Keep the great content coming! I recently was promoted to a IAM Engineer position internally without any certs or a bachelor's degree. Experience and personality played a huge role in me getting my current position.

@@KevtechITSupport Kev I have a quick question, my laptop is on the low end of specs, can i use a platform like vultr or any other hosting platform online and still learn Windows Server in a correct way?
@niraj7616 you can learn for free using azure if the laptop isn't good. Entirely up to you.

I just recently graduated with an AA degree in Cybersecurity and Network Engineering but a lot of companies desire a lot of experience nor either offer an internship, do you have any other advice that could help me begin with an entry-level position? @ Ed Santana for cybersecurity. Figured out what you want to do first. Learn fundamentals and look at RUclips channels like cyberwox, TechTual Chatter, simply cyber, John Hammond.

I feel stuck. I have about 2 year’s experience in IAM sso saml etc working on several projects but apparently it’s not enough technical experience. Looked at as more so consulting. Trying to get in a mid level position around IAM

You should probably focus on the job description.

Im in the process of transferring from helpdesk analyst to IAM Administrator. I have an interview next week and I really dont know how much to negotiate. The prior guy who was doing the position was making 72k. I was gonna ask 70k, but when I looked online, the pay is actually more like 80k and I dont know what to do. Does anyone have any advice?

Hi Kevin, I just finished all of my courses the other day at WGU for the B.S. Cybersecurity and Information Assurance degree, and I'm questioning my next move. No IT experience, but I know within the Cybersecurity world, I want to work in IAM. I have no idea how I go about landing an IAM job with no experience. What should I do to gain experience to be able to apply for any IAM jobs? Should I try and get a Certified Identity Access Management certification, work on getting experience first, or skip that cert altogether? Thanks for any help you're able to provide.

@merhawi8443 group policy and active directory is used a lot if you work as a system admin. Really depends on the job.
