The son of the older man made me cry. He could have been bitter about older parents but he appreciates their life experience. So sweet! The older couples are also so sweet. Oh Clement and Peggy🥰
It is so refreshing to see that there are still children who are raised to be such beautiful human beings. i pray every day my child grows up to be like his son.
I can relate to Bob's son Matt about having an older father. My dad was 54 yrs old when I was born. All the kids in school thought he was my grandpa too. I would say, "No, that's my dad!"
Just love watching this hospital program i am a nurse in south Africa cape town and love watching hospital stories i look after elderly people that is were my heart is they are so pressures ❤❤❤❤❤
I love Clement's and Peggy's life and love story. I was teared up when they wrote at the end of the show that she passed away. 😢 I'm so sorry for Clement, he needed her so much. 😢
My Dad was 65 when i was born, so i relate to Matthew with the comments at school. I wouldnt have had in any other way tho. He was the most loving person in my life and we never went without or felt like we were missing out on anything. From a very young age i remember the conversations we had, he never sugar coated that he wouldnt be around to see me grow up. He passed at 80 when i was 15 ❤
Clement and Peggy are precious. Reminds me of how heartbreaking Alzheimer's is for friends and family. Sometimes the best we can do is hold hands. Always remember that every patient has a history. Bob is a cheeky hoot and Matt is just lovely. The brothers are typical siblings; can't give a break to each other.
This emergency room is very busy but the doctors know what they are doing to take care of there patients this couple being married 58 year s God bless them
It’s great to see all the different cases that come in and characters that you see, some sad and some quite funny and the wonderful staff that work so hard in the emergency departments. And that nurse Anna is sooo pretty and sweet.
Love Peggy and Clement, am from India so its so cool to hear them speak in hindi, such a sweet couple❤ Matthew is an amazing son, i love the way he loves his dad, he will be an amazing husband and dad one dad. God bleas you all ❤
Married for 55years. You two are such a sweet couple. Bless you and yours. Bob and his son are wonderful and have a relationship that I wish I had with my parents. Sad about Peggy. I hope her husband is doing well. The picture you showed she was beautiful
My ex-husband had a pacemaker and defibrillator. He had a very painful death because it kept shocking him over and over. Screaming like I've never heard. I told my daughter DO NOT let them put one of those things in me please. I would rather take my chances without one. My daddy was much older than my momma so everyone thought he was my Grandfather.
About 75% of the patients are elderly people. Before, they used to be living with their families, under their constant watchful eyes. That way they weren’t collapsing and laying for hours alone, or falling down stairs and breaking their hips ect ect. That’s one way society has changed for the worse, I think.
I had my son at 45 and I constantly worry about him losing me. I’m not afraid of death but I wanna live long enough to see him settled with the wife and family
NHS may not be perfect, but I think they are great. The only problem with it is lack of funding. The nurses and doctors and all other staff are wonderful. I’m just amazed that you can get a sandwich and a “cuppa”.
It really surprises me that they allow people to eat in the emergency room. What if you suddenly need surgery? They allow my stepdaughter to eat before a procedure and she got aspiration pneumonia. She ended up with a breathing tube.
If they schedule a surgery they certainly prefer you don't but just as if you were in an emergency such as a car crash or gunshot where you had to have immediate surgery, you CAN manage it if they've eaten. It's just more tricky and risks complications they'd prefer to avoid if possible. Most of the people who will need rushing into emergency surgery asap are not toddling in and sitting in the waiting room... they're triaged and get fast tracked where they won't be eating or are urgent enough they'll use extra protocols if they have.
Wow In The Netherlands you do not go to A&E for a cut on your finger. We go first to an out of time Doctor & they decide if you need to go to hospital, otherwise they can help you at the out of surgery time. This is why the waiting time in the UK is so long at hospital
Annoys me when a doctor walks in to the cubicle, doesn't acknowledge the patient's family member or try to build rapport before just rambling on about what they're going to do. I understand that they're busy but a few seconds of politeness will go a long way. Some doctors just don't have good bedside manners.
I would prefer the doctor to start treating my family member right away instead chatting with me just to be polite A few minutes can save a life Talking to much is waste of time anyway, specially when you’re sick and worried
Remember...this is TV ...it is scripted and edited. Very expensive to waste story time on PR with family. The PR serves no purpose to move the story line along. Viewers are very gullible as to what they think is real life or how stories are told in a docu series.
I wish! They rarely get blood on first try, and my veins blow as soon as they see a needle. Nurses hate trying to get blood. Once I was in for my labs The nurses could not get blood. They finally found one vein that didn't blow. Had urine test yesterday, they had to give me two 16oz water to get any. I had fasted, thinking that I had labs.
Get a numbing product from the pharmacy yourself and talk to the nurses about when to use it, it worked for my niece who is terrified of injections 😊. Always drink water before any blood test unless strictly forbidden. Getting anything into, or out of, a vein without good hydration is a trial for you and the nurses.
@@Grace-xi1zg I have tried it all. With blood work I can't drink or eat. Dr.tries to get me in as close to 8am as possible. Same as with my sister. We always seem to leave our veins at home.
I LOVE the story of how Clement and Peggy got engaged! When he said it was quite by accident, I was trying to think "how do you propose by accident?"
The son of the older man made me cry. He could have been bitter about older parents but he appreciates their life experience. So sweet! The older couples are also so sweet. Oh Clement and Peggy🥰
So touching to see Matt's love for his Dad. Any father would be proud to have a son like that. Very special
It is so refreshing to see that there are still children who are raised to be such beautiful human beings. i pray every day my child grows up to be like his son.
You’re aware of what it takes, your son will 😊.
The love between the elderly man and woman is absolute, true, pure and absolutely heart warming ❤❤

the elderly couple love story melts my heart. To hear peggy has dementia and alzheimer's hit hard because my me'me (grandma) had it. 😭
aw peggy and her hubby are the sweetest

Kym,
Is your Mom still alive? If not, how old were you when she passed?
You have such an interesting life story!

Peggy and Clement are a love story, I'm sorry she passed.
Clement sounds remarkably like Sir David Attenborough

Most people don't need surgery though. And even if they do, they may have eaten right before they got hurt anyway.

The difference is that the NHS is *free*!
Here in CANADA you are darn lucky if you have a family doctor. Sometimes the only place you can go is the hospital.
What does "bobs ur uncle,n fannys ur aunt" mean????
What does it mean
I’m not British, but I have heard it used before. I think it means “it will turn out good, it will be fixed”.

I despise the bot comments. I have taken to giving them a thumbs down
I report them everyday lol but they don’t go away ugh 😂
@@alyssawssinging4039 So do I. What makes them even funnier is when it appears with a man's name with the picture 😂😂🤣🤣.
At least she changed her knickers! I'm American, but knickers sounds better than panties. My husband had always said skivvies.
I see they are sharing the same knickers 😂😂
@20:59 Taking blood and or accessing a line should never cause pain. The use of a topical pain killer should always be used.
I want to live where you do because I’ve been hurt and brought to tears So Many Times 😭
