      lol because most of the gurus don’t actually run production companies or agencies. They just sell courses and and tug on our pain points. From now on, I’m only listening to people who still run an agency or they built one and sold it for millions. If not I’m going to believe they couldn’t get more clients and decided to sell courses

    I did a few VBCs myself but got away from it. I was getting ready to get back in it and came across this video. This is fantastic information and really gives me a lot clarity. Subbed

      Every business needs a VBC so it was always the 1 thing I would market online to bring leads in. Most buisness owners are old AF and don't know shit about anything online, so the VBC was a great way to give them something simple they could understand and let us get a foot in the door.
      From there I could also talk about testimonial videos, FAQ videos, process videos, etc. and instead of like $5k I was able to charge $10k without having to do that much extra work.
      Because they are all talking head videos with broll , it was so easy to shoot + edit all those assets and when the business already had online traffic they would see quick results.
      Because of that they trusted me with whatever else after, and that's when I would lock them in on a monthly retainer

    I’ve recently heard of video business cards, and have myself mainly focused on brand stories. I wonder if there is a clear distinction between the two? Regardless, thanks for providing such high value for FREE, this is gold.

      A "Video Business Card" sounds better to a business owner than a Brand Story.
      Everyone knows what a Brand Video is... and who wants the same exact thing everyone else is doing... they want their video to be "different!"
      So it's honestly just a different way of marketing it and getting them excited about a process that YOU have for a video versus them telling you what THEY want and having to try and create this vision that a client has in their head (that you think you understand under the revision process comes up lol)

    Thanks for this information. How did you initially go about identifying "the team" to work on these projects? (i,e who is filming, editing, managing content) Did you locate them on the internet, interview them, look at examples of their work? I would imagine that takes a fair amount of selection and coordination.

    • @ceebz_gerard
      @ceebz_gerard  5 месяцев назад +2

      Gradually made connections over time mostly through social media. Then I would gradually start hiring people on small one-off projects... so I would hire people to just come film BTS on other shoots to test them out and I would test editors on non-time sensitive projects like marketing content or vlogs or something that. That gave me the confidence to keep selling bigger jobs and know there were people I could trust to help out when the time came.

      @@ceebz_gerard That makes sense - especially the trust aspect. I think a first step for me would be to get to a point where hiring is possible. Also resisting the temptation to do all the work solitary - will be key in reaching the next level. BTW - If you ever need someone in the upstate new york area to capture footage: Please reach out:) Again thanks for the transparency!
