I loved this song when Elton John did it... American ego. Acknowledging that Def Leopard is better than most of their trashy bands put together is unfathomable for them. They're already hurt inside.
They are in the rock and roll hall of fame, it may have taken some time but thank God they are there. Some very well deserving folks are still waiting. Tragedy 😢

After working my ass off and raising a family I am trying to catch up with some of the great rock music I missed over the years. Loved my Def Leppard from the early 80's on and missed Joe Elliot's formation of this great cover band of classics I loved growing up. The Quireboys I am just getting a bead on and their longevity. This is what makes youtube great for a still curious and rocking old guy like myself. Love this video!!!

Can't get enough videos of the rare stuff like this!
The roses in the window box
Have tilted to one side
Everything about this house
Was born to grow and die
Oh it doesn't seem a year ago
To this very day
You said I'm sorry honey
If I don't change the pace
I can't face another day
And love lies bleeding in my hand
Oh it kills me to think of you with another man
I was playing rock and roll and you were just a fan
But my guitar couldn't hold you
So I split the band
Love lies bleeding in my hands
I wonder if those changes
Have left a scar on you
Like all the burning hoops of fire
That you and I passed through
You're a bluebird on a telegraph line
I hope you're happy now
Well if the wind of change comes down your way girl
You'll make it back somehow
And love lies bleeding in my hand
Oh it kills me to think of you with another man
I was playing rock and roll and you were just a fan
But my guitar couldn't hold you
So I split the band
Love lies bleeding in my hands
And love lies bleeding in my hand
Oh it kills me to think of you with another man
I was playing rock and roll and you were just a fan
But my guitar couldn't hold you
So I split the band
Love lies bleeding in my hands
Love lies bleeding in my hand
Yeah, we are all well aware of the lyrics.
Magic!
