Finally! The unexplainable explained in a way laypeople can understand! Thank you, Ajahn! 🙏🏼🌹
If only all his talks would go viral!
That is to say that anyone were to listen to his talks (or those of his brethren) with their open hearts, and put just one of his many suggestions to the test; to experience the correctness of the processes he extolls, they would be pleasantly surprised at the improvement in their quality of life now. And with time they would see that one improvement leads to more. Of course, a wise person who sees that he has shown them one good thing would want to see if the other things he has shown them work as well. Then that person would be on the path to a peaceful life, a happy life, with less and less suffering regardless of their circumstances, until eventually the wise one would know these things that Ajahn Sumedho says now are those that the Buddha said over 2500 years ago. The wise one would know that this is the path of the deathless, the path of nirvana. The wise one would want to share their experience just as Ajahn does so that all beings would enjoy the freedom from suffering which we inflict upon ourselves with such abandon. All in the name of progress, keeping up with the Jones’, usw.
Then again, I only know what I’ve experienced my self of these teachings, and that is that I’ve yet to find one idea presented that didn’t improve my quality of life here and now so long as I earnestly followed the instructions.
Beware the nature of the way we’ve grown up with this “Monkey Mind” that will leave its duties to think of other things and ruin the experiment to see if Ajahn is right.
I heartily suggest giving just one idea an earnest effort at the least. Then his teachings may indeed go viral, in you. And you will find yourself being fine when everyone else is in a panic. May you be free from anger. May you be free from ill will. May you be free from physical suffering. May you be free from mental suffering. May you be well. May you be happy. May you be peaceful.
This may go viral. Or not
good point
