16:50, I was like ma'am, what do you mean he needs training?!? The whole first half of the movie was him training 😂
That was hilarious
44:20 Gordon: “I never said thank you”
Bruce: “And you'll never have to”
Classy as Hell !😎
Best Batman movie ever!!!!!😊😊😊😊😊
It's a touching nod to the end of the first Superman film. It's that kind of sentimentality that I want in my comic book films.
I saw this in the theater with low expectations. The audience exploded into applause at that ending.
Best line of the film
Your next two reactions now need to be: A Dark Knight and Dark Knight Rises.
Yes! I just watched The Dark Knight (the reaction is being edited) and will probably watch The Dark Knight Rises next week!
@@CristyReacts That's awesome. Sending love from the UK.
Alfred was British SAS (Special Forces) before being the butler for the Wayne Family. Bruce's father wanted a butler that was a secret bodyguard/security specialist.
3:29 "Blue flower, red thorns. Blue flower, red thorns..."
16:10 I’m thinking he doesn’t ask for another to be made with advancements (as you suggested), because he doesn’t want to draw attention from the board of directors.
I love your “He should do some training” gaffe, because it’s your think-out-loud personality shining through. And I love that you kept it in, because it shows that you’re not afraid to look silly. Love ya, mean it.
24:56 This is the best moment in YT movie reaction history…equally hilarious and endearing.
I'm glad you enjoyed Batman Begins. It's definitely one of my favorite Batman movies of all time. There's so many great parts but, I love that it showed a great representation of the training Bruce had to go through to become Batman. I also just love a good origin story ❤🦇
Right?? I love a good origin story!
The opera young Bruce attends with his parents is “Die Fledermaus” (The Bat).
I think its actually mephistofeles
In the original comic back in the 30's I think it was a Zorro film.
“Nice. Right in the face.” Lmao!!!😂😂😂
41:26 the inflection in his voice when he delivers that line never fails to crack me up 😆😆
Hans Zimmer is a legend but James Newton Howard also worked on the score. Though not as well known, he's also a genius. Some of the more emotional, soft pieces from this were composed by him and are very reminiscent of his other work.
The shoe button scene somehow gets me every time. Like, the batsignal sending emergency calls and every bat within hearing distance coming to help thinking one of their kin is in distress.
39:32 such an epic way to reveal oneself to those close to them. Tell them something that only the both of you will know 😄
Great reaction!
This was a great way to set the tone for a new interpretation of the Batman. I like the journey of Bruce from considering simple revenge (and being called out by Rachel for it) to bring a selfless protector.
20:01 “Why did he change his voice?”
It’s part of his cover. The kinds of listening devices that are sure to be all over a city the size and density of _Gotham?_ Either he can knock ‘em all out of commission (which, I think, would be illegal) or he can change his voice so they don’t _recognize_ him.
“The house… the castle ….ayy,no-the horsies!” 😅 🐎
This is a fantastic super hero movie. Great origin story, great villains, great cast. One of my favorites.
This is my favorite Nolan Batman film. I feel like the others leaned too hard into the whole "let's adapt Batman for the real world" thing, which stripped away a lot of the personality and lore from the comics to fit a more grounded setting. Even this film does that to an extent, like removing the immortal aspect of Ra's al Ghul, which, to me, made him a pretty uninteresting take on the character. Felt like Begins was the perfect mix, instead Nolan went even deeper into the real world aspect.
That said, I still think Batman Begins has the best version of Gotham City (out of the Nolan trilogy) and the most comic book-like Batman vibe. While The Dark Knight is probably a better movie overall, I personally prefer Batman Begins as a Batman film. It feels like the only one in the trilogy that really captures the spirit of the comics, whereas the other two, while great, feel more like solid Nolan films rather than good Batman adaptations.
If you’re looking for a faithful adaptation of DC, animation is always the way to go. The live-action films are often hit or miss, especially movies like the Nolan trilogy, Man of Steel, Batman v Superman etc. Those feel more like "the director’s take on these characters" rather than staying true to the stories and characters from the comics. That said, if you’re not familiar with the comics, you’ll probably still enjoy the films. Animation, like Batman: Mask of the Phantasm, All-Star Superman, Superman Vs. The Elite are just better depictions of these characters when compared to most DC live action films.
-Falcone is shown to be the most powerful figure in Gotham City, with the mayor, city council, and much of Gotham's police force in his pocket and all of the city's criminal outfits under his control. His power comes under attack with the arrival of the mysterious vigilante Batman.
-Dr. Jonathan Crane aka Scarecrow a former psychology professor at Gotham University who was terminated for using his students as test subjects for his fear experiments. He develops a fear-inducing toxin and becomes the Scarecrow to seek revenge, which brings him into conflict with Batman.
-Ra's al Ghul, Utilizing the regenerative powers of the Lazarus Pit, can heal himself from any injury and has often been resurrected from death itself. His exact age is unknown, but he has been around for hundreds of years, giving him an immeasurable amount of knowledge and resources.
Also, Ras Al Ghul is Batman's babymama's dad.
Rachel is the girl from the beginning...the arrowhead she gave Bruce with the note "finders keepers" was the same one shown at the beginning.
Hah yep, I got that!
Best reboot of a series ever. Been following most of the stars of this since 2005.
Cristy, if you would like to see a completely different side of Christian Bale's acting chops, and if you are okay with a movie with a bit of singing and dancing you should try Newsies if you haven't already seen it. Don't know how much of a hassle trying to edit a musical is, but even if you just watch it for yourself, it's worth the watch.
This and The Dark Knight are fantastic, not just as superhero movies, but as movies in general.
Could you argue (to argue means to make arguments) the fact that you didn't mention The Dark knight Rises? Do you have valid arguments or do you follow the masses who say so without any art or part that the third film is bad?
Cristy : Everyone Everyone, everywhere everywhere there is corruption
Also Cristy: Why is everyone so worried about the Batman fighting crime instead of fighting the actual crime going on in the city?
😂 This is why I watch
Was a fun react to watch, my own 3rd favorite Batman in his mythos.
16:06 The Batman character first came along in 1939. He was initially born in dark, gritty circumstances and did very well, there. Events like this are why. In dark, gritty interpretations of the Batman, they _show_ us this event. In “family friendly” interpretations, they just _tell_ us it happened.
In the 1960’s, there was a TV show that attempted to make him family friendly that ultimately ended up making him cheesy and ridiculous and that was the image of him that I grew up with in the ‘80’s.
Fortunately, the ’89 Tim Burton interpretation reintroduced him to the dark, gritty circumstances in which, in my understanding, he has always thrived best. I saw that movie and I understood. Batman is _not_ a family friendly character.
This interpretation took us through one more movie before the franchise was turned over to Joel Schumacher whose ’95 movie introduced Robin and managed to stick with the dark, gritty undertones that have always served Batman best. But then the studio started pressuring _him_ to make the character more family friendly, and in his ’97 movie, the Dark Knight became cheesy and ridiculous again and that killed the franchise.
Stop trying to make Batman family friendly. As a kid, he witnessed both his parents gunned down. He’s not a family friendly character.
8:51 Here’s _another_ recurrent theme of the Batman. Is he a character of _justice_ or _revenge?_
Another great reaction, a lot of people tend to not enjoy Begins as much because it didn’t feature the more popular villains. You’ll definitely live TDK, Ledger is ah-mazzz-ing! Looking forward to to the other two films. I’d definitely like to see what you think about the 90’s Batman franchise. Cheers to the editor as well, I love the additional jokes added in. Hope all is well.
Looks of awe, great face, it shows you really got in to the movie, best type of reaction!
Awesome Snap! Cristy doing The Dark Knight Trilogy!!!!
It's not who you are underneath, but what you react to that defines you.
ha! love it
This is the best Batman origin movie made. Great reaction especially your comment in Spanish.😘
Halito 👋🏽 if you haven't already seen it, I recommend MOMENTO, it remains one of my favorite Nolan films 🎦🔥🧡
This is one of the greatest comic book origin stories, and my personal favorite of Nolan's Batman trilogy.
The Dark Knight is up next!
Next you have to do the dark knight which massively raises the game!!!
Does it ever! I just watched it, the reaction is being edited!
The dark Knight is one of my favourite films of all time. This trilogy to me is in my top 5 trilogys aswell. This is another level of superhero films and the most important thing he is only a man. No superpowers and Nolans take on the villains is dark and as realistic as they could possibly be. I never tire of these films the only crime their was only three in the Nolan vision
Cristy: por qué no entrena antes de salir como Batman?
La primera hora y media de película: me estás jodiendo?
The tumbler, is a real car invented for this film it was built in the UK and it is amazing a real batmobile or sudo tank
The 1st 40 minutes of the movie is training and she's like maybe do a little training 😂😂😂
NOW, you can watch The Dark Knight!! :D good react has usual!! :P
If I ever got turned into a vampire I’d buy a Batman suit and wear it when I fed just to mess with people!
33:39 It was explained early in the film - and again just prior to this scene with Fox - that Bruce Wayne does NOT own Wayne Enterprises. Earle pushed to have Bruce declared legally dead at the missing seven years mark so that the Wayne Estate's ownership of the company could be converted into a publicly-traded corporation with stock shares. Earle explained that various funds and brokerages purchased the majority of the shares, so the company's Board of Directors - of which Earle is the Chair - dictate how the company is run. This all comes back to bite Earle in the butt at the end of the film because each share of common stock gives the stock-owner a vote on the Board.
its what i do that defines me.....gets me every time
This whole trilogy from Christopher Nolan is epic. Love all three movies
Getting suddenly hauled 7 stories up by my ankle would have made me lose my lunch from 17 days ago... lol
Oh yeah!!! You're gonna love these!!!👋👋👏👏🙌🙌✨✨⭐⭐🌟🌟🌠🌠🌠🌠
One of the scariest things about Ras is its hard to argue against him
That's the thing about the Christopher Nolan Batman movies. He manages to give the villains understandable motives and purpose rather than turning them into cartoonishly shallow mustache-twirling bad guys who do evil things simply for the sake of being evil. That was often the problem with the Batman movies that preceeded the Dark Knight Trilogy. Even the villains that seemingly don't have any purpose at all have a purpose to them in Nolan's movies.
@glennwelsh9784 absolutely and ultimately you know batman is the one who is right.
He's not wrong, just his methods.
42:55 "Now kiss...yessssssss!"
Can't wait for _The Dark Knight_ to further their relationship. 😉
Alfred is the Samwise Gamgee of the Dark Knight trilogy!
Another great one!
Bruce couldn't hire Fox back, nor any of the other things you suggested, because he did not own the company. It was publicly traded, so the share holders own the company and the CEO (Earle) runs it. Until Bruce buys up all the shares that is.
It's a great movie. I loved it when I saw it in the cinema. Es una película con mucho estilo y fuerza. Y la secuela es aún mejor.
Saludos, girl.
i am sure you have heard already that the second movie is EVEN BETTER, ALMOST PERFECT! 😁 REALLY ENJOYED your reaction! 👍☺
not only have I heard it... I've seen it!!
I love how she pronouncesx it as "Batmin", like it's Bruce's actual last name; Bruce Batmin. Muahaha!
Someone also said I pronounce Spider Man like a last name... "Spidermin"😂 i don't know what im doing wrongggg!
@@CristyReacts Don't worry about it - it's kinda cute.
My favorite trilogy ❤❤❤❤❤
Wow your first DC comics movie... congratulations!! Now I recommend finishing the Batman trilogy series then Man of Steel, Superman vs Batman, Wonder Woman, Zack Snyder Justice League, Aquaman and then The Batman movie with Robert Pattison
I already watched The Batman, it's up on my Patreon!
@@CristyReacts oh great, I recommend reacting to the other DC comics movies
hey I’m Ryan I have a movie request can you please do the movie Austin powers international man of mystery and if you can please wear leather gloves for the movie
@ryanhill-x5i why leather gloves?
because they are required to watch the movie
25:01 and we love you all the more for it😲lol🤣
best movie trilogy ever. Waiting for Dark Knight.
The Dark Knight is the greatest superhero movie of all time
I don't wanna spoil anything about the upcoming reaction, but I agree.
In the comics the other superheroes don't want to go to Gotham. It's too corrupt and dangerous.
Batman doesn't want them to enter Gotham without his permission, because he's trying to keep the balance between good and evil.
THE DARK KNIGHT is even better than the first one.
First off, the script is brilliant.
But Heath Ledger steals the show as the best Joker you will ever see. RIP.
Batman and Robin really did significant damage to the franchise. So much so that I skipped this in theaters. Every franchise is one film away from ruin, but also one film away from coming back.
It's not that bad of a movie, there were just some stupid choices made that screwed it. But yeah, it got several projects scrapped and is probably the reason we haven't had a movie version of Robin since.
That’s a little rough. Batman and Robin is a great 90’s action film. Your last line is absolutely true though. One thing great to come out of the 90s/00s was the demand for great stories and storytelling. Even Jason Bourne and John Wick are great examples of having great action but even better stories.
So what do you have against nipples?
Then you didn't get what Schumacher was going for... His batmovies are homages to the Adam West Batman show/Batman 66, which are extremely colorful and very campy. He nailed it.
@LordVolkov That part he nailed, but the story telling he didn't. Not to mention the constant ice puns that weren't needed or funny.
This is my favorite superhero movie!
You should definitely continue the Christopher Nolan journey. Glad you saw and enjoyed 'Interstellar.' There are the two Dark Knight movies, also 'Inception.' Historical dramas, 'Dunkirk' and 'Oppenheimer' are both excellent. Highly recommended.
How'd you like The Prestige?
@@CristyReacts Oh yes. Sorry I neglected to mention that one. Excellent period piece. And unique for a Nolan film with its emphasis on character study. Fine performances by Christian Bale and Hugh Jackman especially. Thanks for a great channel, Christy.
Thank you! The Prestige is the next one I'm posting :)
@@CristyReacts That is great. Think you will really like it.
This movie set the bar for ALL super hero films. I still think it's the best ever made. Dark Knight is awesome, but I love the origin story of this and finally someone taking the source material seriously.
Next one is even better.
The little blonde kid grew up to be King Geoffrey.
The fear toxin did permanent damage to his mind.
Great react! Can you watch Pride and Prejudice (2005)? Maybe for valentines day since it's a romance? The cast is incredible and the cinematography is gorgeous.
Please consider watching Lethal Weapon if you haven't yet, Love your reactions. Bless you & yours
🤘🏻❤xoxo❤🤘🏻
I didn't know Leelee Sobieski had a youtube channel
Weee, here we go ^^
Bruce wayne is a billionaire not a millionaire, millionaires are so last year
Taken?
Memento is an amazing christopher nolan film
Ironic that you told the lady from Siberia to move to Florida, and then released the video on the day after Florida looked like Siberia
@7:55 taken taken
That choker is giving me anxiety, Cristy!!
Wait why!
@ It looks like it’s actually kind of tight, and I feel it on my neck…because I’m weird like that.
I'm not a big Marvel or DC guy the only superheroes I ever cared about are Batman and Spider-Man. Sam Raimi's Spider-Man Trilogy and The Dark Knight Trilogy are masterpieces.
20:45 If you like this film, I cannot wait for your reaction to "The Dark Knight," second film of the Nolan trilogy.
I LOVED The Dark Knight. Already watched it, just waiting on the reaction to be edited!
Though I believe that that the Nolan films are incredible, the true essence of batman has really been lost.
Check out the next two parts of the trilogy! Enjoy!
Oh you know I will!
Dr crane AKA scarecrow
25:54 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Give James Newton Howard his due. I think most of the best parts of the score are his, not Hans Zimmer. As Newton Howard's involvement in the sequels lessens, the music becomes less interesting. This score really rocks.
The Pattinson movie was almost good! The Riddler was too over the top. Colin Farrell did a awesome Penguin 🐧. These movies are made pretty well. I prefer a Batman over 6 feet tall but the cast is awesome!! We need a Batgirl/ Woman which is supposed to be Barbara Gordon!! Come On DC!! Great Reaction Cristy! Peace 🕊️☮️♾️😎🎸🤟🏼
Love your reactions. You must see INCEPTION from Nolen. One of his best movies.
you should watch the next two movies
The score by Hans Zimmer is tremendous.
Nolan's Batman is little more than a overfunded cop, beating information out of suspects and justifying the loopholes in his 'code'...
I hope you will see how hypocritical the next one is.
Hola paisanita!!
Si te queda tiempo, te recomiendo la serie de películas de Batman anteriores a esta trilogía...espero sean de tu gusto:
• Batman (1989)
• Batman Returns (1992)
• Batman Forever (1995)
• Batman & Robin (1997)
Felicidades!!
Niice. An amazing movie. But next up: the single greatest comic book movie of all time...
24:49 Brazil be like:
Master quigon
id say he tipped hotel boy a thousand
Big tip!
@@CristyReacts thats what she said lol te amo!
As soon as I found out that Christian Bale had been cast as the next Batman, I was ALL IN!!!
LOL 25:02
Rises is the best
PART II 😁 You should check out Gary Oldman's portrayal of the Original Batman,,,,,, aka Dracula in Bram Stoker's Dracula! Includes Keanu Reeves, Anthony Hopkins (not his best role). Gary is a very underrated actor. ☮️☯️
Maybe you should change the title to..... I got really stoned and reacted to Batman Begins.
hahahah definitely NOT stoned!! im just naturally kinda slow
do the dark knight
You know what exposure therapy is and what it would be for in Bruce's bat-phobia case. I find that interesting. Maybe you were just curious about phobias and studied psychology, perhaps you have your own phobias that you were treated for. And maybe you know a phobe treated with exposure therapy and they told you about it... Documentary? Or something. Just wondering why you know about exposure therapy and hope it worked for whomever needed it. Like if I went down to the nearest town and asked ten random people what is exposure therapy, I bet either 0, 1, 2, or at most 3 will get it right. Btw, in my case, I know of it because I have studied psychology. I have never tried to exposure therapy myself. Too afraid to! I won't even tell a human (let alone public interwebs) my deepest fear--that's how paranoid of revealing it I am. And what I am afraid of, I think it is irrational for anyone to NOT be deeply afraid of what I am deeply afraid of. But I am also afraid that one day someone will find my deepest fear and then make me confront it by going through it. Like if I were afraid of bats, the blue happy panic flower drugs confront me with an inordinate number of bats, making me go on a thrill ride down anxiety highway headed a warp 9.3 and climbing, mutatis mutandis.
Yasss
LOL, “That was an unsuccessful meeting”
