would help. Wearing AirPods or any other earbuds or headphones is not an option, after a couple of hours they make my ears hurt! These are perfect for me, I wear them all day! Sometimes when I’ve turned off the music, radio, podcast whatever, I forget to take them off, I’m so unaware of them. I also wear glasses so other makes were not an option. Are they expensive? Yes, but for me worth every penny! Firmware upgrades are supposed to be coming, so hopefully Bose will make them even more desirable!
I have been using these earbuds for 3 days and they sound great for a non-noise cancelling pair of buds. I do not feel them in my ears so if you like listening to your tunes for long periods of time you will enjoy them. I f you can have two pairs of earbuds, one noise cancelling and these then you are fully set.
I think they are great and by no means do I think they came up short. I have both the in ear Bose Ultra Quietcomfort and the Open ear, I love them both. I have tried other open earbuds and these by FAR blow away the others I have tried. I tried at least 5 other high end open earbuds and they did come up short. The Bose Open Ear hit the mark perfectly for me and maybe a little expensive but I rather pay the $300 than pay $175 for another brand that suck. If I want noise cancelling and very quiet I use the in ear Bose, if I want to hear my surroundings which is the majority of the time the Bose Open Ear are great. Yes as I said maybe a little expensive but for what they give me I dont mind paying the $300 but Im sure others would mind. These are really nice open ear buds if you’re looking for open ear. And I would like to add these are the most comfortable earbuds I have EVER used either in ear or open ear. These are almost too comfortable because I honestly forget they are in my ears.
@@sunrisetacticalgear2676 yeah, good idea, I hope its worth the wait. They really are nice for open ear buds. I wish they Included the wireless charging. I spent another $50 on the wireless charging case. Yes, it is expensive but I have many reasons for wanting the earbuds from Bose and they are very comfortable. But you need to be very careful. They are so comfortable if one gets knocked out of your ear by your seatbelt or something you don’t even realize it came off so be careful if you get them.
Thank you, just what I needed to feel good about buying these! I hate headphones in my ears, and sound is good and all but I just want something comfortable and if I need "more" music or sound I have other over the head headphones that work as well, but not with glasses which is why I also like these
There are a lot of good points here. One thing people miss is that they are glasses friendly. I've tried over the ear styles before, but they just hurt after a while with my glasses on, its one of the reasons I've stuck to a horseshoe desighn for a long time now. These will probably be my next pick-up even with the negatives, so I'll post back here in half a year on my thoughts.
These are perfect especially if you don’t like something shoved in your ear and are very comfortable. I would give the audio 7/10 with little to no base.
I just bought these yesrerday and i will say they shouldnt be 300.00. One thing that is big is the placement of the earbuds. If you place them in the lower part of your ear, you will definitely have a fuller sound and the call quality will be better for the person you are talking to, because the placements of the mic. The more I use these the more I'm liking them. I have quite a few open earbuds from the Tozo's, 1more, Soundpeats, and the Shokz. I do like the Shokz the best, but the Bose do sound good, if you place them in the lower part of your ear and they are very comfortable. They are supposed to be getting multipoint in a future update, but for now you can set a shortcut to switch to multiple devices.
I agree on the price, but I'm sure it will come down soon after launch. I bought them for the way they sit in your ears. I am a big fan of the open style (I can't keep anything IN my ear for long periods) and have two pairs of oladance (home and work) for that reason. However, the oladance can sometimes be a chore to wear when I have on glasses. For me, that is the problem these solve. I'll probably keep using my oladance when I put in contacts but on glasses days these are it.

I was almost excited when I saw an ad for them since my ear is shaped perfectly so that literally every EarPod just falls out no matter what I do but paying $300 for it is insane for what has to be like 15 dollars of materials
My use case really appreciates these ear buds. I don’t like people around me at home being able to hear what I’m watching and these make me feel like I have a decent surround sound system with me. While I don’t expect a full range of sound, using these for casual use with no wearing fatigue is bang for my buck. One caveat is I’d almost wear them in the shower because I’m so used to wearing them now.
They are expensive for sure, but the fit and comfort of these cannot be understated. Over the ear units fall off, and need to be adjusted regularly and these stay put and cause zero pain. That alone is worth the money to me.
One of the best reviews I have ever viewed, going to pick up a pair tomorrow at Best Buy. Return policy so no commitment. I am not really into open ear buds, I do have the first ever AirPods released and haven’t bought any since and don’t use them a lot since I got their noise cancelling Pro afterwards. Very comfortable, and great for all-day use, I wear these much more than I ever have my AirPod 3s. The start of your video suggested it was going to be a hit piece, but I persisted and was pleasantly surprised that your review was fair. I think you undersold the sound quality tho, the quality of sound is leagues beyond any other open ear earphones I’ve tried due to the projection system they use. Bass isn’t brilliant, but it never is with earphones. I also find that the immersive audio is a considerable improvement over the stereo setting.
These are the best earbuds/headphones I have ever owned… imo these put AirPods to shame… I put them on when I get up and take them off before I sleep. Walk, jump, run, lay down straight, eat, talk, tilt your head… they won’t come off. Sounds quality is amazing.. bass is enough. The perfect position is near the bottom of the earlobe pointing to the ear canal.. minimal audio bleed and clear rich music… Bose did a fabulous job with one…
I'd like to say that even though you tell me these are too expensive and you don't understand the purpose, the very next segment where you explain their fit and how they work in your exercise is literally the reason I want these. Thanks for making this video and being honest.
Bose got really cool and innovative design. But quality hasn't been the same in years. When I purchased my first Bose SoundLink a loooong time ago, quality was superb (some 20 years back) when I went to go buy the same Bose SoundLink about 5 years back the speaker was horrible in quality. I know they outsource for cheaper in labor but they should have at least stocked with their excellent quality. I feel like they try but are only floating with their products. I'm glad you made this preview because I was looking for some earbuds that I could hear around me while I'm listening to music. In a kitchen if someone has both earbuds in their ear and someone is calling them it obviously would cause an accident that's why most people would put one earbud on their ear. This seems to be a waste of money because you mention the quality of the sound. Yeah definitely still not buying until their quality gets better.
I normally use the Apple AirPods, but do to me having earring lost in one of my ears, I now have to wear an earring aid. So now can wear my AirPods, and I’ve been looking at these headphones, but having lots of mixed signals so now I’m unsure what to do. Thank for your review.
I have bose qc 30, qc 35 ii, qc earbuds ii, and this open ear pair. Would say this is the least worthy one, since it's over priced. Not sure whether I would keep it as paying $300 for a pair without nc, with terrible connection, with buzzing noise. But it looks super cool, and feel good especially for someone like me having otitis media
I like my airpods pro, they fit my ear perfectly, the issue is I tend to fidget with them and take them in and out of my ear. I hate the pressurized feeling of having something in my ear, even with transparency mode on. This clip design is the perfect compromise. I can listen to something while sacrificing sound quality for comfort.
Great video! I have been rocking Bose frames glasses for I don’t know how long….until now! Altos and sopranos, i have my prescription lenses in them and I have to say Bose has a great warranty program that has been replacing my glasses until now. They have discontinued the glasses and they’ve offered me THESE as a warranty replacement. I should be receiving them any from Bose in the day now. I am gutted they stopped making the glasses, I like listening to music allot and like to able to talk to my crane operator as well as hear what’s going on around me so these should be pretty groovy! I think you’re right though I don’t wanna pay no CAD$400 for it. I’d pay a hun
Very well spoken. Whether people agree or don't agree. You made your points fair and logical. I feel you on the price aspect. I wull probably wait for them to drop into the low $200 range before I buy them. Wirh my luck, they will probably just stop making them 😮
I love them, love the design, love the fact nothing is stuck in me ears, when I’m sweating during my workout the sweat doesn’t puddle up on the buds. Disclaimer, I did get them for $249 instead of the $300 on the website. Even if though, what brand new ear buds don’t cost that from a high end brand.
A balanced and informative review, I was out looking for one of these open earbuds and thank your for helping me to make up my mind, I think I know which one to go for....
I am a Bose fan, but wouldn't pay more than $200 for these. The aware mode works well on the quietcomfort ultra earbuds. But, drop to $200 and I'll use these for workouts/running.
I recently purchased these ear buds and I do really like them, but I do have hearing issues(wear hearing aides at 54 yrs old) With that being said, I don't think these ear buds are for me. At 100% volume, I can hear the music well. But if I am doing or being around noise, it completely ruins the vibe. I have covered my ears while these are in or on my ears, and it sounds great. With that being said, which earbuds would you recommend for someone hearing impaired? Thank you in advance!
Instagram has been heavy handed in their marketing of these earbuds to me, and I won't lie, the design looked cool. I was thinking about using them at work for my ASMR youtubers, but maybe I'll look for something else. Your review hit every point I needed to hear before purchasing these. Maybe with v2 or 3 the microphone might be better. I'll wait till the next version.
from a cyclist perspective i think they're really interesting ,especially while wearing glases and stuff the way they attach to the ear is nice .Not sure tho if the sound would be sufficient while having winds and riding speeds from like 20mph
I have Bose quiet comfort buds, they are excellent and they have transparent mode which turns off noise cancelation and amplifies surrounding sounds to mimic open style, if price comes down I may look at these as I prefer nothing in my ear.
I will definitely be watching more of your reviews... That was probably the most well explained review I've ever listened to and I absolutely agree it's definitely not worth the price!!!... All you're paying for is style! Thank you for this review because I was going to consider a pair after listening to this I definitely definitely will not be getting a pair too pricey for no reason
Thanks for a great objective review! I've purchased many Bose speakers and headphones over the years and am frankly disappointed with their quality of late, especially given the price. Guess I'll keep looking.
I think these may be a pair for me in the future based on the way the earbuds stay around the ear. I like the earbuds that I have, but after a while of having them stay in my ear, they start to hurt, and then I get a headache afterward, so these possibly my next pair.
Im the same I am not sure they are an improvement on the other ear buds, mine feel like they dont fit to me. not as loud in the ear either. They do look good and fairly sturdy, used on treadmills whilst running and walking its just the fit to me.
TWS sport earbuds from Walmart and online elsewhere. They rival the expensive ones without all the manufacturers hype. I have the sport behind the ear TWS $30.00 at Walmart about 4 years ago. Still going strong, no issues, connect fast. Keep in mind, all the earbuds are disposable after the batteries die. They fill the landfill.
Respect! I like the design that’s why I copped them right away. Once I get stateside and can get them in ear I’ll leave another comment. End of the day people buy what they like and if they happy that’s what matters.
These are perfect for poker players, not having to remove/put back earbuds or remove headphones all evening long is huge. One click I can hear everything, and one click Ihe music is back. Never have to move them all night long and cant feel them on at all.
I’m surprised to hear you criticize the sound quality so much. I find the sound stage to be much better on these than any other pair of buds I’ve tried and there’s a certain quality to the open sound that I enjoy. You’re probably right that the bass could be stronger though.
Crazy these are more than the quiet comfort ultra! Maybe they are diamond studded? The design is unique and fun to see change. Love me, my Sony's, though. Thanks for another awesome review!
Not two things... three things NC, Sound Quality and comfort It looks like very comfortable but Im not sure the looks for man. But when apple earpods came out, it was wired look too
When you're a father/husband, you can't use regular earbuds that block out ambient noise/sound. When the wife calls you from upstairs, you had better answer :) I have the Bose Sport Open ear and love them. But I don't think the newer ones are worth the money.
The thing is Samsung and other brands like Anker cound come up with the same design but are those branded names worth 300$. Bose is in a category on it own far ahead of the competition as always.
Are you paying for the brand name or the performance? These days the two don't necessarily go hand in hand. I own multiple Bose bluetooth products And they sound great, but they literally have the most connection issues Compared to any other brand i've used.

Soundcore comes with a controll app with mapable buttons, equalizer, and water proof for 1/3rd of the price🤙 they are great.
Which ones are the best open earphones
Always like your reviews, short , direct and honest.
These buds are very similar to bose frames but with speakers closer to the ear
Thank you!
Wirh my luck, they will probably just stop making them 😮
This are for quiet places or walking alone in street
I love them, love the design, love the fact nothing is stuck in me ears, when I’m sweating during my workout the sweat doesn’t puddle up on the buds. Disclaimer, I did get them for $249 instead of the $300 on the website. Even if though, what brand new ear buds don’t cost that from a high end brand.
This is the review that I’ve been looking for.
A balanced and informative review, I was out looking for one of these open earbuds and thank your for helping me to make up my mind, I think I know which one to go for....
Biggest thing, how is the call quality and pairing strength? If the mic isn’t good it’s a solid pass
I am a Bose fan, but wouldn't pay more than $200 for these. The aware mode works well on the quietcomfort ultra earbuds. But, drop to $200 and I'll use these for workouts/running.
200 makes alot more sense. No reason these should be priced higher than the QC ultra earbuds.
@@CEONTHEMAKINGconsidering the Tozo open buds are $50. They rock
I have hearing issues with my phone calls. The other person can’t hear me and it’s annoying and frustrating!
This was my biggest worry
In your opinion, what are the best sounding open style bone conduction earphones? Good review btw.
from a cyclist perspective i think they're really interesting ,especially while wearing glases and stuff the way they attach to the ear is nice .Not sure tho if the sound would be sufficient while having winds and riding speeds from like 20mph
Love the honesty in this review. Thank you
I have Bose quiet comfort buds, they are excellent and they have transparent mode which turns off noise cancelation and amplifies surrounding sounds to mimic open style, if price comes down I may look at these as I prefer nothing in my ear.
How do these compare to the huawei free clips ?
Thanks for a great objective review! I've purchased many Bose speakers and headphones over the years and am frankly disappointed with their quality of late, especially given the price. Guess I'll keep looking.
Maybe the best reviewer on RUclips. Great job man super good presentation sound and information.
I think these may be a pair for me in the future based on the way the earbuds stay around the ear. I like the earbuds that I have, but after a while of having them stay in my ear, they start to hurt, and then I get a headache afterward, so these possibly my next pair.
Great review, thank you
This is perfect, I’ve been loving the QCultras, but like to have awareness at the gym and outside. Thanks for telling me these exist! 👍
Very balanced and nice explanation! I really appreciate your opinion!! Thank you
Nice video brotha!!
Please test out the new Sennheiser Momentum TWS 4 and compare them to the 3s'?
Thank you.
Yes I plan to
Im the same I am not sure they are an improvement on the other ear buds, mine feel like they dont fit to me. not as loud in the ear either. They do look good and fairly sturdy, used on treadmills whilst running and walking its just the fit to me.
I miss your review… and opinion I wait for a wild you make the review AFTER I BUY IT !!! Thanks 🙏
Bullshit, Walmart boy 😂😂

Walmart Poor Boy..😄👍😎

've never worn open earbuds like this, but they look great. forme it is too expensive
I’m interested and like the style but not for $300 crazy and it’s not even wireless charging TF
just bought one.. hope Bose bring back wired earphones. I hate to charge..!
I returned the Bose for the Soundcore 30i better all around, plus only $70 and they have multipoint connectivity
Do they leak sound?
its designed to repicate a feeling of listening to a stereo system but almost in ear ! 🎉
Respect! I like the design that’s why I copped them right away. Once I get stateside and can get them in ear I’ll leave another comment. End of the day people buy what they like and if they happy that’s what matters.
Facts!
Idk the jury is still out . I like the design but no one’s really talking enthusiastically about sound quality only the design
Thanks for sharing, looking for some ear buds that’s comfortable and won’t fall out …..
can you make a video of jabra elite 10, i have small ears like you, i want to know the fit and secure❤
Tried xm5? Because I am confused which one to go for..and how is bass? And over all sound quality
They are great but not 300 more like 120 at most
I have a similar impression. +/- 150 USD are perfectly enough given that they don't offer any special technology.
Are these good for running ?
I tried this in a store and for some reason I heard some high frequency hissing noises but my Dad who also tried the same pair didn't heard it
I would really love to watch their comparison with the Samsung Live Buds which cost around 80$
Crazy these are more than the quiet comfort ultra! Maybe they are diamond studded? The design is unique and fun to see change. Love me, my Sony's, though. Thanks for another awesome review!
Right?? in what world does it make sense for these to cost more than the QC ultra?
they are FASHION
So which open earbuds have the most bass and richness in sound quality in your opinion
1more Fit S50, they're kindve a hybrid style. After that the Soundcore Aerofit Pro.
I’ve tried several, and these buds from Bose are amazing.
Use to be a big fan of bose. Not anymore their quality went down hill really bad with the NC700s. They can't write software.
Thanks for this video man!
Not two things... three things
NC, Sound Quality and comfort
It looks like very comfortable but Im not sure the looks for man.
@@CEONTHEMAKING People would pay more for more premium brands. Its like saying if Toyota made a sports car that costs the same as a Ferrari, people would still opt for the Ferrari since its already established as a premium brand.
Thank you very much!
I love this design!
Regular buds never fit right …
I’ma Afterpay it 😅
Looking for an earbud that will stay while on long runs. I get really sweaty and my airpod pros slip out of my ear. Would you recommend these, or beats fit pro?
10km-20km length runs
you have to do the audio microphone test in noizy environments. along roads cycling at high speed.
PLEASE review soundcore C30i
I’m sure you’d be pleased plus I wanna know your opinion
Well said, my friend. Thank you.
Love the refreshing honesty in your review ☺️ Subscribed, please keep doing what you do !
Thank You!
No probs.🙄
My Apple Airpods work well but they are iritating my ears. I've tried a few open ear products and I dont like the sound or the fit.
A few days ago I bought some Bose Open Ultra and I have a small problem with them. When starting a sound, a sound like "ssssss" is heard in the background and when the sound ends it continues for a few seconds until it turns off completely
The design is interesting but, like you say, the price is the problem.
What are the other open style earbuds you recommend?
I really like the 1more Fit Open S50. It's kind've a hybrid style earbud.
Out of all of the earbuds out there I love Bose the most everybody ears are different and trust me I try them all sorry
$300 is crazy! But that design is tuff too!😭. If they were like $150 then I would probably buy em
Facts
@ceonthemaking WHICH OPEN EAR BUDS OFFER BETTER SOUND THAT THESE bose ultra? That hold a similar design?
These are the only ones ive tried with this specific design
Both ear buds were charged to 100%. I took them out and listened to music for sometime. The battery on the left went down to 90% while right showed 70%. After some more listening, the right went down to 50% while left was at 70%. Any one experiencing this?
