    So I had a disposable bamboo chopstick in my sewing stash for stuffing dolls and drilled a hole in the flat squared-off edge, bam a large, rigid, repurposed tapestry needle that cost nothing. Definitely recommend if you're weaving on a budget, but oh how I would love to get one of these gorgeous wood ones from Spruce & Linen.

    HinJanelle, new to weaving…have your videos on repeat 😂. Can you do a video about fringe styles? I love what you did on your sisters weaving. My fringes are mostly chunky right now but I’d love to learn any other techniques/designs of fringe. Your teaching is really great- easy to follow along. Thank you for sharing your git with us! Patty

    I tip I discovered for storing yarn and materials is using a shoe storage thing that hangs on a door frame! This is great for small spaces!

    Love the container idea for warping! Have to admit, I’m a little embarrassed about chasing my warp string around the room at times. This will be so much easier and faster.

      hahaha, we've all been there!! So glad you won't have to chase your warp string anymore 🙌🏼

    Really like the mason jar for containing warp thread and hanging the weaving comb around your neck ideas. I stumbled upon the fringe template idea myself pretty recently and I highly recommend it. Thanks for the video

    If you would rather not weave flat on a table or in your lap, put your loom on a painters easel. You can adjust the angle of your work and there is an adjustable piece on the mast that you can tighten down to the top of your loom to hold it firmly in place. These easels come in all sizes from tabletop to large studio floor easels and are a lifesaver for your back and shoulders!

    Loved the video! I really liked the idea of the mason jar for smaller warp spools, however, I have tile floors in most of my house and never use glass. I will look for the same concept in plastic and report back. Thanks again!

      I often also use a small plastic mixing bowl, that would work much better on a tile floor! 😊

    Thank you for the info. I am just about to buy my first loom. What size do you suggest I start with? I would like to make various sizes of wall hangings.

    • @spruceandlinen
      @spruceandlinen  2 года назад

      That just depends on how big of weavings you'd like to make. If you want to mostly do smaller pieces I'd suggest this one: spruceandlinen.com/collections/weaving-tools/products/flat-pack-frame-loom Or a bigger option is this one: spruceandlinen.com/collections/weaving-tools/products/20-frame-loom-beka-20-delux-frame-loom-weaving-loom-table-frame-loom
