Rotas held it down for the car community back in the day. When you're a broke college student and you get that financial aid check in the mail, you go to Rota
Rota wheels are great quality they test this wheels on the shitty Philippine roads and they held out well. As a Filipino myself that’s more than enough for me to go for them if I don’t want to fork serious cash for BBS.
Late comment but I do also use a Rotary GT3 wheels on my Honda GK5 Jazz manual!! They’re really great wheels!! Color is white btw!! I’ve had them for almost 2-3 years!!
When we got invited to watch the first Toyota Cup they have used the Rotas on all cars... When the race went on for like 20min one car had suffered from a blown tire... The heck we were shocked he ran those rims on the tarmac for 4 laps without any tires on them! I gotta say I think I'm a believer.
Have had 18” rota SVNS on my stage 2 wrx for like 8 years. They’ve been very reliable, no cracks, dents, etc despite sliding sideways at 90 several times.
To drop my two cents like an incontinent vending machine, Rota, sooner or later, was bound to happen. If a manufacturer loke Volk or Work makes a nice wheel, especially a racing wheel, there will inevitably be people that will want to get one without actually needing the performance it delivers or caring about the big, famous or high-end brand, and most importantly, lacking the green to back up a four-digit purchase. See stock-ish Miatas, or even EGs, rolling Grid-Vs. It's just stupid to think someone who's spent 3k on his car will pay as much for wheels if only he's not offered a cheaper option. And if that demand is going to be met by offer (as it always happens everywhere), I'd rather have it be by a manufacturer that actually bothers testing their wheels, works with actual car manufacturers, is trusted and supported by people like Tsuchiya, and very much importantly (something often overlooked) caring about the customer (meaning they actually offer a warranty and will replace your wheels free of charge. Look for another "fake wheels" manufacturer that does that). Is it unfair to, if not outright copy those wheels, certainly aim to sell them at those who were interested in them? That's on you. But it was always gonna happen. And personally I'd rather have law law to be too loose than too strict. But it was gonna happen anyway, and Rota is pretty much as good as a manufacturer like this could ever get. Whether you like it or less, cheers to all our broke buddies riding safe thanks to Rota.
This is honestly the best way to look at. At the end of the day, I got lucky and found an amazing condition s197 stang for 5,500$ in wholesale. To spend 1 grand per wheel is just not something feasible or appealing to me.

ROTA wheels enabled first time car enthusiasts to enjoy their cars by starting to modifying them according to their own likes & taste. Great looking quality wheels you can use (and abuse) without breaking the bank. Race competition proven and tested. If it’s good enough for racing, it’s more than enough for the streets. 😎🇵🇭
Thank you so much for clearing an argument for me. I been saying that Rota has been around just as long as the big 3. And, that for someone who wants to add better rubber on a car that's got 0 offset and 14" wheels Rota and XXR are good choices and don't REP anyone but themselves. If they're good enough for the original DK, they're good enough for me.

How good are they in cold weather daily use? Will they crack in cold weather? I live in finland and im not sure whether or not they can handle -25 celsius with rough use.
Pyromaniac I’ve only used them at a lowest of 5(ish) degrees Celsius. It doesn’t get too cold where I live. However they hold up well, same in 40+ degrees Celsius days. I’ve been pretty rough with mine too
I destroyed 2 with a single launch on a drag strip. It literally sheared the bolt holes right out of them. I cracked an entire set on my FB. I was literally told the car was too powerful

Yo Hoes I see it as buying a watch that looks good, is affordable, and is reliable. Not because I want a fake, but because I would rather mess up my first aftermarket rims that only cost 1000$ a set, not 3000$ a set.
Rotas been pretty good in my book. They aren't the real thing but they do the job. Yeah its a company that steals designs from other companies but you can only do a 6 spoke rims so many different ways before you get the same look. Just look at CCW, some of their rims look like BBS and other wheel manufacture's rims. When it comes down to it, its what you can afford, and if you can afford to run rotas or run BBS, Welds, Works, etc then more power to you.
Honestly I’m glad there’s wheels like rota. Knockoff wheels with decent quality and an affordable price. Good for people on a budget and for beater cars like a drift car.
Honestly nothing better for a drift car. Who cares if you smack the curb and crack it? They're cheap af. Can't say the same for the "originals" in most cases.
NOICE! currently running Rota RBs in 17x7.5 & should be taking delivery of some special order RKRs in 17x8 any day now... I personally don't mind Rota 'knocking off' other wheels because I couldn't get RS Watanabe in the offset I need in 17x8 R types. I do think too many wheel companies are doing 'me too' designs these days... all the more reason to push for my own very unique wheels to get to market somehow. Anyway... eye-opening video on Rotas... thanks!
I ran Regamaster (spoon) wheels on my old ITR but when I started AutoXing it I needed 15X8- 15x9 so Rota is was. People talk so much shit but if they are good enough for motorsports they are good enough for me.
Rota D154 user here. I drive a Fiesta hatch in the Philippines. Anyone who has driven in the Philippines know how horrible the potholes are. Unfortunately I ran into one and cracked the front right of the knock off wheel that came installed when I originally bought the car. Next day, went to my favorite tire place and got myself a new set of 16s D154 and Hankook tires. In the Philippines though they go for about $800 for 16s, more if you go direct to Rota.. That bit confused me, they were more expensive from the manufacturer than their reseller.
I've just shared your site with 5 separate KDM pages to get more in your gallery. Hopefully you see an increase of KDM over the next couple weeks. The only thing I don't like about Rotas is that most of their wheels are similar in design to me. There's a few I like that like the TS6-F, but they don't run a 17in since that's what I think looks best on my car.
This sounds like a debate between designer hand bags vs. knock-offs (I don't mean wheels). It makes my man parts want to shrink up just listening to some people argue over the "real deal" vs. bang-for-the-buck. If the wheels look good and meet your daily needs, who GaS? Why waste the money unless the lower weight of the originals are what is most important for your track time. Seriously, that concern applies to maybe 0.001% of the population winning races somewhere. I drove on Rota G-force (gunmetal grey) daily for 9 years and tracked the car at Putnam Park, too. Had 0 issues with potholes or spirited driving. They were great looking wheels, just like the Advans they copied. Worth every penny, and the rest of the pennies I spent on my HPFP and a proper tune for my Mazdaspeed3. But hey, maybe I'm just not "street" enough to appreciate the design bags holding my tires to the hub...
I had Rota Subzero wheels on a Mazda because it was a copy of Racing Harts used in the World Speed Challenge cars run by Tripoint Engineering. They held up well for 6 years until I hit a massive pothole at highway speeds. I also had a very aggressive wheel cleaner that ate through the clear coat. The factory wheel would probably have fared better against the pothole but I feel like it's true for most aftermarket aluminum wheels. But even with a custom center bore to fit the Mazda hub the price and quality couldn't be beat.
Just bought a set of rotas for my 77 280z, I was mainly concerned because it is LS1 swapped and I plan on beating it pretty hard. I didn't want to spend $3k on a set of real TE's or Watanabes so for the $1k I spent I think it was worth it for the rotas, only time will tell though.
Still have my 11 yr old rotas in my lancer. Slaloms, track, everyday driving, super ugly roads and potholes here in the philippines, and it's still in one piece. Love em, and will buy another set for my MPV
Interesting video. I'm on my third set of rotas (I ran track r's and gt3's on my integra) And Ihave no complaints other than scowls from big name die hards. I've been running a set of grids on my 350z for four years without any issues whatsoever. In the end I would rather spend big money on quality power and suspension mods and spend less on visual mods that mostly just add scene points but to each his own. I also believe if you hit any wheel hard enough it will bend or crack. Just my .02 cents. Great video and keep coming with the content.
Rota bridged a gap by bringing lighter weight performance in designs that one could say were a “homage” to their original counterparts. The OG slipstream was a take off the regamaster but was 1/3 - 1/4 the price. Weight different between the two? Maybe 2 lbs on 15”. Rota allowed the budget enthusiast to keep on and enjoy their hobby. Fresh shoes could be had for $600 which looked like those TE37s at $400 each. I would argue that rota allowed the new age, modified car culture to proliferate and grow. The modification options for my frs far outweigh what was available for my MR2 back in the day. Screw the haters; thanks to rota, thanks to Honda, thanks to the game changers that have paved the way for companies like fitment industries.
I run Rota Fighter 10s on my E210 Corolla and planning to get a set of Rota MXRs for my E90 320i cause I don't want to spend a lot for Rays or BBSs and it makes the cars look good for a fraction of the price but with great quality
Just bought 16x7 rota slipstreams, and they are just way better than stock rims. I ran over a curb by accident, and they didn't have any bend whatsoever. I was just over 20kph, really impressive.
i bought my Rota grid for only 15,000 pesos (USD 300) brand new straight from their factory in south of metro manila. 4 years later 0 issues despite the fact of how "smooth" the roads here in manila are.
Had Rita G-forces for two years and not one issue. Plus who copied who work meisters s1? Or SSR SP1? Those designs are essentially the same but no one calls them out because they’re top of the line wheels
Been running Rota Boost's 16x7's for about seven years. Damned good looking and very strong, also saved nearly 48 lbs. of unsprung weight by switching over to Falken 615k tires and these Rota wheels!
Late comment but Rota user here!! I have Rota GT3 wheels on my Honda GK5 Jazz/Fit manual and they’re running pretty good especially on our shitty roads here in the Philippines!! Never broke down a single once!! Btw, I have that GT3 Rota on white btw!!
I currently live in Japan and want to ship my car to Germany real soon. The problem is, I have legit TE37's on it. Super light weight, did Gymkhana with them, no problems since 2006. But once imported to Germany, the wheels have to go as they are not legal in Germany. Missing papers about the structural integrity. Rota's are allowed, as they can proof the integrity with tests and PLM.
There is no heaven for car lovers on earth. Japan has awesome cars, but toll roads and parking is expensive. Germany has the Autobahn with long sections of limit free driving, but castrates every car lovers dreams with strict rules, the US have the 30 years import rule, nearly impossible to get RHD cars on Dubai roads (unless you have influence as it seems.)
Australia has super strict modification rules, expensive parts, poorly built roads, expensive fuel, car destroying weather, and a huge negative social bias towards modified cars, but the good thing is that outside the cities there are so few police for such a large amount of land that if you are sensible about it, you can pretty much do what you want and get away with it
I had a set of Rota IK-R in a 5x100 18x9.5 et38. Abused the living shit out of the wheels over a long period of time but it finally started to fail when i hit a bump at like 60-70km/h bombimg a back road. The rims after a few days developed a crack (which i only started to notice when my tpms told me i was losing about 1-2 psi a day) i honestly thought a rim crack would have just leaked all the air out. Tl:dr they are pretty decent wheels and would run them probably on a daily. But boy were they heavy.
I just want to share my experience of rota wheels. I was once a hater of rota to be honest, all because of the issue of them copying designs from other wheel makers, but then i had a friend who bought a set for his project car and he let me drive it around in the track, i found it to be adequate in terms of quality, weight, and specially its price, having this experience made me think twice about getting a set for myself. long story short, now i'm running a rota recce on my daily driver and they are perfect for my style of driving which is usually just casual driving and some track days on the side, plus you're really not going to break the bank considering the price point, for someone who's looking to just buy their first after market wheels rota is definitely one of the brands you should look into, quality wise they are certified so they are relatively safe to use.
I bought a bugeye WRX as a project car about eighteen months ago. Came with a set of Rota wheels on it ... 'Gravel' model, I think. Anyway, I left the wheels on it because they looked pretty good, figured I'd replace them when I need to. Still going strong, still look good. Don't understand all the anti-Rota sentiment.
I don't get the hate, honestly. There's only so many designs you can come up with that would be structurally safe, and there's been thousands upon thousands of different wheel designs already. A 20% change to an existing design is probably way harder than it sounds.
Bought my WRX and it came with a set of Rotas on it. Doesnt bother me at all. As long as they look good and hold up and drop a few lbs of unsprung weight... I doubt 95% of the people who mock people on "reps" aint on real wheels either. Not to mention, "real wheels" is such a misnomer.
Can't fault my GT3's, I got them second hand, I do have a bit of a crack on the one spoke, but tbf, they have taking a beat in from the crap Welsh roads, and then me smashing kerbs at the track
In the Philippines, there’s a saying: “Gaya Gaya Puto Maya!” It generally means “copycat”. So don’t be surprised when things coming from that country are imitations of the original yet they can’t come up with their own. Just saying from experience living there.
they're very similar but the spokes on the SSRs go to the barrel and the WM don't. I would say the Advan RS and SSR GTV02s are closer. But regardless they're replicas.
I got a set of Rota ss10s on my frs and I love the way they look and the size is bigger so it makes my car look alot better as well, I don’t know how to tell a fake from a real one, but I’m pretty sure they’re real
I have Rota GT3's on my shit box and I've hit potholes like a mother fucker, live on a dirt road, launch, do burn outs, etc.. and they've never taken any damage. Not a single crack, dent or bend. If you're looking for some decently strong wheels for just about anything that are also pretty lightweight and super affordable: Rota.
real wheels aren't that expensive just get some used I recommend garage attack, wheel seek, kaiju imports, wheel club, and selling wheels are some great places to get real wheels sup 1000 to even 250 for four
It's like they didn't even watch the damn V I D E O . "Fake wheels" they're affordable and have a way better rep than XXRS. if you wanna ball out on 1k 2k 3k wheels and eat ramen for 3 months go for it 😂 just so you can feel cool or accepted you can have dope 3k wheels and I still be a POS . I'll plan on buying some rota ss10 (Advan reps) 🍺🍺🍺🍺 cheers
*Rota wheels are cheap ways to get stylish wheels on your car* "Yeah, but I don't think they are durable or reputable-" *Dorikin supports Rota wheels and uses them on drift cars* "SIGN ME UP"
You know your phone spies on you when you buy some Rota Slipstreams. Then, the next day, you get this video on your recommended list on RUclips. Well played CIA/FBI....well played....
replica wheels are replica wheels... end of story. Buy it if the price is worth it to you... If you want to support the manufacturer for making quality stuffs, buy the real deal.
tbh I'd rather support myself by not starving to death to get fancy wheels, but of course you could say that's self-centered of me. If you have the money to do it and want to, no complaints will come from my way. Though I'd like to remind that if one decides to hate on those who don't support the manufacturer for making quality stuff, he should for the same logic hate on those who buy used.
There are only so many ways to design the look of a wheel. It's a circular rim with a hub in the middle and spokes connecting the center piece to the outer rim. How many more possibilities can there really be? In nearly 50 years of modern wheel design, EVERY company has made something which very closely resembles wheels made by someone else. If you removed the center caps and any other branding from the 2,000 best selling / most popular aftermarket wheels, it'd become immediately apparent how much design overlap there really is between manufacturers and only hardcore enthusiasts would be able to attach the correct brand or model to the right wheel with any degree of accuracy. Obviously there are some designs which totally stand out but for the most part, wheel manufacturers have figured out what people like and now they just remake the same designs with very minor tweaks.
I disagree with the assertion that people only criticize Rota for copycatting, (As opposed to their quality.) "Exploding Rotas" is a classic meme if you go back into history on NASIOC, Vortex, etc. I even saw mention of it on non-automotive forums.
Rotas held it down for the car community back in the day. When you're a broke college student and you get that financial aid check in the mail, you go to Rota
now adays everyone in the car community is rich or just want to pretend to be

thats why you replace the wheels on your toyota

Means a lot Phillip, thank you so much!
*ROTA WHEELS IS FROM PHILIPINES*
Damn, I learned that Rota originated where my family represent #PinoyPride🇵🇭🇵🇭
Intro was “LIT” 😂🔥👍🏼👌🏼
:D
Fitment Industries I died 😂
Fitment Industries bro the name of the tracks please
I've had both XXRs and rotas. Not one issue either...also loved the Riceland coilovers 🤷🏼♂️
I have rota kensei's on my 280z . going on 4 years of use, so far so good . Even the paint finish is holding up great in the florida 🌞
I have a set of Rota Gtr 18" on my 300zx z32 with federal tires and have been running them for about five years, no problems so far!
Drop it in our gallery!

Thanks man! You should defiantly add your Z to our gallery!

Thanks for the input! We would agree they definitely stepped their game up!
the cut scenes in the video are hilarious
2:15 ffs XD hahah
:d
I just bought a set of rota grids and i am perfectly happy with them
Yeah, they make sorta replicas...but at least they produce a handful of bolt patterns (PCD) for a specific wheel, unlike other wheel manufacturers.
Do watercooled industries !!!
We'll do some research and see if we can gather enough information Max :D
uh oh....
Lol first time they didn't say they will add it to their list and I think I know why..
please do. WCI
Always great to see Philippines represent. Thanks Fitment.
Thanks for the information. I now will only get them straight from Rota. Works for me because I have ALWAYS wanted a set of P45Rs for my Golf R.
This wheel series is 🔥🔥🔥
Thanks B wing! Have you seen all of them?
Been running Rota Boost's 16x7's for about seven years. Damned good looking and very strong, also saved nearly 48 lbs. of unsprung weight by switching over to Falken 615k tires and these Rota wheels!
Glad to hear man! Load your car up to our gallery! www.fitmentindustries.com/add
The system is not uploading my picture or information. Tried adding my ride and info three times.
Are you on mobile or desktop?
Late comment but Rota user here!! I have Rota GT3 wheels on my Honda GK5 Jazz/Fit manual and they’re running pretty good especially on our shitty roads here in the Philippines!! Never broke down a single once!! Btw, I have that GT3 Rota on white btw!!
I had a set of Rota D2 17x8.5
Great wheels, never had an issue with them.
But why is ROTA on Forza?? hahaha!!!
Really 😯😯😯
There is no heaven for car lovers on earth. Japan has awesome cars, but toll roads and parking is expensive. Germany has the Autobahn with long sections of limit free driving, but castrates every car lovers dreams with strict rules, the US have the 30 years import rule, nearly impossible to get RHD cars on Dubai roads (unless you have influence as it seems.)
Australia has super strict modification rules, expensive parts, poorly built roads, expensive fuel, car destroying weather, and a huge negative social bias towards modified cars, but the good thing is that outside the cities there are so few police for such a large amount of land that if you are sensible about it, you can pretty much do what you want and get away with it
I'd go for rotas instead of those counterfeit wheels from china and thailand that breaks when you run them in the track or some nasty pothole.
Dont forget O.Z.
Oh we wont...
oh sweet id loved to hear about them
I had a set of Rota IK-R in a 5x100 18x9.5 et38.
I'm getting ready for my first car, which will hopefully be an Integra, looking to put some Rota Slips on it.
I bought a bugeye WRX as a project car about eighteen months ago. Came with a set of Rota wheels on it ... 'Gravel' model, I think. Anyway, I left the wheels on it because they looked pretty good, figured I'd replace them when I need to. Still going strong, still look good. Don't understand all the anti-Rota sentiment.
you could never go wrong with ROTA
Ssr wheels please bae?
Added to the docket ;)
Fitment Industries ganggang 🤙🏽🤘🏽
Deadass got curious about ROTA Wheels because I'm considering about getting p45r
I do have Rota wheels on my 2001 Civic. So far, so good..
Love all the hilarious little clips! I run Rotas no problems ever.
Thanks Jim! Load some pics to our gallery! www.fitmentindustries.com/add
Can't fault my GT3's, I got them second hand, I do have a bit of a crack on the one spoke, but tbf, they have taking a beat in from the crap Welsh roads, and then me smashing kerbs at the track
Love my Rota's. Been a great wheel for a few years.
What do you have them on?
Fitment Industries 2014 Ford Focus ST
In the Philippines, there’s a saying: “Gaya Gaya Puto Maya!” It generally means “copycat”. So don’t be surprised when things coming from that country are imitations of the original yet they can’t come up with their own. Just saying from experience living there.
I've owned a couple sets of Rotas in the past. Never had any issue with them. And hey, they were manufactured in my motherland! Gotta support my ppls!
Good to hear!
Fake and replica, people need to learn the difference. Also people like to ignore SSR S1s and Work Meisters S1s being the same wheel design.
they're very similar but the spokes on the SSRs go to the barrel and the WM don't. I would say the Advan RS and SSR GTV02s are closer. But regardless they're replicas.
And Rota D2
I got a set of Rota ss10s on my frs and I love the way they look and the size is bigger so it makes my car look alot better as well, I don’t know how to tell a fake from a real one, but I’m pretty sure they’re real
How did you purchase the rotas I found the website but no way to purchase on the website
I have Rota slipstreams on my fiesta st and they are great!
Most popular choice
I have a set on my RX7....all 4 have major cracks in them and the tires no longer hold air. Total fucking trash
Great channel. I know all if the names but not so much on the history. This is perfect!
Your welcome!
real wheels aren't that expensive just get some used I recommend garage attack, wheel seek, kaiju imports, wheel club, and selling wheels are some great places to get real wheels sup 1000 to even 250 for four
One of the best intros i watched
ayy!
Nice bro! Just got myself GRID V classics, i love the real ones but im not rich to just spend 4k like it was nothing
*Rota wheels are cheap ways to get stylish wheels on your car*
"Yeah, but I don't think they are durable or reputable-"
*Dorikin supports Rota wheels and uses them on drift cars*
"SIGN ME UP"
You know your phone spies on you when you buy some Rota Slipstreams. Then, the next day, you get this video on your recommended list on RUclips. Well played CIA/FBI....well played....
Exact same thing here. Slipstreams and everything haha
@@frostedjedi Technology is a blessing and a curse lol
BOI! 👀😂
Same shit just happen to me
replica wheels are replica wheels... end of story. Buy it if the price is worth it to you...
If you want to support the manufacturer for making quality stuffs, buy the real deal.
That's always up to the consumer, right?!
YES haha people get to buy whatever they want to buy with their money. That's the whole point of freedom!! lol
tbh I'd rather support myself by not starving to death to get fancy wheels, but of course you could say that's self-centered of me. If you have the money to do it and want to, no complaints will come from my way.
Though I'd like to remind that if one decides to hate on those who don't support the manufacturer for making quality stuff, he should for the same logic hate on those who buy used.
that intro was actually hilarious
I just ordered my Rota Bronze Fighter yesterday 😁🍻
Rota is appaerntly Filipino,I am so proud
Yeah! Rota means "way or path" in the Philippines or in Tagalog.
Saan ang rota mo? 😉
Thumbs up for the Matrix thumbnail.
Well said!
Surprised noone has said do Vossens yet. Or maybe they have and I just missed it. idk
Added it to our list :D
I'd rather buy rota ik-r than buy a te37 rep. Same looks, but rota is tested so it's safer. Pretty sure it'll be lighter than a rep wheel too
I miss my rota c10 (Mugen MF10L) I even had them painted white with the Mugen stickers on my em1 😂
Drop some pics in our gallery!

So Rota wheels aren't bad wheels but your company doesn't carry them? Disappointing if I'm being honest. I wanted some RT5's for my daily.
I disagree with the assertion that people only criticize Rota for copycatting, (As opposed to their quality.) "Exploding Rotas" is a classic meme if you go back into history on NASIOC, Vortex, etc. I even saw mention of it on non-automotive forums.
5:37 Best part..
Rota wheels here in the phil are the replica experts even the mugen gp and mugen rnr. Also the spoon sw388
Spoon SW388 is basically a re-branded Regamaster Evo
I did not know these rims were from the phillipines. In fact Im FILIPINO 🇵🇭🇵🇭🇵🇭
