    Hello,
New subscriber here. I’m a Kindle guy and have loved having a Kindle for the past two years. I just upgraded to the Kindle Signature due to sale and trade in of old kindle.
My eyes aren’t what they used to be so I had to borrow books from the library mostly in Large Print. Zooming the font size up just like you Morgan is a Godsend!
Since my family moves every few years I’ve switched to 100% kindle reading. Whether through Libby, Amazon sales or purchases plus KU,I’ve got so many books I can read.
Currently I’m reading Unforgettable Secret (Amish Secrets Book 1) for my bookclub. Just started but so far so good.

I am currently reading The Specter by J Bree. I love reading on my phone. I have the Kindle app. I use Kindle Unlimited, Audible, Libby, Hoopla, Overdrive (before it was discontinued). I agree with you. I used to carry a physical book everywhere I went. The problem with that is you can only read one book at a time. You also need a decent amount of light. That can be hard on your eyes. Reading on my phone means I can read multiple books, at any location. Kindle, Audible, Hoopla don't have the wait times like you have with the library (Libby). Also, changing the fonts, light, etc is really helpful. I also tend to listen to audiobooks and podcasts. I have a subscription to Spotify and just realized that they have a lot of audiobooks on there free for a premium users. This means that I can listen to the book right away (Audible as well) without the library wait times. Thank you for this video. It is really great to introduce new users to these awesome services. 😊❤📚

Just stumbled on this video! I have had a kindle about 10 years!
I remember I was very anti ereader but was gifted it for Christmas and wow life changing!! I have an old kindle keyboard and a paperwhite(very old version) and I do have a kindle fire too. I have thought about getting a newer e-ink kindle with the new amber color lights but I do have a little clip on light that is in that amber color. I did buy the page clicker remote thing a few months ago - its awesome! I love that I can increase the font size very BIG for my terrible vision when I don't want to be squinting like I do sometimes when I read a physical book. Thinking about gifting myself the gooseneck kindle/tablet holder soon to upgrade my reading life another level!
If the ebook is on heavy discount and so is the audiobook I like to double dip and do the whispersinc on my kindle fire where I can just let it play for me and turn the pages on its own. I read Dune like that a few months ago and LOVED it!
I've also been curious about the reading experience on a Kobo ereader. And they just put out a new version. Looks NICE!

Hi Morgan... Yes, I completely agree with the motivational factor for reading on the Kindle. Seeing there are only a few minutes remaining to complete a chapter makes me want to continue reading to reach the end. Or, helps me when I know that I can only commit to a few minutes before my next task. The Kindle Paperwhite was my first purchase, and now I own the Kindle Scribe. I find the Scribe great for reading at home, while the Paperwhite continues to be used while out because of its portable size. Can't beat the purchase price for ebooks either! Tsundoku is a Japanese term of slang for the strange phenomenon of purchasing far too many books that a person can't reasonably read in one lifetime. If you really love books it’s nice to have a lot and then have loads on kindle too or return books. I get a lot of the 99p deals on Amazon for the kindle or 50p paperbacks which I return. Sometimes I use the library.

of course! I was discussing alternatives since the ereading community often seems to purchase physical, ebook, and audio copies of every title they read and that’s not accessible for everyone, but it’s also not invalid!

I have a Kindle Scribe but find myself constantly using my old Fold 3 phone or Android tablet which support a Kindle app. If you purchase a kindle ebook, and the paired audible book on Android, iOS, Fire Tablet, and something else (probably cloud reader) support "immersive reading". Immersive reading puts text on the screen and audio through speakers and as the audio plays the text is highlighted on the screen. Unfortunately current Kindle screens prevent actual Kindle hardware from supporting immersive reading. One thing I learned is you can only pair one audible book per Kindle ebook. So that I'm not stuck in the Amazon ecosystem I strip the DRM out of my Kindle and Audible in case I stop purchasing from Amazon so that I can carry my content over and actually own my purchased ebooks/audio books

I have only been here a month so have yet to see them but I am keeping on the lookout lol always checking the toilet and my shoes. the big ones that are seen the most in homes are generally harmless but I’m definitely scared to be surprised by one, and the actual dangerous ones are rare in the urban areas. I think it’s not any different than life was for us in the U.S. honestly, as there are lots of insects and dangerous spiders there too, black widows & brown recluse etc. we put down insect repellent in the doors and windows to try to keep them out of the house :)

I loved my kindle journey I started in 2011. I finally upgraded my kindle to the new paper white. I am reading part of your world by Abby Jimenez. And a new YA book called darker by four. I am the one who ends up with audio and ebook or audio and book form. But I use Libby quite a bit for audiobooks now. I have been working on not feeling the need to buy all my books because it’s bad. I feel like I need to buy any KU book I read. My main issue with Libby is my library is so small that I had to wait 5 months for an audiobooks. I usually only buy ebooks on sale. I rarely ever pay full cost and then if you have the ebook, the audio is cheaper. So if I use it that way, then I’ll pay less than 10 for both ebook and audio.

I find my self reading longer on my kindle or my iPad I can’t focus while reading on physical books I do enjoy buying them and reading them from time to time it’s just hard for me to focus because of the small size of the font, last year my sister gifted me a kindle and I was skeptical at first until I decided to read dune on it because I didn’t want to buy the books and I found myself reading for more than half an hour a day which was my limit per d

I’ve been considering getting one. I have an iPad and have been trying out the kindle app recently and liking it, but been wondering if I should just buy the actual device, since the lack of blulight would be better on my eyes. I have bad eyes like you and can totally relate to preferring a larger font size. I’ve found that larger font helps me concentrate more on reading and I can read faster as a result. I’ve always been a diehard physical book gal, but the ability to pretty much make any book into a large print book on the Kindle is kind of starting to win me over. I’m currently reading Into the Drowning Deep.

thank you for watching and sharing your thoughts!! I think that happens to me when I am perusing the store for new books. that battery life claim is based on an average of 30mins of reading per day at no more than 50% brightness. so for readers that use it more often it decreases faster. mine usually lasts about a month! 🤍 if you have your brightness turned up high, are perusing the store a lot, and downloading books that uses up a lot more battery! I hope it improves for you once you have gotten all your books downloaded etc!! 🌞🫶🏻
