Dude…I would’ve never known about these. I used them today when I changed out a ceiling light fixture. Total game changer. Thanks for the great tip and all that you do!
Was changing out the speakers on my boat. Old wire was way to short, had some left over from the trailer lights. Bought some of the straight wago connectors and worked like a charm! I'm confident they'll hold up! Never used em before, damn they're nice.
@@ghg789987 Not intended for a wet/damp application. Proper way in marine is a heat shrink crimp with a proper crimp tool.
Pro tip, use a connector with one more slot that’s not being used so you can check voltage with your multimeter without having to disconnect the connectors you’re welcome
These are also great to connect wires that for whatever reason are too short. I recently came across a problem where I only had about 2" to work with, not giving me enough wire to twist onto in the box, I used these connectors and it saved me from having to rewire the whole area.
Yep! They make straight ones for splicing like that! Just tried em out for the first time myself. My boat's speaker wire was too short, and I wasn't going to trust a wire nut. The wago connectors worked like some sort of magic! Love em!
I used these last time I worked on Ceiling fans and they all had stranded wire. Easy to use and the wire did not pull out
nice connectors
I'm an electrician and when you have one solid and one stranded, you start the solid around the stranded first, then twist them together.
and two solids but different sizes, you start the larger around the smaller first, then twist them both together.
Thanks for the tips!
Try soldering and shrink tubes, more cost effective
Yeah, the inline one just came out. That is a lot nicer when you don't havre much space...
Totally agree!!!
Deez wire nuts 😂😂
Thank you, you are so amazing individual I really appreciated you! ❤❤❤
Thank you, I appreciate it…
Where can i buy? Can you give a link please?
Do you have any Self Sealing Stem Bolt?
Some houses mostly the old ones have aluminium wires instead of copper, never mix copper wires with aluminum ones in high amperage applications, they might have the same gage size but conductivity and resistance are totally different from one another.
I'm not an electrician, but the two can be mixed and there's specific methods to do so. Aluminum wiring is okay as long as the proper paste was used at the connections and guage size is correct.
If I purchased an old house with aluminum wiring the first thing I would do is confirm GA and go through every line termination and refresh the ends to make sure they're clean and freshly pasted. That would give me many years until I decided to spend the money to replace them or if I sold the house would know that it won't burn down anytime soon on the next owners.
@@joedanero5360 If you're not an electrician why are you contradicting me?
@@nvcncs 😆Nice. Are you one?
@@joedanero5360 Yes, certified Technician in electrical installations and automatizations, I've been working for 5 years
That just means they can sustain diferant currents, you can connect them
Costly but nice
😮 I like this new connectors nuts. So much easier
I just got these recommended, they are great. What’s an example of wanting to connect three or more wires though?
Just chain them? For eg connect two 3-wire connectors together and now you have a 4-wire connector.
the inline one is nice (:
When I saw this I thought you had to put 3 Ethernet cables to you nvr or Poe switch 😂
These Wire nuts..
🫡
Is that going to cost three times more than a wire nut?
Very costly.
Thank you for teaching me something new! ❤
I’m a D.I. Wire , dad joke
I went nutless a while ago!
Deez wire nuuuuuuuuuuuuts😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Thank L.H.
I am a DI wire.
23awg wires... even some solid ethernet cables are thicker lol
Sorry but Wago is the lazy way of making a connection.
It’s pronounced waygo but spelled wago. Not waggo. Also it will only pull out if you suck at putting wire nuts on. I always do a strong tug test. But wagos is best.
Yours is even more wrong 😅 It's pronounced va.go because it's German.
If u can pull the wire put without ripping it u did it wrong
Soldering the tip of the stranded wire fixes that issue. I don’t like wago for home wiring because the metal connector they have inside is way too thin. Many electricians complain that they heat up and melt when used on anything that draws moderate amperage.
Wrong. They are rated at 31A but it can handle well beyond 100A based on some testing some electricians did on youtube. Have used them on 16A circuits for almost a decade.. Not a single issue so far. Led lights draw very little current.
When u have stranded and solid u should put stranded on top so it folds over the solid wire. Wagos suck in the long run don’t be lazy and twist your wires.
Wagos have been used in Germany and Europe for over 50 years. Wires nuts like U.S. electrics should belong in a museum 😅
They may be better now but these have a bad history. If you put wires of different sizes in them the smaller wire would not get a good connection. Caused multiple fixtures to catch fire. They got pulled from shelf’s for years! They now say they are good but depends on brand/date of manufacture.
The push grip style can cause issues, still do, especially if not properly installed, the lever style ones don’t though, assuming of course you seat the wire in the first place.
The main problem is cost, if you’re making a permanent connection and you know how to use them wire nuts are cheaper.
Also wire nuts have a particularly bad rep in europe for failing, so screw connector blocks or wago style connectors are extremely common
You always give it a quick tape job
Love it
NO
You can also keep using your wire nuts ;)
