There's a RUclipsr who has a progressive news show who said in an interview that a viewer wanted to show him how easy would be to ruin his reputation by making false claims that he sexually assaulted her. If there was some merit to this, his career would have been ruined.

Sometimes I think Adrienne has a hard time seeing things from other peoples perspective while she’s trying to drive her point home. And it doesn’t have to be that way.
Jealousy is most certainly destructive. Jealous friends can be “secret saboteurs”. They can withhold praise yet play up criticisms. They are a vault when you do well, but can’t hold water when things are going bad for you. Moreover, search RUclips about the story of the woman who’s jealous friend threw acid in her face. They didn’t know who did it initially and the “friend” came over acting concerned only to find out through security camera, it was her the whole time. I had a jealous family member actually troll my RUclips page some years back under a fake profile. I’ve learned my lesson with jealousy and extending grace to jealous people.

I get what Adrienne is saying and I agree. Jealous people can go to great lengths to try to hurt you, but you can’t control that. You can only control how you respond and your perspective on things is EVERYTHING!

Yes, you can be destroyed because we are in a cancel culture. Slander can cause you to lose your job and be homeless if someone is evil enough. Photoshop and technology in general is amazing these days. They can create some photos of you that appear so real people believe it. It sometimes doesn't matter if you know the truth about yourself because you appear guilty to others and that'll affect your career or relationships with others.
I agree with you that what words people use against us shouldn’t affect us but in the age of social media it definitely can ruin your life. There’s been so many cases that I’ve personally seen online of others spreading false info and that spreading like wildfire online. Worse with cancel culture and doxxing people can find out where you live, where you work, if you attend college and posts that info for others to call those establishments and literally ruin your life. Some people take things for face value and don’t do research and jump on bandwagons unfortunately.
Well to put in other words : a jealous person can go to the extent of ruining your reputation, family , career & unfortunately to the extent of killing you. So yes they can if you ain’t wise & advised And covered by the Lord Jesus.

I think Adrienne has mastered the art of avoiding mess. Once she sees someone with darkness and meanness surrounding them she cuts them off quickly because she likes having peace and control in her life. Life has taught her that the only thing you can control is yourself. Fighting back is not ALWAYS the answer. By leaving the situation before it turns bad you stop the problem before it starts. You need to have foresight.

i pray for those who have people jealous of them ..it can take a toll on people mentally making them questions themselves like what did i do to make them not like me...when in reality people can be jealous of how much people like you, your happy spirit, your talents , cool personality, anything. Well said. The mental toll is enough to destroy someone's spirit. Especially people who are empaths dealing with a jealous toxic person may feel that they have to down play themselves, hide their achievements, or change just so appease the jealous person. Like you said, people could be jealous of anything and that can really affect the person receiving the jealous energy

It can absolutely affect you. I'm surprised Adrienne spoke so naively on this. A jealous person will go to many lengths. Even kill you. And it can be draining mentally and emotionally being on the receiving end of baseless attacks while you are minding your business. They will continuously attack and attack. Jealousy is an ugly feeling and it can be tricky to talk about. It's not something you can talk to anyone about. It takes a certain kind of person to listen and help someone with those feelings without being condescending.
Adrienne is so dense sometimes lol - it’s not about just the emotional things these guys are talking about. It’s about actual things people can do to you - in secondary school jealous girls stole my art coursework and hid it and if I didn’t get that back I WOULD NOT HAVE GONE TO UNI as I needed all subject grades for my credits. Then you have to ask yourself, why are you allowing the many things that people do to you, as damaging as it may or can be, to overpower you? Destroy is to defeat and to overpower. Why would you allow yourself to be defeated or overpowered by another human who breathe just the same as you? Or to be weakened by that person. That seems dense, because you are implying that you have no authority within yourself to overcome yourself and be triumphant over things and those who try to break you. Their talking about two different types of jealousy. Ade is taking about the harmless jealousy that someone feels against you but doesn’t have tangible consequence to you, loni is talking about jealousy that makes someone harm someone else and have tangible negative damage

There are levels to this. I ultimately believe what Adrienne believes, but I have experienced what the others were trying to explain to her. People's jealousy and other dark forces will bring trouble and attempts to destroy, but the blessing of the Lord is much greater to bring you through unharmed. I think sometimes Adrienne only applies things to herself....she may feel like no one can ever destroy her because she has an awesome support system. But she should look at things from a different point of view sometimes....there are people that work paycheck to paycheck and can't quickly bounce back from someone lieing on them. Yes Sometimes she can be very narrow minded. Jealousy does not only cause emotional harm but also physical through actions. Maybe you tell someone about a new job you’re hoping to get, and then they wish bad upon you or go further to tell someone at that company you’re not a good candidate. There are actual actions that extremely jealous people can take.
No one can actually destroy you. They can try. They can make life more difficult but they cannot actually destroy you if you take the steps to not treat it like or wallow in defeat. I think Mrs. Adrienne meant that no one can destroy you personally, or as a person. Ms. Garcelle and Ms. Loni were talking about destroying your reputation, job opportunities , etc. A person can do things that may be very destructive to you externally. However, if you have strong faith, inner strength and know who you are as a person, no one can touch you. And if you show them that you are not bothered by their negative behavior, maybe they will get tired and leave you alone.
If someone ruins your reputation, then even if you don't care it could still effect your life and take years to recover from that damage, if at all.
Growing up I have been always told its easier for some one to wish you the worst then to honestly wish you good , and jealousy is the seed to the uglyest side of people. I think Adrienne is just taking it very literal, where it’s not destroying you, as a person. It’s destroying your image. Which can ruin you, people won’t work with you, people won’t want to be friends with you. Which is all okay to the person, but it’s still destroying you in the not so literal way.

Well it happened to me, me and my sister weren’t really close growing up, but at one point we became close, and my life was looking up and I shared everything with her, I trusted her and didn’t even recognise it when she was tearing me down, by the time I realised my god this girl isn’t happy for me, this girl is using me as a negative motivation because proving a point motivates her. I was delusional and trusted her and by the time I ended that relationship I had the lowest self esteem I’ve ever had, people who had known me all along were so worried why I hated myself so much. She was so jealous, it really ruined everything I had at the time. I am so careful who I let into myself now, because of that experience. It’s such a shame it was my sister but I really learnt a lesson about humans
At work, one coworker called another cowprker's wife with a disguised voice. He told her that she was being cheated on, even though that was 100% false. He simply was jealous of the coworker's beautiful wife, and even tried to date her before they got married last year.

Adrienne was focused on people being able to not let other people’s jealousy get to them. That’s not what Nene was trying to say. sounds good but reality is mean spiteful people can hurt you. i had a female at my job spread lies about me and people believed it. even my supervisors. that hurt me getting a promotion in my job. later the lady who spread the lies left and i was able to shine. ppl were able to see how great i am. in the end it worked out for me but when i was going through it it was not a good feeling.
I mean, people die from actions of others... so yes it can literally destroy you. Jealousy can be a factor in an assault, theft, framing, etc... even murdering, so I'm not sure at what point I'm LETTING something bother me when it has real tangible negative effects on my life or the lives of those I love... it's a weird hill to die on to claim that this stuff can't destroy you...

That quote Loni said, never heard it before but it's definitely true. Sometimes what people say may not affect you cuz you know it's not true. But when it affects your opportunities, you must speak up because having to miss them because of a jealous person's rumors is an unfair outcome. I get Adrienne has an incredible support system and great faith, but she needs to understand that sometimes destruction will affect and destroy you even with God in your life. He'll build you up from that point tho. I hate to view it like that, but we can't pretend that even the most faithful people have been destroyed by whatever the Devil threw at them whether it was a death in the family, becoming homeless, loss of a great job, etc. Also, destruction could be anything and last for any time depending on the person: depression, resorting to alcohol, crying, losing faith, etc.

Perception can create what you perceive as real or not. If you observe a person putting out hurtful or false information about you and they don't know you, keep clear and away from that person. That sort of "jealousy" has nutting to do with you. Its a snare. Even though it can be difficult watch or read something said about you that you know has zero basis on truth, don't give in to that. Your reputation is important but if you remain positive and don't feed into that it will dissipate and the truth will prevail.
If you have boundaries they cannot
If someone in HR or at your dream job hears allegations about you that are untrue, whether they’re true or not, those allegations are now associated with you and a lot of people will not hire or affiliate themselves with you because they don’t want those negative allegations affiliated with their company or brand. True or not, That’s what I think Adrienne wasn’t hearing.

I feel, just by hearing the whole things, triggered. I grow up with a jealous biological mother who would dog on me publicly, gossip on me 24/7, lying to me and on others, manipulate other to turn them against me and doing the " flying monkeys" method to revenge.
Jealousy is like drinking poison and waiting for the other one to die.
Crazy jealous people can destroy opportunities, professional and personal. If a person is not genuinely happy when you blossom 🌷walk away and kick that relationship to the curb!! So called false joking comments created false mistrust with new people. Constantly calling at work even when they know management is upset by the phone calls results new position being trained for was revoked. I got rid of these people many decades ago and flourished. It didn’t destroy me but prolonged my career advancement.
It depends on their connection to my life, their level of determination to do so and how I define "destroy." If they are already in a position of power over me or higher credibility than me outside of that jealousy, then they could perhaps destroy me in the sense of botching my reputation with people, causing me to lose my job, become in trouble with the law or fear for my life. These problems would severely affect my livelihood and make it hard for me to live in peace, but I believe the truth always has a way of coming out and providing karma to people.
