I miss Arlene and Kevin's work-husband, work-wife relationship. Their chemistry together is much better than Kevin's chemistry with the Sharks in the US.

50k loan for 40 percent equity is actually insane

  • @CabbageYe

So he gave away 40% for a loan instead of going to the bank?

    • @MultiJejje

They can open so many doors. This guy had zero experience about shoe business. He will definately benefit from this. And it was just partial loan. They will convert it to 40% later when he gets sales, I think he really needed money for inventory. They will also help him to make his margins bigger.

@@CabbageYe Should've said to Jim, once I pay you back the money, or even once you double your money, will you drop to 40% - still a hefty % for bringing contacts to the table.

@@salemkid1979 it’s a heavily produced tv show. There’s every chance they discussed all sorts of offers but the editors decided the most interesting part of the pitch didn’t include percentage negotiations, esp if Jim dismissed them

Thousands companies make the same product. Even better, where you can’t see the huge heel.
As always dragons den Canada is the shittiest one. No questions about the supplier or any number on the balance sheet. It’s become a show for housewives. What a shame
