Hello Respected Doctor, I am 49 male from India with bilateral toe pain for many years and have been diagnosed with sero negative rheumatoid arthritis this month. All the relevant blood tests and x-rays are negative. My MRI right foot says Mild to moderate joint effusion within the smaller joints as metacarpophalangeal and interphalangeal joints involving multiple toes. My Rheumatologist doc has suggested Methotrexate once a week, folic acid, cartigen pro, pregaba nt. I am your avid follower and suscriber. Kindly share your valuable advice and opinion. Is this SNRA?? Regards and best wishes
My dear friend You mentioned the pain has been in the big toes.. Then the MRI was done only on the foot. Right? Because you mentioned (metacarpophalangeal) in the report which is actually a hand joint. Was this written by mistake? Or you also had an MRI for the hand joints? If it is only big toes, my provisional impression is that this is likely osteoarthritis of the big toes (as far as the data you provided here)
@@drhatemeleishirheumatologist Respected Doctor, my pain is in all other toes of both feet other than the big toe. The MRI was done only of my right foot. " Metacarpo" maybe a typo on the report which i will clarify with radiologist centre. I also have tenderness and pain on my lower spine and pain in joint space between my first and second finger in my right hand as of lately. Please help. TIA.
@@drhatemeleishirheumatologist Sir, i had only right foot mri done so probably there is a typo in the report. The pain is mainly in the joints of the second and third toes in both feet, no pain in both big toes. I have now started getting lower back pain with tenderness and some pain also in spaces between my fingers of the hand. I am on 5th week of methotrexate. So could this be seronegative RA?
