*Seems like a good solar **Generater.Systems** . I have not had to put it to the test yet in a situation without power but it has seemed to operate fine so far.*
Thank you for your help I was struggling to figure out why it was not charging my ecoflow even talked with ecoflow and they said it was due to the combined volts or watts or some such, I knew that was wrong to many people on youtube doing it. Your mentioning the polarity and that little adapter did the trick,. Again a huge thank you!
Thanks for this video. Got river pro 2 last week but it’s an updated system and it charges from 30% to 100% with 120v ac outlet in less than an hour. Can’t wait to try it with a solar panel.
I wasted so much time trying to figure out why my solar panels were not charging my bluetti eb3a, it was the polarity adapter I needed the whole time! I even had one and didnt realize what it was for until seeing this video. Thanks for pointing this out.
your a hero, great video
Thank you. I went on Google and typed yor mc4 adapter harbor freight and ordered a one piece cord and it works. Thanks. I love my ecoflow we are completely off grid with it
Great video and really appreciate you posting! That polarity thing is odd, but REALLY glad that the connector came bundled with the kit!
Unimaginable that polarity would be reversed. I bought one and not sure if I want any more. . Reversing the polarity is a serious issue with damages .
Your video is exactly what I was looking for. Thanks.
Glad it helped
thank you for taking the time with this video.
Just ordered my River and really appreciate the info and the links for the connector!
Glad the information helped.
Thank you for your service Sir. great info on solar charging and cable hookup
Thank you. This was soooo helpful
Thank you for the video! Very helpful!
Thanks for sharing. I have both and will use your advise.
You are a rock star!! Great and helpful video
Thank you for your video, it has helped me a lot!
Perfect just what I needed ordered
I am so glad that I found you. My solar panels are HF. I have been running Jackery power stations and recently found a nice EcoFlow 1260 on sale. I will research the power reverse connector. And the pig tail. If you have time let me know more about that. If not, thank you for your information. Good job!!! Rev
Thank you I'm looking into the same unit thank you for your service also
Looks great Tex👍
Thank you sir
Thanks!
Thanks for this video, the info was just what I needed. How about the part number, Amazon, for some extensions? Wanted to keep my ECOFLO indoors. Have a great day. 👍 🇺🇸
Excellent video i have the same exact set up and was wondering about the little black adapter for the solar panels.. Thank you
Your welcome. Glad it helped.
@@ThermalDogOutfitters Quick question. I ordered a 100w panel off of eBay. It came with the AE plug. After I get the adapter kit, do I assume that the polarity is reversed on my panel ? Thus I need to connect the middle reverse adapter ? Thanks in advance.
DONT FORGET!!! That 6 to 8 hours stated charging time is under ideal conditions, sun all day. At home I'm in an apartment, I get max 5 hours of direct sun.
We want more videos !!!!
I paid $249 at the July 4th Home Depot special with the eco-flow river not the pro but the river 1200 watt 1800 w
Ecoflo charges to 90% in 1 hr and 100% in 2 from an outlet of course. I have a river max which is a river plus an extra battery stacked on and they both charged to full in about 90 minutes. Haven't tired solar panels yet but I'm going to in my semiretirement years do some prepping to reduce bills before I can't work anymore.
Wow another fantastic amazing super great video info and analysis from absolutely the best channel on RUclips. Harbor freight sells a gray hub that you can plug into it up to 400 watts . Off the hub it has a connecter thst has the red positive wire and the black negative wire do you think you can add the mc4 connectors to the wires and connect that the the cable that has the mc4 and the connector to the Eccoflow to charge the unt? Csn you naje a vidioo on this ? Thank you and keep up the great videos coming keep up
I can try and see. I happen to have a couple at the house.
@@ThermalDogOutfitters this is why your channel is so great you get back to the subscribers . that would be fantastic if you try it . the harbor freight solar kit comes with 4-- 25 wall panels in the kit . the panels are incredible and have there own stand built in to move them around the yard. they work in very low lighting . i have a extra thunderbolt 400 wall universal solar connector but dont know how to set it up right. it has 8 places to add solar panels up to 400 watts total . the unit comes with a sae barrel pug that leads out of the unit and has a red and black wire that i dont know if you need to add the polarity changer you show in your video or can i just add the mc4 connectors yo my eco river max . thank you for all info you provide
Is the yellow connector an XT60 plug/socket?
Be careful putting those HF panels in parallel with SAE connectors. They will melt. I replaced all of my sae with mc4’s.
You should get another thunderbolt panel , wire it up in series for faster charging
got 4 harbor frieght panels they didnt come with the polarity swap thingy, i need 1 for each panel?
is it ik to remove the little red rubber ring on a mc4 connecter to make it snap in better?
That ring is for waterproofing, to keep rain and humidity away from the electrical wire. I suggest to leave it there if the connector is outdoors.
MC4 Connectors - no good for anything mobile. Stay with the SAE Connectors. Use the Harbor Freight Hub. Just make sure that you use a 10Awg SAE Cable on the HUB Output. Four Solar Panels produce about 22Amps on the Output from the HUB. Then, use an SAE to 7.9mm DC Adapter, 8 inch length to connect with EcoFlow. That's my recommendation. Stay away from MC4 Connectors. They are only good for a permanent installation. Another good option are Anderson Connectors. Try that.
Thanks for the post. That info is exactly what I was looking for.
What tells you that you need to use the adapter?
I watched this video before my ecoflow delta mini arrived so I was aware of the HF adapter for polarity, plugged up the panels and got nothing, verified that my polarity was right all the way to connector on back of ecoflow, still nothing. (im using 4x25w panels, with the HF hub and the folding 100w HF panel plugged into it) Decided to try individual panels but till nothing at all. Anyone else run into this?
what happens if you keep that connected to the charger all the time and use it at the same time? does it drain the battery and then constantly recharge and eat up the cycles? or does it detect being connected to AC power and provide power to the outlets without using battery life?
I have the exact setup, but the wires get really hot at the polarity plug. Why is That? Thanks.Great video
Good Video, thank you. A couple of questions please. 1) I have ordered the smaller echo Flow version, is there a way to parallel two of these solar generators together to increase the output like a gasoline generator? 2) You mentioned adding more than one solar panel. I am using a 100 watt HF suitcase panel. How do you add more than one solar panel to charge the Echo Flow's? Thank you.
I am not sure if you can Put 2 units together... I think there is an adapter Battery that you can order for yours.... I have the same eco flow flow in this video, and just ordered the extra battery pack...ebay has them refurbished with a 2 yr warranty for a great price..... I also have 2 of the the same suitcase panels you have.... You can order splitters and run two panels at the same time.... I just received my splitters today but it's too dark to experiment tonight.... But yes you can buy splitters to run 2/3/4 panels... I ordered mine from amazon... I can't remember exactly what I typed in but just type in something like solar splitters and you will find them
I just copied a link... I'm not sure if you'll see it because you tube is funny about that kind of stuff... I ordered two pair but you can also order just a single pair
@@PhantomOfThePsy-Opera Thank you sir, I ordered and received the suggested connectors and it works perfectly. Thank you for the excellent suggestion.
@michaelm6091 that's awesome...really glad I could help....still learning as I go, myself....but that's the game of life😀....stay blessed!
It got 80!!!
You sound like a gambler asking for 80 watts lol ive been there done that.
Will that adapter work with my harbor freight 100 w panel to my bluetti
Yes I use it on my bluetti as well
@@ThermalDogOutfitters ...can you do a video connecting the harbor freight to the bluetti? I bought the adapter from amazon. I have the cable with fitting to connect to the bluetti. I’ve found few videos on harbor freight panels.

return all your adapters get three panels & a backup. If you want life sustaining power, get a new EV battery
10-20$ U.S. @ retail for 10cents of "raw materials". I can send you a picture of a 100 obsolete wires/connections that all qualify as recent
I’m a woman and I wish I could have seen what you connected to , the adapter ? The other lines I couldn’t see what you did. All of the lines would have to be laid out strainght. And the ends are all different. Did you make a circle loop with the adapter?ive paid too much money to get this polarity reversed.
The adapter comes with the reverse polarity attachment. You only need it for the harbor frieght panels.
@@ThermalDogOutfitters I did buy it the one you have in video. I need to see what connects to what.
@@ThermalDogOutfitters ....I just connected it all . Thank you .
cut wires, solder, seal w/ caulk, spending is questionable, creating associated debt, awful.
u wood think there's 31 flavors of electricity. a 100 if u include AC. silly, really. All but a few of these "plugs" will be waste in a few years. Go to estate sales & flea markets, a 1000 useless "plugs" making the wires worthless

Hi, can you please help me out. I have the ecoflow river and I bought some cheap solar panels from temu(I know. Lol) anyway the panels have a barrel type y connector that can connect to a cigarette male. What or how do I use this connection to go to my ecoflow so I can charge it. The panels also have a USB connection that is hard wired on the back of the panels. Thank you.
