Thanks all for watching, liking and subscribing! We continue to try and fine tune these graphics comparisons! hopefully this add's and let us know any additions we can make for future releases. Anyone been playing this as well? Enjoying it?
For £250 the ss still looks clean like i played the beta on the ss on my 4k telly and it looked spot on.still waiting for the sx to play the full game on though I need pixel perfect for sniping haha
Of course Series X is better. No doubt about that. But considering the inflated price of the Series X at the moment (about 700€ in Europe) versus the price of Series S (260€ at Amazon), for me the clear winner in price vs performance is the Series S.
Yea the series S is still an excellent console, you're sacrificing a bit of visual fidelity and higher framerates on some games but it's the best value for money at the moment, especially with game pass.
On small screen it's not a big difference but when you have a look on 55 inch 4k TV than smoke and fog rendering are way much better on series X on series s pixel are quite visible....
So the series S up scales from 1440 to 4K using hardware and algorithms, how do you propose we downscale the native 4K footage from Xbox series X to 2K? Also the resolution is not the only factor, there are a lot of other things which contribute to differences in quality.
@@GameCornerPlays isn't there setting to change display/output resolution from the xbox? That's what I mean, by ruling out resolution we can truly distinguish the graphic quality between them.
Awesome vid!! In future can you slow down the rate at which you change from S to X? Would really help spot the differences more easily :) thanks! Both versions look great! But seems the X defo has more than just a simple resolution advantage, foliage looks better on it too.
why is every picture zoomed in? im watching this in 1080p and its crazy how close they look... i believe that playing on full hd booth consoles would deliver the same
Hey Granz, I had to zoom both the X and S footage in by 20% in order to line up the wipe transitions properly, this essentially just cut off parts covered by HUD elements. As for playing in Full HD on both consoles, the game uses a dynamic resolutions, but the Series S runs upscaled 1440p while the X is at 2160p. The series S cannot put out the same resolution as the Series X, the footage are both at "Full HD". The output resolution Isn't the be all and end all of visuals though, texture quality, draw distance, lighting, shadows and environmental particle effects all play a part and as you can clearly see, the Series X has higher settings for all of these, none of the footage has been modified, its all shown exactly as recorded.
Someone has tested the 1060 vs series X here - ruclips.net/video/jwH0ixlmpLI/видео.html. There are however other things to consider aside from the GPU. I would say though that the Series S looks just as good in a lot of games, we are frequently putting out comparisons videos on the channel between the S and X so you might want to check them out too.
I'm not sure what you mean Vibe? Usually you would just have a payment card linked to the Microsoft account you sign in to your Xbox with and buy stuff using that.
What's with their optimization on this game.. the very first battlefield release on these brand new consoles and they're already downgrading the Series S,s visual quality?
unfortunately, both consoles are not used to their full potential, DirectStorage could solve the texture pop-in and DirectML(Microsoft DLSS equivalent ) could be used to upscale the image with AI to get better quality but no dev is using these features
I didn’t make the video, luke did, this is alex but I thought it was great when one characters eyebrows got a little bit bushier lol. Like one of those balding ads. Series X adding bigger eyebrows all day
@@d_8477 I wasn't asking you. Before I buy a series x or s it better look better then what I got cause everything still looks great on mine in not spending 1000$ for what I barely see the difference here
I believe the series S is but it's upscale to 4K, when both videos were imported into Premier Pro there was no scaling needed. This would do doubt effect the resolution but its more the texture quality, draw distance, lighting and environmental effects which I think really make the difference with this one.
I was about to give in and go for the S for now but the difference is very clear. If I could get my hands on a series x or PS5 for 500 i would pull the trigger now but they are running well above that "used". Owned PS1 through to 4 Pro but never owned an xbox. Dont like their fat controllers and in past they fell behind in performance but xbox has it by a mile this gen.
Not when you look so no. But I bought the Series X precisely because I play in 4K. If I run both my Series S & X side by side in 4K on my TV, there is an extremely big difference. Special distance. I get about 30% longer clear vision at longer distances before it gets too blurry. Didn't happen on my Series S. BUT, with my Series S, a lot of grass, trees, etc disappeared, so it was a big advantage to see enemies etc compared to Series X. So there are both pros & cons. Series X flows better in games. Battlefield 2042 which I mainly play made a big difference. Both visual & flow.
@hessmo If you increase the sharpness of your TV to the max put super-resolution to high and increase the color debt just a little bit the problem is gonna be 95% fixed what's gonna be left is a little bit of pop-ups in certain games. Try it and tell me and don't compare with the zoom, no one plays a game with the zoom.

Xbox Series S is the most powerful gaming machine that you can get for $300.
I got mine for $250. Early Black Friday sale
Series s graphics look amazing in my opinion
One day I will own the Series X...

Yea, I think if you're watching a comparison video with 4K footage, you really need to watch it on the appropriate device to see a real difference.
Wow! It's a huge difference, much more detail in the x version, way better graphics, and lighting
Battlefield 1 and 5 still looks better and runs at 120 on Series S
Definitely bf1 but I thought 5 still looks a little rough on the ss
I would hope a 5 or 6 year old game runs at 120 fps on the latest hardware
😂😂😂😂😂
You should compare them at the same resolution (2k) as the series s can't handle 4k. Then we can see if there are any graphic differences
So the series S up scales from 1440 to 4K using hardware and algorithms, how do you propose we downscale the native 4K footage from Xbox series X to 2K? Also the resolution is not the only factor, there are a lot of other things which contribute to differences in quality.

That's what I mean, by ruling out resolution we can truly distinguish the graphic quality between them.
It's on tv&display options. Or maybe put them both on 1080p maybe we can see surprises 😂
Which resolution you are playing on series s?
Clear difference between both but Series S is not disappointing by any means. Still looks phenomenal for the price, availability and portability
Does series s reach 120fps on 1080p ?
Looking forward to buy one, is it worth it?
No as far as I am aware both run at 60fps standard.
No 120fps on console for bf2042
На 90% пк 120 фпс тоже нет)
I got one as I couldn't get hold ov a series x and I've not been disappointed it's a great little system and well worth the price tag

Bro…how well series s fits for samsung frame 55inch 4k tv?????
For most games visuals are upscaled from 1440 to 4K so they should look as good as they would on any reasonably sized 4k TV.
why is every picture zoomed in? im watching this in 1080p and its crazy how close they look... i believe that playing on full hd booth consoles would deliver the same

Do you have to buy gift cards to actually buy games for series s? Because I don’t see any codes
I'm not sure what you mean Vibe? Usually you would just have a payment card linked to the Microsoft account you sign in to your Xbox with and buy stuff using that.
Yeah Series S all the way for the price, not that I could even get an X if I wanted it.

Looks absolutely phenomenal on both

Doesn't that account for difference

the series s renders it at 1260p and the drawing distance is lower.
I notice Series x has better reflections and lightings
One just has got more shadowing effects

There is almost no difference between the two no huge difference

You can absolutely get one now but they're $1100 after taxes. Take a look around online and you'll see that many online retailers have them in stock
the Xbox S series version was very bad to do it is really shameful
