@@Luis-df2kt Hello Luis! Yes, planning to do this week, and release for this Sunday. I had a tough schedule past 2 month, now I am back to the channel, as I have some free time to work on RUclips. By the way, I can offer paid consultation for IOL selection, if you might be interested. I will evaluate your visual needs, basic eye status, IOL options available at your location and give you some motivated suggestions for better option, based on all these data. It advised the Full Range of vision IOL type, so trifocals if I understood the result correctly,? I wish I knew if the halo, star bursts or glare at night would be managable, so not too bad with my large pupil sizes. You didn't answer if the Eden EDOF offer reading at 40cm or 60cm, do you know? Also, one doctor nited that as my pupils are generally bigger, this would mean my reading would be better so not sure if that alters the potentially reading ability with one lens or another?
It is trifocal or hybrid lenses, which provides high visual acuity at near. Halo effects are unpredictable issue, and there is no way to affect it somehow. It is individual specific. Large pupil may increase halo incidence. And reading to my opinion will not be better due to this specific.
Hello doctor , in coming month I have a cataract surgery for both eyes. My surgeon told me that I have 5mm pupil size . That's why I have to go for monofocal lense as toric lense are not available for 5mm pupil. Dr please tell me that any company toric lens is available in 5mm size . I have high myopia and 2.80 cylinder number in both the eyes and spherical number is -31. -31 number is fully corrected with the catract surgery or not and what about 2.80 cylinder number Please dr your suggestions and opinion will save my eyes...
Hello Jain. I am not a doctor, I am IOL and clinical integration expert. Good question, I never heard about such limitation regarding toric lenses. Some multifocal lenses are pulil size dependent and thus might be not suitable, however some others have full size optics and may work properly. I suggest to llok for second doctor opinion in this case
I'm 55 and have presbyopia and I want to get rid of using glasses completely, especially for reading but I have pupil sizes of 7.3 and 7.6. I've spoken with a number of doctors and although they all basically say trifocals would normally be the solution for all 3 distances, I either have to live with glare and halo to get my near sight back for reading as trifocals will cause this glare and halo 100% due to my large pupil sizes or I can get an EDOF solution with no halo or glare problem but I don't get my reading without glasses back so that is no good either, SO FRUSTRATING! I've also just been speaking with 2 different doctors, one saying, if I go with AT LISA from Zeiss, I will get all 3 distances and little to no halo or glare and another saying, if I go for Eden EDOF, I will get all 3 distances and no risk of halo or glare but I'm worried each doctor just wants the surgery money. Could you give me your thoughts as I don't know which will be best for my needs of no need for glasses and no halo or glare problems? Most important for me is not needing glasses for near to intermediate with no halo or glare as noted so from all my research, the Eden EDOF is the choice and although a RUclips video I watched about the Eden EDOF, which claimed it is for reading and intermediate specifically with good far vision and no halo or glare, the doctor who would do the surgery is saying the Eden EDOF only gives reading at 60cm, which is not for reading my phone emails or the likes, so CONFUSED! Your advice would be very helpful and welcome, thanks
thanks a lot ! :) and thank you for the technology, which helped me 5 years ago to improve my amblyopic lazy eye vision to get to functional vision level!
