Great reaction. This was a compilation video with clips from several different performances of the song at different concerts. The biggest arena (you said how big it was) was the Tokyo Dome - 55,000 people and they sold it out 2 nights running. 'Headbanger' is about a girl going to her first concert on her 15th birthday, but 15 is also when compulsory education ends in Japan, so she is realising life will never be the same and her first 15 years passed by so quickly. She is etching this special night of her 15th into her heart so she will never forget. At shows on or near their own 15th birthdays in 2014 half way through the song Su handed the mic and stand to Yui (in Paris) and Moa (in Cologne) and they finished the second half of the song as lead vocalist while Su stepped seamlessly into their place doing the choreo. Only fancam videos exist from those performances, but the same thing happened in 2019 on Moa's 20th birthday (with an appropriate change of lyric to "...this special night of my 20..."). If you want a deep dive and you want to know their history there is a very good guide you can do a reaction to - but it is about 40 minutes long. It was made by CrypticMisery and is "Everything you need to know about Babymetal". That explains who everybody is, how they started and so on and will take you through to about April 2021 ... we can explain what has happened since then for you.
The best video if you want to learn where Babymetal came from, and more, is made by CrypticMisery. It's called "Everything You Need To Know About BABYMETAL - A BABYMETAL Guide (UPDATED)" and it's always fun watching reactions to it because of their unique history.

The metal is metal, the band can play it live and the young lady can sing and they have great energy on stage and they can deliver a stage show if they so choose. Hard to beat, at least for me, as someone who really likes female vocals and rock/metal.
Nice reaction. I always chuckle to myself when a reactor puts on a Babymetal song and says, "they're ready". He he. You just can't be ready for that. Babymetal seem like their shows will be dance and lights. Then they go and do something on an epic level of craziness. Everyone wants to go to a show they won't be able to forget. Put it on your bucket list. Babymetal is it. This song is about going to your first metal concert at 15 by yourself. Before 15 you are not allowed to go to a concert by yourself. Making 15 a big deal there. 20 is also a big thing there. Much like 21 in the USA. Now imagine if Babymetal was the first concert you went to. Ruined for life. Luckily Babymetal is still doing shows and you can enjoy top notch performances by them wherever they go. Moa's birthday is July 4th. And it's simply a must react to at this point for her birthday. You must do Moabanger from the legend M concert for Moa's 20th birthday. Please do the full version of the song. Gives a much better impact of the things that happen during the performance. The foxhole is deep and full of surprises.

👍 👍 Where they came from? Again: BabyMetal began in 2010 there were Suzuka Nakamoto age 12 Moa Kikuchi and Yui Mizuno (Yui left in 2018 due to health reasons). Both Moa and Yui were 11 years old when the group began. Themed around school life (they attended regular school as well) the girls would learn and train at vocals, dancing, public speaking and etiquette, etc., graduate at age 15 and then move onto whatever entertainment path they chose or that suited their talents. Key Kobayashi was a music producer for Amuse and heard Suzuka sing at age 9 and was impressed with her strong vocals and stage presence. Kobayashi was a fan of heavy metal but believed that the genre had become stale and tired (especially in Japan) with metal bands getting old Kobayashi believed the genre needed to be reborn (BabyMetal means the birth of a new metal genre). Kobayashi felt that Suzuka had the ability to front a metal band and that her vocals and presence could withstand the metal guitars and drums. The fusion of Jpop and Metal began. He placed Moa and Yui as backup singers/dancers and a phenomenon was about to result. At first Amuse showed no interest and the girls had only financing from Kobayashi. They performed at strip malls and small venues using clothes borrowed from friends and family. No money for a real band they had friends dressed in homemade skeleton costumes pretending to play instruments to a backtrack. They became a sensation (these young ladies paid their dues). Amuse saw the potential and in 2012 hired the best session musicians Japan had to offer (The Kami Band) who tours with them today (now includes world class musicians from the USA for tours outside of Asia). If you choose to explore more of BabyMetal I suggest reacting to LIVE performance videos as this is where they shine. They have over 50 LIVE songs/performances and each one is different. My first year going to Aftershock (rock/metal festival weekend in Sacramento), Babymetal were there and I didn’t know who they were, but it was boiling hot, they were wearing long sleeved vinyl-looking outfits and still gave it their all and got a lot of the crowd going. I don’t know much about them, but they were impressive that day for sure 🔥
Keep the babymetal reactipns coming! If you haven't done it yet, take on Babymetal Death Legend 1997 Also take a look at Otoboke Beaver, an all female Japanese band. Don't light my fire is a good start.
Megitsune (music video, hands down best song all time, live version isn't as good). Rondo of Nightmare with Mischiefs of God intro Budokan live (musically the best live show for me). Road of resistance live in Japan (not my favorite song, but the live show is pretty epic)
probably the only Babymetal song with 5 versions: - the "normal" one you reacted here - a Moa version for her 15th birthday - a Yui version for her 15th birthday - a, some people call it a dubsteb version, after the Ave Maria intro - and a Moa Version for her 20th birthday 🤘🦊🤘

Funnily enough this is NOT the only BABYMETAL song performed more than once during a concert. They performed the Night of 15 mix and the regular versions of "Headbanger" twice at Legend D and Legend 1997. But the real oddity is "Ijime, Dame, Zettai" which only has one version and was performed twice at Legend Z (opening and closing the show). 😁
If you want to do a deep dive Karen Girls 'Over the Future'. It is Suzuka Nakamoto in her previous group before Babymetal when she was 10-11 years old. There is also a Babymetal guide by Cryptic Misery that is great. Also Babymetal covered Over the Future. If you want to do both versions. The Babymetal cover is a metal version. The original is a pop rock song for a children's anime.
Loved watching this react, thank you. I was in the same place about a year ago, saw a few of their songs/performances and was completely taken with how fun it was and how good it was, still watching and finding more at every chance. This is my favorite "about babymetal" video, its a couple of years old so you dont get more recent history, but it goes nicely into their beginnings. It's also quite fun. ruclips.net/video/E9xRiOBG82w/видео.html

Headbanger (Babymetal song):-
"Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!" (ヘドバンギャー!!, Hedobangyā!!) is a single by the Japanese heavy metal band Babymetal. Released in Japan on July 4, 2012 in promotion for the album Sakura Gakuin 2012 Nendo: My Generation, the single serves as the third single from the debut album Babymetal. It is also the band's first solo audio release to be released commercially.
•Single: Babymetal.
•Album: Babymetal and Sakura Gakuin 2012. •Nendo: My Generation.
•Language: Japanese.
•Released: July 4, 2012.
•Genre: Power Metal, Heavy Metal.
•Length: 14:44.
•Label: Juonbu.
•Songwriter: Edometal, Nakametal, Narasaki.
•Producer: Kobametal.
•Narametal: (arrangement).
Babymetal singles chronology:-
"Babymetal / Kiba of Akiba": (2012)
"Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!": (2012)
"Ijime, Dame, Zettai": (2013)
Background and release:-
Unlike previous tracks released by the band, which had her vocal recorded in segments within the songs, Nakamoto had her lines recorded in a single take several times. She had been told to sing and find a story within the music. By the time she had comprehended the story behind the lyrics, she grew capable of singing the entire song naturally. When Mizuno and Kikuchi listened to her shouting "Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!" for the first time, they felt as if they had seen another cool side of her, surprised by the vocal power. Additionally, the single introduced the members to the whispering style of singing, with the A-side's "Kiero!" (Disappear!) and the B-side's "Uki Uki Midnight". Kobametal was inspired to use it to contrast traditional death growls.
"Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!" was announced as a single on April 27, 2012, with a release date set for July 7, 2012. The single was released in two versions: a standard edition, available via CD and digital formats, and a physical limited Hedo-ban ("Head edition"), which contains a CD and a "neck corset" (actually a cervical collar) for headbanging training.[5] Both editions of the single feature the songs "Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!" and "Uki Uki ★ Midnight" (ウ・キ・ウ・キ★ミッドナイト, "Exhilarating Midnight"), along with instrumental versions (labeled as "Air Vocal ver."). The standard version contains an enhanced CD with a bonus music video of "Babymetal Death", which can only be played on a computer. The artwork of the standard edition depicts a lyric in the song, specifically when the girl is headbanging with the corset, with the crimson-colored moon in the background, as well as the band name appearing at the top. The limited edition artwork depicts a temple scripture of the "Corset of Legend" with the song title spelled out in the middle.
Before the physical international release of the song, its title was written ambiguously as either "Head Bangya!!" or "Headbangeeeeerrrrr!!!!!", the latter of which is officially used in the international re-release of Babymetal and all future releases. The music video uploaded to the band's RUclips channel initially had the former name, though it was switched to the latter in 2015; the version uploaded by Toy's Factory consistently retained the official title.
Tekina Remix:-
During the live performances Legend "D" Su-metal Seitansai at Akasaka Blitz on December 20, 2012, and Legend "1997" Su-metal Seitansai at Makuhari Messe on December 21, 2012, a remix titled "Night of 15 mix." was performed, containing more elements of electronic music. The former took place on Suzuka Nakamoto's actual fifteenth birthday, while the latter was the opening song for the concert. Remixed by DJ'Tekina//Something, the song was later released as part of Social Reform promotional editions of the single "Ijime, Dame, Zettai", and later appeared on DJ'Tekina//Something's remix album Kawa-EDM (2016), re-subtitled as "Tekina Remix".

At their concert in Yokohama on April 1 it was announced that a permanent third member Momoko Okazaki (who is also a graduate of Sakura Gakuin and has been appearing with them LIVE since 2019) has officially become the third member.

And their beauty and performance are at the level of anime(=flawless).😍
You may not like it or more like it after you know where they coming from .trust me...
Compilation videos suck! You didn't react to BABYMETAL, you reacted to a highlight reel of BABYMETAL.
Prefer the real live versions, these fan compilation videos miss the point for me
