If we get Maker 3 on the next Switch, the big change I want to see is the flagpole. I want to be able to move it, be able to have more than one, be able to change it size or orientation and have different colors or looks for it and be able to remove it if I have a clear condition so clearing the condition would finish the stage and lastly have a fake one that just vanish when you touch it.
If we have the option of a ? Mark ball or a big or small axe or a standard flag pole or a secret exit flag pole. Also exit pipes. If we could do warp zones.
That sounds nice, but if we do eventually get Super Mario Maker 3, I also want to see the following changes and additions: 1. More extra game styles (Super Mario Bros. 2, Super Mario Bros. Wonder, etc.) 2. More enemies (Chargin’ Chucks, Fire Bros. in all game styles, Boomerang Bros., Fuzzies, etc.) 3. More course elements (Scale Lifts, Sloped Semisolid Platforms, Chain-Link Fences, Paddle Platforms, etc.) 4. More course themes (Beach, Volcano, Mountain) 5. More playable characters (Princess Peach, Princess Daisy, Yellow Toad, etc.) 6. More power-ups (Mini Mushroom, Ice Flower, Bubble Flower, Mega Mushroom, Gold Flower, etc.) If Princess Peach is going to be playable in the New Super Mario Bros. U style, then her playable assets from Super Mario Run could be adapted to work with the NSMBU style. Also, Princess Peach’s playable voice clips in the NSMBU style would most likely be the same as Peachette’s clips from New Super Mario Bros. U Deluxe. As for Mario and Luigi’s voice clips, I wonder if they’ll remain the same or if they’ll be re-recorded by Kevin Afghani to be consistent with the Super Mario Bros. Wonder game style. For Nintendo’s MAR10 Day 2024 presentation, one of Mario’s lines from the New Super Mario Bros. series was re-recorded by Kevin Afghani. That could possibly be a hint that if Nintendo does release Super Mario Maker 3, all of Mario and Luigi’s voice clips from the New Super Mario Bros. U and Super Mario 3D World game styles might be re-recorded by Kevin Afghani.
With super worlds we need to be able to name them and we also need to be able to turn on keep power up through out levels in super world. Maybe have toad houses that give items.
Forget the comment the look on his face of pure fear and panic setting in and then the realization of having to play that hot garbage again.....classic
@@chriscarlton4844I don’t think you realize the effort it takes to look back 4-2 and come back this level and edit a pointing hand with a *ding* for every missing thing
I legally can't raise my hand to that question because I've never played the original 4-2. I ironically HAVE played 1-1 because, you know, MM2 is full of them.
I watched you a LOT when I was pregnant with my daughter. And recently she’s been enjoying watching you before nap times. She giggles and giggles the whole time we’re watching until she falls asleep. Thank you for the years of enjoyment you’ve given me and now the enjoyment you give my daughter 💗

3:12 define "for babies" because there's still a good amount of enemies and hazards present; plus if the 'baby' was to be in the place of Mario, that makes it even worse. I'd say the level after that was moreso childproof than that or any other of these levels lol
Dave plays "Slow and Steady" goes fast and panicks a lot XD Dave, the game's with Mario, not Sonic! The level required Snake, though! Dave? Dave?! DAAAAAAVE!!
21:48 In the normal 20 second version I think you were supposed to go through the green L-shaped pipe at the end of the normal world, which puts you at the green pipe near the flag, and isn't an option in the no bricks version because there's no floor for the pipe.
I'd be interested in one of these that pulls levels of the same number, but from other games. Or even just one based around a level from a different Mario game.
The missing level COULD have had the flag missing if they were creative enough with magikoopa placement. Also, that stacked level was very creative. Edit: Also, that dark water level gave me an idea. We should start making inverse worlds where instead of but it's but . For instance, Bean Burrito but it's 1-1, 1-2, 4-2, etc. Other potential themes could be Troll but, Kaizo but, Speedrun but, etc.
When Dave was talking about Wario TTS, at first I heard GPS and started imaging Charles Martinet giving me directions. (Nothing against Kevin Afghani; my brain hasn't set him to the new default yet)
The communication error is dumb. It 100% should have a Retry option, at minimum. And you'd be able to go out of the game to troubleshoot a network error (including being able to completely reset the network stac).
about this with rasing hand. I can if we talk remakes of the original SMB, but not if we talk the NES version of the game. I had the SMB Deluxe for my gameboy color. Cleared it alot when I was a kid. Both SMB1 and Lost Levels
Im surprised dgr didn’t realize that mario was picking up the blocks in the lava level because nintendo doesn’t like having separate controls for some reason.
i can proudly and sadly admit that I never died to that jump. The proudly is cause it's true, I never died at that jump. The sadly is because i never made it to that level.
Dave played the Slow and Steady level for so long that he managed to get it down enough to get the world record. It may not be optimized, but it's also not likely to be challenged since nobody will want to try and optimize that. X-D

I’ll be satisfied with an SMB2 style.

and also putting the flagpole in subareas
With super worlds we need to be able to name them and we also need to be able to turn on keep power up through out levels in super world. Maybe have toad houses that give items.
Dave spoke, and the game responded. The game made sure Dave would get to see the level again.
That communication error has to be the funniest thing that could have happened after THAT level
especially with the comment he made right before that!

@@kennysmith8665 YESSS .. I laughed soooooo hard. I think Nintendo was watching the stream and made the com error happen lol

3:09 I love how even in the baby level, that pit is still not covered so you can die to it lol

A connection error was the hardest level all along

Level: So I heard you wanna see more of me?
That network error was heartbreaking! Right after “there’s a level I never want to play again”. Thought Nintendo pulled the world for some reason…

i shouldn't have said anything...
Im so happy to know Highlights is still around for kids today
In the second speedrun, going down the pipe actually saved 2 seconds, so i feel like he made it harder for himself
