Can be quite secure, I've worked in the IAM field for about three years and notice that automating provisioning/deprovisioning users using an IAM system is already contributing a lot to security. When someone leaves the organisation, you need to revoke all of their access. Hard to do if this person has many accounts all over the organisation, and easy to forget. With IAM you centralize the identities of your user, and make it easier to manage them. Just make sure your IAM Platform is not compromised ;).

@@TRguy58 that's exactly were my concerns lay, if the platform gets hacked or leaks data, all information is centralized.
