the main question is why should present body go through so many downs in this life for past desires or karma? why cant it end in the that life and body itself. Now i don't even know what i was in the past life and what bad or good i did. Yet i have to face many challenges without questions or by assuming its past life karma. Its not fair to give punishments or challenges to something current body can't even remember or access at the moment..
Beautifully expressed question. The body might change but the Jiva or the individual soul that transmigrates is the same. So even though you might not remember, the samskaras are embedded in your consciousness, so how you think and act right now is a result of your past. If karma could end with the body, then every sinful deed would be forgiven at death, and every meritorious deed would go unrewarded. What I believe is that God's justice is fair and equal to all beings. It is the law of existence itself. Another way of dealing with your question is to ask yourself who is this 'I' who is dealing with past and present Karma. That could help you find answers through introspection. -Kanchi
We may have got life we wanted but we feel dissatisfied and unhappy. Sometimes it seems impossible to be positive and motivate to work. For example- people with good pay corporate jobs (including me) are not happy, even though we are privileged. How to work on this.
There are two ways to deal with this, the direct way is of introspection and self-enquiry. Ask yourself who is unhappy and try to find who it is within you, who is unhappy, or you may even seek out this feeling of 'unhappiness' within you and find it's source. This is called the Nivritti Marga or the path of introversion. The other way is to share your privileges with those around you who may not be as privileged as you are. Let them partake in your prosperity, in turn you will find joy in their happiness. This is Pravriti Marga- or the path of extroversion. These two ways are not exclusive, you may practise both simultaneously. Hope you find what you are looking for. -Kanchi
I slightly disagree (but appreciate this talk). I think it is imperative to believe and know that you are fully capable of achieving your desires. And you can. Once you achieve them, you then realize these desires aren't the ones that give you happiness. That's why Bharata muni after he achieves everything - goes into penance. Your birth in this world is rooted in some kind of desire. You can't suppress it or be in denial of it. Get it sorted. And move forward towards greater goals of enlightenment. In fact, when you try to achieve these worldly things, you recognize and work through your subconscious patterns that are limiting you. That prevented you from achieving these in your past lives. You had to shed them, anyway. So you can look at the process of pursuit spiritually as well, where you ask the divine to aid you to grow spiritually in the process of this pursuit; and doing the pursuit in a manner that is non-attached and with love.
Very well expressed. Desire and manifestation of desires has it's role to play in the overall growth of the individual soul. But from the standpoint of Jnana- the Rshis profess it to be an illusion that finally has to be shed. - Kanchi

Everything is just hypothesis. No one can prove any of that is real.
