This song brings back fond memories. It was May 1981 and on a Sunday evening all of us at home were agog, waiting for the comedy Pyar Kiye Jaa to be telecast on Doordarshan. Instead, Miss India was telecast instead, much to our initial disappointment (Nargis had passed away earlier that day, after battling cancer). However as the film progressed, I remember it was quite enjoyable and this song Albela - also appeared at the end after everything comes right. This heroine-oriented film clearly belonged to Nargis I remember. Listening to this song after *just* 43 years!!! Thanks, Shankar! 🙂
