Thread Rolling Dies: In-feed VS Thru-feed

What's the difference between in-feed dies and thru-feed dies?
1. Surface
Thru-feed: The threads are as the rings on the surface of thread rolling dies.
In-feed: There are multiple starts (helix angle) at the edge of thread rolling dies.
2.Thread Rolling Progress
In-feed: The work piece stays at the same rollng point.
Thru-feed: Set the helix angle with the roller shafts of thread rolling machines first, and insert the thread rolling dies.
3.Axial movement
Thru-feed: Work piece rides between the dies on a support blade.
In-feed: Work piece rotates between the dies. but has little to no axial movement.
4.Application
Thru-feed: To thread rolling longer length of screws. (longer than the length of thread rolling dies).
In-feed: To thread rolling of shorter length.
