Good suggestion...I will have to think about this one. I have not installed any such things, no current plans. But I think the most common thing that people install is a lockable storage unit in the rear cargo area. I think there are a few different vendors that make them.
I use this panel in mine to secure hand sanitizer, Kleenex, a trash bag, and my sunglasses. Apart from the latter I don't see those as theft risks, but who knows.
I have a hard top so I am not as worried, but I did think about this and it is a valid point. If I am parking somewhere with the top off, I will probably put the flashlight in the center console and lock it up.
Are you aware with a soft top, you can take off the 3 back windows with the Bronco locked and without even opening any doors!?! It's a serious security flaw, but still an awesome vehicle.
@@BudgetBronco I have a soft top, and went with the dealer-installed Console Vault, and recently used new vehicle Ford Pass points towards the purchase of the rear cargo security enclosure with the liftable lid. Better peace of mind when stowing anything of value in the vehicle now.
Interesting idea. Since you have had this for a while, do you have any long-term feedback? I wonder if you have a bunch of doodads hanging there, is it an encumbrance on the passengers leg room? Thanks for posting!
I am still happy with this product, but still only using it for my flashlight, but some day would like to mount a Midland radio or something similar. As long as you are mounting things that are fairly low profile, they will not get in the passenger's way. Something large like a tool kit or first aid kit might be another story. Side note, I have been VERY happy with the flashlight I bought (there is a link for that in my description too). The battery lasts a long time, and it is quite bright.
It would be very cool to build your own and not too difficult. Just mock one up with a piece of cardboard to get all the mounting holes just right and then cut with a plasma cutter if you have one of those (I do not YET have one but it is on my wish list!). Thanks for watching
Nice to see the roof off. Been watching you for months, but am finally considering getting one of these. Question about the two door with no roof: can teenagers easily climb up the tire and jump in the back or does the roll bar configuration make this impossibly awkward? I'd love my kids (11, 14) to be able to enter skipping the doors when the roof is off! :)
Thanks for watching! Well, first I have to say I have never tried to do this, but my sense is that for a kid, getting in the back seat this way is going to be easier than getting in the back seat through the door, which is difficult. To go over the top you are going to have to go over the roll bar, and since it is wide open in the back seat (ie no cross bar there like on the Wrangler) it should be pretty easy. They would probably also need to put a foot on the top of the quarter panel to hop over, so if you are OK with that, go for it!
Glad you found some molle panels for a lower price!!!!!
Me too, thanks for watching!
Love this idea. Just bought it after watching your video. Thanks👍🏻
Cool...thanks for watching!
Could you do a video on theft deterrents? If you have any. Do you do anything to cover your catalytic converter?

@@BudgetBronco Great, thanks for your reply :)
Cool - added to my bold list. The list that grows while I wait for my budget build to start.
I've had my Bronco for 10 months and I still have a list! Thanks for watching
The Amazon link goes to a different product
Thanks for pointing that out...I have updated with a new link.
Looks great, but as a soft top Wrangler owner waiting for a Bronco, I don't leave anything of value in my vehicles fearing a broken window or cut top.

Ordered one, rec'd it, and it's a piece of cake installing it.

I like the idea but not in my budget. I have a piece of aluminum diamond plate that would be perfect for this.

@@BudgetBronco I do have a plasma cutter. I lucked out buying before the chip shortage. I am making rock sliders right now.
AWESOME!! You should make a video of that. Will they be body mounted, or frame mounted?
@@BudgetBronco They are body mounted now and will also be frame mounted in the near future.

@@BudgetBronco excellent, I definitely think they'd enjoy it. I don't mind a couple footprints in surprising places :). Thanks for your response!!
