It's a stand out mission, yet kind of dissapointing considering how great the environment is. After all the shealth, the very end forces cartoonish gameplay running around the fairground.
I just realised when they enter the building, sudden noises start to play of children playing and people talking. Almost similar when you stop at the playground in Half Life 2.
Russian forces actually did invade the town in 2022 in real life. Although only as part of a larger campaign to seize Kyiv, which failed. In this game (alternate history), soviet veterans opposed the russian federation in an effort to restore the USSR, but NATO forces (US and UK) worked with the russian federation (under the presidency of Boris Yeltsin) to suppress the communist uprising, but with little to no success.. The soviet ultranationalist movement was headed by Imran Zakheaf (after the events of cod; blacks ops cold war), they already obtained the equipment they needed from russian missile bases to supply their own warheads, but they didn't have the fuel they needed to make it work, hence the reason for their capture of the chernobyl power plant to recover spent fuel. British intelligence (Mi6) monitored the situation, and ordered SAS to assassinate Zakhaef on site, the assassination failed and they succeeded in obtaining the fuel, and spent the next 15 years building their own nuclear warheads, in a continued opposition against the russian federation. Zhakeaf took advantage of the US's war on terror during this time, and formed a partnership with an islamic president to combat US forces in the region, even going as far as selling one of the warheads to them. In the aftermath of the gulf war in Kuwait (2003), 8 years later, President Al Assad (fictional) continued where Saddam failed, and lead US navy forces into an ambush in a war zone, where he ordered the warhead to be detonated on site. Mi6 was able to track Assad's movement into Azerbaijan, a mutual ally of the ultranationalists. All of those events happened because Luitenant Price missed his shot..
For those of years who commented about the Russian and Ukraine war, you may want to take note that this game might of been a foreshadow for the real war considering that the background story of this game involves a civil war in Russia
As a man who is 32 and has served in the military service as a line infantry, this man used actual tactics, waiting before the captain enters and looking around spyng for enemies.
So this came out in 2007 and it says 15 years ago in the past. But 15 years in the future look you pretty much have this scenario going on weird and freaky
This game came out 12 years before the New Safe Containment was built. The old Sarcophagus is still in place over Reactor 4. While the game itself was decent, this mission's atmosphere always set it apart from every other campaign. All around were the ghosts of the disaster, victim of human error and bureaucratic stupidity. I wouldn't want to stay there longer than is absolutely necessary. Even despite the massive clean-up, the sheer volume of radiation on metallic surfaces is still dangerous. Let Chernobyl remain the graveyard of the Soviet. It is a fittingly tragic tombstone to a dark chapter in human history.
Realizing that this mission is indeed real due to recent events is surreal
"50,000 people used to live here, now it's a ghost town."
I thins every gamer play this mission this hard times, the game come to be a reality :P
Me to in 4k: ruclips.net/video/GEAC7zywCaA/видео.html
And now Russians are retreating due to acute radiation poisoning
it isn't real in the slightest though
You've consumed too much ukronaz1 propaganda
Just got finished watching the Chernobyl HBO miniseries. Had to come back here.
Same lol
still gives goosebumps
This is shit
I have episode four on pause while coming to watch this haha
I hate it so. BaD
This is literally happening now, as the Russian forces have seized Chernobyl.
Wtf 😂 life is a simulation
"50,000 people used to live here, now it's a ghost town."
well not seized
@@rohitgurav16 he's not referring to that actually?
He's talking about the Russian invasion on Ukranian soil and Seizure of Chernobyl/Pripyat
Well I guess fiction became reality.
"50,000 people used to live here, now it's a ghost town."
Im here because this is actually happening.
Omg I thought I was the only one

“Look at this place 50,000 people used to live in this city now it’s a ghost town never seen nothing like it “ Cpt. MacMillan
I remember playing this like it was just yesterday easily the most nerve racking mission ever in COD history
"50,000 people used to live here, now its a ghost town" Remembered this since 2005 when i first played this mission, such a great game love it!
But this game came in 2007 !!
Game came out in ‘07🤔?
To me I find this game more than just a game, it’s a documentary!
The whole game..? Why not just the mission? Surely you don't think the rest of the game is meant to emulate past events.
lmao no it isnt
That first cutscene hits hard...
Yeahr. One of th best missions, perhaps even the best ever 😀
😀
It's a stand out mission, yet kind of dissapointing considering how great the environment is. After all the shealth, the very end forces cartoonish gameplay running around the fairground.
It is so realistic that you can even hear the voices of children when they walk through the building.
Not so realistic, as the kids are not there. It's more 'poethic'.
How is that realistic.

@Emory Deangelo Oh, wow. It just took you 2 minutes to create a goddamn alt account.
Probably the best cod
No doubt. I was 8 or 9 when I first played it. Now I’m 24 and in the military. This game inspired me!
@@maedhros0111 I started playing the game at 8 and it is personally the best cod I’ve ever played

Pathetic 😊@@maedhros0111
This mission was legendary 🔥🔥👌
Two-part mission
Now we just need to stay alive until new games portrait what is happening right now on Ukraine

Coming back now Russia has seized Chernobyl…

el sonido ambiental al llegar a los apartamentos es epica...las voces de niños te dan escalosfrios.
The fact that this mission pretty actually happened now
I've been gaming for 31 years, and imo this is one of the best designed levels in games. Period. So many memorable moments.
"Years go by, and this remains the best mission in all of Call of Dutys, almost like a movie."
I played this so many times in coop with friends....
I just realised when they enter the building, sudden noises start to play of children playing and people talking. Almost similar when you stop at the playground in Half Life 2.
Idk why this mission so scary
This probably my favorite mission from all cods

Good gameplay bro, for me this is the best mission :D
That is so not veteran difficulty.
why not ?
Because you die instant when you get hit :)

worst gameplay ever

I'm now fearing that the airfield mission in mw2 is gonna get real too...
Currently feeling like Infinity Ward has predicted the future here a little bit not gunna lie… 🥴

Two and Four. Best CoDs ever.

Just? You're so humble Price.
I think that Putin was learning about this mission
I can’t help but noticed that Zakhaev has been wearing the same clothes for fifteen years
If it works don't change it xD

Ancient One: You’re about 26 years too early.
For those of years who commented about the Russian and Ukraine war, you may want to take note that this game might of been a foreshadow for the real war considering that the background story of this game involves a civil war in Russia
Wow
Wagner mutiny wasnt really a civil war
best mission in entire cod franchise
I’ve only played this game once, and as a younger call of duty lover it’s crazy to hear “lieutenant Price”
Its happening now on real life
Being Lieutenant 15 years ago and now you are Captain? You should be in at least Lieutenant-colonel or Colonel. They screwed you hard.
That or he was offered promotions and simply refused them
Damn, this became real
I feel Cod predicts the future 😮
cpt says no quick movement
looks around with gun pointing upward and so sharply that makes my neck crack
As a man who is 32 and has served in the military service as a line infantry, this man used actual tactics, waiting before the captain enters and looking around spyng for enemies.
best COD singleplayer mision ever !
if the mission briefing says he was a lieutanent why does it say captain in his name tag?
i think it’s so we don’t confuse him as someone else, because throughout the whole game we know him as captain price, not lieutenant
Become he was a lieutenant in 1996,this is a flashback not a nowadays mission. Today he's a captain
Best mission ever
Anyone else come after watching Chernobyl on hbo max?
