The 90's will never be old 🙌 😎🤘
This ^
I don't listen to much music anymore in general... not a commentary on modern stuff... just lack of time... lifestyle... whatever. Every now and again I get one of these You Tube "reaction" videos with something I remember and pop it on... I completely forgot how awesome this album was... and how often I listened to it as a youngster. Really visceral reaction for me.
@@anniehopkins8470 you go girl 👏, but music is life, every now and then it makes it's way back in 😉
Ain’t that the truth..
But the 80's were the best!
@@jst1man what in the 80s
"This is like a hype chill song" never heard a description of bush put so perfectly lol
“Comedown” is their best song in my opinion. This whole album is perfect.
Yes!!! I loved Bush in the 90s and still love them. Their new album is good too!
Whole album is amazing, but Glycerine and Comedown are the stars.
I prefer little things
in the acoustic version !
I was 13 when this album came out. I listened to "Comedown" over and over. To say this album was influential on my life would be an understatement. This album and Live's album Throwing Copper ("I Alone", "Lightning Crashes") were the main albums that got me to start listening to Alternative Rock. I had mostly listened to Rap, R&B, and Pop prior to that. It opened up a whole new world of music to me. I even learned to play guitar because of this and went on to be in a band myself for many years. Long way for me to say it, but yes I agree that this album is perfect and "Comedown" is definitely one of their best songs (I refuse to pick just one, lol).
I never tire of Lex’s smile, however, when Brad smiles, it’s usually a good one!
"Comedown", "Glycerine," "Greedy Fly" and "Inflatable" are all amazing Bush songs. You should check them out!
Agreed
I can't ever tell if Brad is feeling the music or if it's just Lex causing him to move when she's feeling it.
It'd be a fun ride lol
@@paranoidewok6772 I feel like this has a hidden meaning... lmao.
@@BRUCEYBOY you're right lol
Gavin, the singer, is Gwen Stefani's ex husband. They have three kids. Bush rocked,🔥
My wife laughs at me because I only refer to Gavin as “The Ex Mr. Stefani”.
The guitar riff at the beginning of the song is the best one of the grunge era !!! It will definately pump you up !!
...I'll bet you get a ton of replies "Bush is not Grunge!!"...People are really cautious up in the "Grunge "label...Who the fu&k cares? ,,Its great music
LOVE BUSH. Great band. Gavin Rossdale is a great singer. That album, Sixteen Stone, and the next one, Razorblade Suitcase are 2 of my favorite albums of that era.
Finally Bush! They have such amazing songs. Also, this song was on the soundtrack of the movie Fear with Reese Witherspoon and Mark Wahlberg
Such a good movie. And the placement of this song was epic
@@justinpalmer6098 totally agree! The way the music started when the guy opened the door was genius
Here's my interpretation of the lyrics:
This is about a person that has chased material things their entire life. Their top priority was to achieve high status within society. Their 'machinehead' is reference to being a part of the societal machine. Living their life based on what society portrays as success like having an expensive car, high-paying career, big house, tons of followers on social media, etc. Bascially having the best stuff is the goal, but they soon realize that material things don't always bring happiness and purpose.
Then they have a sort of awakening as they get older. The line 'deaf, dumb and thirty' is signifying they've come to realize that there's more to life than money and status. They shifted their thinking from 'green to red'. From a 'go go go' mentality to just enjoying the ride. Maybe there was a women that helped them slow down and spark this new mentality (I felt you like electric light).
That's just my thoughts on the lyrics. I'm a fan of 90's artists like AIC, Bush & Nirvana that have ambiguous lyrics because it's up to the listener to interpret what they means. It helps you connect with the music and hits you in soul.
Cheers!
Love Bush, such an underrated band. They have a ton of great songs you can react to.
Awesome you’re getting into Bush!
Everything Zen is amazing
Bush's first three albums were all just phenomenal, IMO. When you get to Cold Contagious and Greedy Fly though... man, they were just absolutely killing it.
The look on Brad’s face when Lex asked his take on lyrics 😂 guys, Bush was one of my favourite bands when I was in 4th grade. I remember doing a project on them in school. Please react to more Bush. I’d recommend you do Comedown next. Great reaction 🙋🏻♀️👏🏼👍🏼🙌🏼💜🇨🇦
I played this cd on repeat in my dad's car with my best friend when I was 16 and we where sneaking down to the beach one weekend. Good memories thanks
Yeah thank you finally someone reacts to Bush. I love Gavin's voice, they have so many good songs.
Sixteen Stone is a fantastic album. Listen to all of it. Great songs. "Body" was not a single from the album and just heavy and awesome. "Everything Zen" I believe was the first single and it's mid 90s perfection. "Little Things" is all the grunge bands in one British alt rock song. And of course "Glycerine" made them rock stars.
You guys should react to…
Bush - Glycerine
🎸🤘
True...also a great song!
yes, doit
Bush is too often underrated, they were everywhere in the 90's. Hit after hit. And Gavin Rossdale is great! And he was married to Gwen Stefani for several years, giggity! 😁
Man, this takes me way back to my teenage years. Most definitely one of my favorite albums from 1994
And then they find Gavin Rossdale, easy on the eyes but his voice is even better.
"Glycerin" or "Everything Zen" next please, personal fav "Comedown!!"
Anything Bush especially off of Sixteen Stone, I'm down!! 👍🏽❤
I saw them live in Chicago in 2023. Very pleasantly surprised, still put on amazing show live!
My kid plays and sings this in his School of Rock school. Man it always brings and extra smile to my face.
One of the best bands of the 90’s. Their videos are really good too
Spot on. Hype chill.
This was our junior high, 7th grade, weight training day, football practice music.
The coaches blasted this in the old ass black mold infested field house. 👊🏼👍🏼😎
You guys are the only reaction page I've subscribed too. I'm not downing other pages but you guys have me revisiting my teenage years everyday
If you liked this, check out: Bush "Comedown" - actually, Bush has a bunch of great songs to check out from "Everything Zen" to "Glycerine" and probably a few others I'm forgetting right now; just don't bother trying to make sense of the lyrics... sit back and absorb the sound.
The entire Sixteen Stone album!
and Greedy Fly
I had this cd, 83 baby, and it was and still Is such a great album. Definitely one of my favorites.
This is my favorite bush song! Glad that y’all checked it out. 🔥
"Glycerine", and "Letting the Cables Sleep"and "Chemicals between Us"...good stuff, good times!
Yep. this song has been used a lot in highlight reels and sporting events. It has a ton of energy and gets you going.
Ironically a music producer told Bush after listening to their album Sixteen Stone that there was no hits on it. Boy was that guy so wrong.
My favorite band during my grunge teenage years in the 90s. Their album 16 Stone has all great songs.
I just love Bush. The first time I saw them was some New Years Eve special with them playing on a roof top somewhere in New York.
Love Bush, sooo many great songs, love Gavin awesome voice of the 90's absolutely love 90's music!! Great reactions guys!! 😊💓🤘✌️
This song has been in a lot of movies, but I know it was in "Fear" with Mark Wahlberg. "Comedown" by Bush is also in that movie. I remember when the "Sixteen Stone" album came out....it was an instant classic.
I used to write thousands of lines of code on my computer when I was a teenager listening to this album on repeat... memories
Sixteen stone is bush's best album by a longshot, every song, is amazing
I saw MACHINE HEAD and got all excited…..then realised it was just the song by Bush. How about reacting to MACHINE HEAD - A NATION ON FIRE PleasepleaseIthankyouILoveyoubye 😁✌️🎶🤘
Same here 😂
Same
Hell yes! I rarely see anyone reacting to Machine Head.
Do -God Machine - by Acid Bath
Ahhhhhh hype-chill, thank you. I've listened to this song like 8000 times throughout my life and u nailed it. Exactly.
Love me some Bush! Saw them in concert about 5 years ago, and Gavin was so cool, all over the amphitheater, even up near the grass area, and didn't seem at all concerned about his safety, I've never seen someone interact with the audience that much. One of their newer songs - The Sound of Winter - is my favorite, it's not at heavy as this, but the lyrics are amazing.
This song never fails to fire me up on a bike ride or run 🔥 Thanks for the review of it!
Anything of Sixteen Stone is a banger "Comedown" next
They already did "Comedown" about 2 weeks ago..
@@4tuneagent nope
@@thesilverhawaiian5024 you are correct.. it was a different reactor.. Rob Squad played it. Yeah, it is probably Bush's best song.. they should do it.
This always his opening song at his concerts lol.ive seen them four times live and they put on a good show
90's music of ALL genres is the best and you'll never change my mind. 60's were great, some of my fav bands come from the 70's but the 90's is so vast and eclectic with more impactful groups than the 80's(subjective of course). So lucky to have grown up with so much great music!!.....and no cell phones!!
by far!!!
well i had a pager then cellphone but they were for emergencies had no data and minimal minutes
Love your lit hat Lex. Happy you enjoyed the video. My best friend is best friends with gavin rossdale the Bush singer. I was lucky enough to meet him back stage and he's a really nice guy. Hope you can react to more Bush songs!
Back in the day Gavin was killing it on every level. This amazing album came out in 1994 and a few years later he married my 90's crush, Gwen Stephanie. Had me jealous AF, lol...
Your first time hearing Bush and you chose my favorite song! I love you for that! This has such a great groove to it. Bush is a very diverse band, so I hope you check out something else from them. Greedy Fly is different, but also a cool vibe. And Glycerine is haunting if you’re in the mood for something slower. Great band!
this might be my favorite song. i can throw this on full blast and the 14 hour work day flies by
Bush Glycerine MTV Spring Break Rocks 1996 --- A must watch. One of the most memorable music performances I've seen. After being told not to perform because of the pouring rain, Gavin Rossdale walks out with just his guitar then pours his heart out for the fans.
This is one of the best driving songs of all time. Nothing like crushing a 2 to 3 gear shift at 7500 rpm with this on at full blast. It makes even a slow car seem fast.
16 stone is easily in my top 5 favourite albums of all time.
To me this has big 90s feels.
Sixteen Stone is an epic album! Still listen regularly to this day. Thanks for the awesome reaction ❤️
Very cool you guys. She was rockin out!
Great choice!
Fun 90's band with some fun grungy hits.
Comedown, Greedy fly, Cold contagious, Chemical between us are some of them. Keep it up!
I still listen to Bush’s 16 Stone to fhis day.
Great song. Love the vid - thank you.
To put it in perspective: When I was a teenager in the 90s listening to "classic rock," a lot of that stuff wasn't as old then as this is now.
I've fucking love 90s music.
I had this one on CD and I still have it on my iPod! Banger!
saw Bush at Red Rocks with Godsmack and Bush blew them away!!
I love this channel anyway but the last few days ya'll have been doing some awesome stuff!
Love watching you guys; you are authentic and open to most everything. Lex... you are a woman after my own heart... with every song .... when that breakdown comes... you are jammin!!!
This song is STILL on my playlist. I think I was early 20's when this came out. Rocked it in the car. Volume went UUUP!🙂
Watched Bush at Woodstock 99 in the rain was awesome - worth a look at it - great pick
This is the kind of shit I was downloading on Napster back in 1999 - 2000. Love watching people react to it the first time.
Greedy fly, mouth, comedown oh man can’t wait. You guys are the best. Much love.
They have some pretty awesome tracks check out the following:
Letting the cables sleep
Greedy fly
Glycerine
Comedown
The chemicals between us
Everything zen
Alien
Ex girlfriend
Little things
Swallowed
I'm a definite 90,s kid... One of my personal all time fav bands💯💯💯
90s the best era for everything
I love the way Lex's head bounces in rhythm to the music.
Seeing this video reminded me how much I liked their other song Glycerine back in the day. I wore that one out.
Awesome I was suggesting on couple things you should check them out. Bush was and is still my favorite band since sixteen stone came out and Machine Head was one of my favorite songs.
That was one of my favorite songs back in 94-95. And my favorite band of the '90s
yes!!!! Great job 👏👍👌
This was used at football games for kickoff for like 20 hrs. But I love watching You, incessantly try to understand the lyrics. They are stream of consciousness almost like add lyrics a lot of times they are abstract.
Man, last couple days...suffice it to say you guys been picking sum good shit.
After everyone got past the fact that Bush has the best looking dude singer ever, we all realized this debut album was INCREDIBLE. At least 4-5 songs that will be classics forever.
This one of the first songs I learn with my 2 friends to play and sing. It had a great riff imo.
Little Things, Everything’s Zen, Come Down, Greedy Fly, Alien, etc.
You’ve probably heard this on shows and movies. For some reason, one that pops in my head is “An American Werewolf In Paris”. Early 2000’s. But it’s been in loads. Was a really popular song.
This song will always be timeless 🤘🏼🎸
Bush was actually one of my first concerts I’ve ever went to. Definitely check out there song Glycerine. I would suggest the studio version first, but their performance from MTV spring break in 1996 in the pouring rain was an amazing performance to watch.
"Breathe In, Breath Out."
-- Mr. Miyagi
Every NHL game I went to, they played this song. Such a classic. Everything Zen and Glycerine are a couple other great tunes to check by them...
This whole album kills it
What a great song. I've never heard this before. I forgot what a great band they are.
I think I've heard this song in a few 90s movies....it was an extremely popular song back then
🤘🤘❤🤘🤘 Oh excellent band!!! So great live too!!! I also echo the calls for Come Down and Glycerine!!! 😁❤✌🏼
B*U*S*H* anyone remember those shirts? Used to see kids wearing them all the time in school. Another good reaction, bush Is such a great band
This is also the intro song for Columbus Blue Jackets home games.
This whole album was gold
This song almost got me a speeding ticket.
Saw them in Santiago, Chile in the 1990s and Gwen was there too
Saw them a few years back front row was epic
The 90's was a different vibe man. No social media, good music, and come home when the lights go out. What time to be alive.
One of my favorite bands
Bush typically got dismissed as a more mainstream version of grunge, of being imitators of Nirvana and Soundgarden, but not for nothing, I still say this song slaps, especially the chorus.
Good choices lately guys!
'Warm Machine' is epic and has a filthy guitar tone
First time I saw Bush in concert was (I'm fairly certain) Union Station Indianapolis, St. Patrick's Day, 1995. I remember the radio station hosting the event was handing out "leprecondoms" to attendees.
I got stuck in the crowd right in front of a bank of speakers. Thought I was going to go deaf. My right ear was sore the rest of the night and most of the next day.
You guys are getting into some good stuff! Keep it up! .. More Bush: Everything Zen and Comedown
