It looks alot better when you leave the braids in all night. I've done it. That way the waves look more defined so the extra curling she did ends up being unnecessary.
Step 1: Air dry hair or blow dry hair to around 50%-80% dry (depending on how quick your hair drys) or dampen dry hair (Optional: You can also add a curl enhancer or a leave-in to your hair to add moisture or enhance waves/curls) Step 2: Section hair into how ever many you want (the more sections the more defined/curly the hair and it will also dry quicker) Step 3: French braid the section/sections (tight braiding = more tight, defined waves/curls | loose braiding = looser waves/curls) Step 4: Blow dry your hair (or go no heat and either air dry or just sleep over night) Step 5: Gently unravel the braid/braids (Optional: Add oil or shine spray to your hands to help frizz/shine while unraveling braids) Step 6: Leave as is or add some hairspray to hold current style (You can also shake out hair before doing so to loosen/relax it) Done 😂😂
I personally do a Dutch braid if I want waves from a braid. french braids make my hair to frizzy & like it was in a braid to get the look. w the Dutch braid its more of a wavy, less frizzy, more natural wave/look.

Thanks for reaching out, Sarah. You can use the diffuser attachment to dry your braids. Remember to keep the diffuser attachment pointing down to avoid frizz, plus high heat and low speed for best results! 💚
What I do is idc if it looks like that but I blow dry all the way then split in 4 sections then braid then let it sit for a while then take them out and I brush them but u don't have to and there u go waves
there are better ways to do this. i respect Aveda, but all that isn't necessary. and the ends! lol!! loop the ends in with the elastic. don't leave them straight...its silly to have to correct that with heat! no way does heat go near my hair. from stylist to stylist. touche.
That's too much work for one day.... My hair is so wavy, all I have to do is twist it around my finger for 5 seconds and it stays like that for the whole day.
This is a super cute look with short and long hair, I've seen people do this with short hair and I have long hair and this is super cute!! Thankyou so much
these are just cornrolls. Why do people call black styles and white styles different? It's the same thing just different names. Just like weave vs. extensions.. This is just a regular braidout for white women lol
Weaves are sewed into your hair and change it completely (texture, length, thickness). Extensions lengthen or thicken your hair and match your texture lol
Fantage Dsigned x no it doesn't Look it up. The women in the vid's hair MUST match the weave they sew in. Somtimes they just put a few pieces (for thickness and length) sometimes they don't. That is why a lot of times they straighten their hair to match the weave. Extensions do the exact same thing! It's just white women don't want to say they have weave in their hair. Kim Kardashian wears a weave just like Beyonce. And both straighten their hair(natural hair) to match it.
A weave is a type of extension but they are not synonymous. She is correct to call this a French braid because it's actually not a cornrow. While they give a similar, if not the same look, cornrows are underbraided and French braids are overbraided. It's technical I know but there is a difference between the two.
+Barbara Danley weave is when the hair is WEAVED into your head. With a thread and needle??? These are simple plaits/flat braid out(she's white she wouldn't know). It's not cultural appropriation to do a braid out its not like she's leaving the house with cornrows and her baby hairs laid. Usually I'd take sides where they need to be taken but you're literally being so dramatic about this. Get over yourself, honestly.
Hi, Marina - we appreciate your feedback and will let our team know. In the meantime, we hope maybe you'll give this video another viewing and then practice the techniques at your own pace to see if that helps out. ^lg
She curled her entire head with the wand,it defeats the purpose of the braids, all that work!
It looks alot better when you leave the braids in all night. I've done it. That way the waves look more defined so the extra curling she did ends up being unnecessary.
So much work for such a simple hair style
It takes so much work because people take effort to make the hairstyle

It was really nice hair styling by yourself I needed that type of styles on my hair and these are really good tips for me by myself Thankyou.
My hair is so thick, it takes 5 hours to air dry without braiding....with braiding...l..I don't want to know
Mine is going to dry in 24 hours with braids
You just have to wait until it's 95 percent dry and do smaller braids, it works for everyone, it just depends on your hair
My hair dries in about 12 hours!!!!!!!!!
+Love 1 Liyah

My hair is naturally wavy and I comb it out in the morning and get a head full of frizz. How can I comb it quickly without having frizz?

What would happen if you used the diffuser attachment on the braids before taking them out?
Thanks for reaching out, Sarah. You can use the diffuser attachment to dry your braids. Remember to keep the diffuser attachment pointing down to avoid frizz, plus high heat and low speed for best results! 💚

So basically a braid out 💀
you didn't even need to braid it, you just curled it
How to over complicate braid waves.
I knew that once more women went natural that this would happen. This is simply a braid out with 97 extra steps added because her hair is so limp

First, *cornrows*. Second, worldwide, people have different names for similar things across recorded history. STFU culture appropriation is BS.
