2010 Astronomical Tours Eclipse Party musicians on Tatakoto

Hospitality by our island hosts from Tatakoto at the post eclipse party. A meal of local cuisine and some catered supplies was prepared for our guests at the home of the Island's Mayor. Local beauties danced for our group in local style with the band accompanying them. The Tatakoto hosts opened their homes for many clients for home-stay experiences, while other guests were only able to stay a few hours to watch the eclipse. Tatakoto is a very small and remote island in the Tuamotu islands of French Polynesia. Supply ships visit only about once a month, so our group flew in by special chartered air.
