I don't even look in the candle aisle anymore in Homesense. The prices are ridiculous. Making a determined effort this year to really reduce my candle stash (at least until Goosecreek has another decent sale).

You look lovely in your Periwinkle blouse and pretty, feminine sweater. 😃 I've found electric lighters to be much more to my liking than regular lighters. You charge them with a USB. They have bendable necks, so you can use them in either small or tall candles. I used to buy lighters from the stores. I found it on Amazon, and it wasn't expensive.
Hi Heidi - I suggest trying a candle lighter that is USB rechargeable. I love mine and they aren't expensive. I don't have to keep buying lighters and throwing them away. No flames as well. I've only had good luck with 1 or 2 DW candles. They smell nice on cold but that's about it. I've had pretty good luck with the newer Yankee signature candles. The strength and throw are better. The old style jars still don't throw well. I want to try their new 3 wicks. Happy melting!

I know what you mean about the inconsistency in the D W Home candles. I use to love their candles but, many don't throw good anymore. I still have some fall and everyday scents to get through. I won't be buying any more. The scent throw isn't there for the price they are changing. I usually got mine in TJ Maxx and HomeGoods stores. I just won't buy anymore. I Love the scent of Scentsationals Salted Caramel ButterCream wax melts. 🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎 It's still available in my Walmart stores. Infact I love most Salted Caramel scents from many companies. Such a decadent scent. 🤎🤎🤎🤎🤎As, you know from watching my videos I love YC's Salted Caramel scents too. You get the Sea Salt note. Aww, thank you so much! I really do love the scents DW offers but just don't want to waste my money anymore on poor burns and throws. Salted Caramel is definitely a decadent scent and love it on a cold winter day. Getting rain and possibly some snow this week but after Friday it's looking amazing!
Thanks for sharing your empties! I just got through my first pack of iridescent wax melt and loved it! Also thought fireplace was a little odd with that spice note, I think I was just expecting a more cozy fireplace type scent, so not too sure on that one. Currently melting Scentsationals butter rum mocha and goodness, it is delicious and quite the thrower! I tend to not like spring or summer scents, except for iced tea scents haha Can’t wait for your book reviews!
The Butter Rum Mocha is so good! Glad I was able to pick up another while in the States. I love tea scents also. I am definitely a bigger fan of winter/fall scents also. Thanks for watching!

I liked Juicy Citrus and Sea Salt a lot. I had 2 candles back in the day that luckily i could smell.
Yankee's wax melts are pretty inconsistent with their throws. Some are extremely light while others are powerhouses. Thanks for watching!
