Thom could record his body sounds, slap on his belly and yelp to Flea's bass while Nigel mixed the whole thing and millions would still tune in. I'd buy the whole album.
That drummer is insane... some of these beats.....incredible.... Thom has such creative ears, duno how he can come up with such an amazing baseline and work an amazing track thru it
let's take a moment to appreciate every member of this band. of course Thom is brilliant, and if you don't know how good flea is go watch rhcp live at Woodstock '99. but Nigel, joey and Mauro are also brilliant
My name is jedrzejku and i've been listening to both artists for as long as they've been around and only today, in february 2013, have i learned that they regularly share a stage. i am reborn.
dude, as a massive thom yorke, flea and mike patton fan, i could not agree more. kiedis is a douche and his voice is dire. he's held back fine musicians, ie flea and john for years. this stuff in afp is the most innovative stuff flea's done in about 20 years. hollowsmith, you're my hero.
So much for the old days when it still went under the name reckoner... had exact same bass line, however the chorus had Thom shouting some lines that couldn't be made out....it just didn't fit the song or the flowing bass line...so what he's done here is incredible as it lifts the song more than ever thought possible... thoms solo work is genius.. And this song is a monster if your tripping... takes u to another dimension.. THAT BASS LINE...eargasm......*on repeat*
they are playing here the night before i'll have the exam i've been studying for months... really think i'm going to burn my brain of at the concert and fail the exam. pretty sure it will be worth though
This is completely amazing! I think that once they finally release their debut, they should re-record Thom's solo album, "The Eraser," and put these b-sides on their as well. I think that their versions of Thom's solo songs are 10x better than the album versions (not that it isn't a great record)! Or at least a live album...
And I will also just say that I cannot imagine the Peppers being fronted by anyone except Anthony. Maybe Prince, but he would be faulted for the same things haha. I think that the actual music being played and the really strong love that the band has for each other has always been waaaay more important than whatever Anthony's saying. But to each his own, dude. I totally understand why he isn't your thing. But don't fault the entire forest for one tree ;)
the Radiopeppers.
Thom Yorke is England's biggest musical genius since John Lennon & Paul McCartney
Genre: Thom yorke
Brock Grossman sounds like pink floyd and king crimson
+pedro faria barely
Yes, there’s a clear influence of crimson and Floyd .. but at the same time this sounds nothing like one of their songs at all
Totally agree!!!
@@pedrofaria7451 nope.
Flea + Thom = Musical madness..
Thom could record his body sounds, slap on his belly and yelp to Flea's bass while Nigel mixed the whole thing and millions would still tune in. I'd buy the whole album.
Hey dude, somethig like that: ruclips.net/video/UPMPye2gg3o/видео.html
It makes me so happy that Thom and Flea are friends and playing music together.
I saw atoms for peace on acid... It was easily one of the most profound and inspiring experiences of my existence
2019 still the best version of this song.
Best version of this song HANDS DOWN.....and will be for a while i am thinking!
The Smile: "Hold my beer..."
Nah 2001
No, 2009 when it was released.
Really like the Thom Yorke one? Too mellow. It’s gotta be hella edgy…
That drummer is insane... some of these beats.....incredible.... Thom has such creative ears, duno how he can come up with such an amazing baseline and work an amazing track thru it
@@raditmahindro that's what I said isn't it?
Thom Yorke anything is great. But you add Flea into the mix and OH SHIT.
Two of my favorite musicians
This version still goes hard TO THIS DAY.
Thom Yorke is a lunatic.
HAHA
Descendant of Kraff wow so cool
let's take a moment to appreciate every member of this band. of course Thom is brilliant, and if you don't know how good flea is go watch rhcp live at Woodstock '99. but Nigel, joey and Mauro are also brilliant
the National Anthem version atoms for peace :P
Thom and flea fit so well together !!!
Flea wearing a t-shirt? I'm sure he was sick that day...
My name is jedrzejku and i've been listening to both artists for as long as they've been around and only today, in february 2013, have i learned that they regularly share a stage. i am reborn.
it's fun seeing Thom Yorke cut loose.
Thom is my favorite guitarist
i was listening this song again to test hi end headphones and teleported to another dimension.
He looked so proud at the end lol
Outstanding!!! just learned this bass line and play along on a daily basis , a truly inspired collection of musicians
this is one of the best live performances ive heard in a while..
THANK YOU GOD THEY CAME TOGETHER THE BEST BRITISH VOCAL AND THE WORLD'S BEST BASS
you don't need drugs, Thom is a drug! He flows...within you.

Thon counting in japanese is super sugoi
Truly amazing to see FLEA and Thom jamming together. can't wait for the album
1:36 Thom indicates the drum guy that's playing too loud. he goes down and Thom approves in 1:43.
great to know it man,, The movement of his hand,, hahaha,,
Love seeing coms in live

I NEED TO FUCK WITH THOM YORKE
fine wine wishes it could age like these guys. i want more
Not many ppl mentioning Joey or Nigel.. all of us, of course, should be pleased at the sight and enamored by the sounds.
Flea is just Fantastic!! So is Thom as well of course!
This video is great, I love watching Thom dancing :p
so good to see flea do some of this stuff. Like Jane's Addiction, Radiohead, Chilis....all in one. Like it a lot. awesome.
This generations "careful with that axe Eugene" just out of This world with an amazing bass line
I love Thom sooooo much. Can't wait to see him live in Nashville Oct 3, 2013!!!
how was it?
they are playing here the night before i'll have the exam i've been studying for months... really think i'm going to burn my brain of at the concert and fail the exam.
pretty sure it will be worth though
Did you pass?
What a pefect combination !!! it s clear when you see those two guys on stage !
How can such an amazing version of this song exist? Wow, incredible
the japanese countdown
Imagine what heights AFP could reach with Frusciante and/or Klinghoffer added to the mix. This is such a trip already.
Max Van Westerop I just came buckets imagining a Frusciante solo in this
Lets give a petition to John that he Will join them
Please play this again this Fall!
Strange or amazing ? Both !!!!!!
great band, great artists, so good seeing that, congrats to all the staff
De locos...
Flea rules 'Atoms for peace' Thom Yorke!
They look and sound like a glas of milk and honey with a red hot strawberry on the top. LOVELY
This is the first thing the Daily Show introduced me to that I liked.
This is completely amazing! I think that once they finally release their debut, they should re-record Thom's solo album, "The Eraser," and put these b-sides on their as well. badass Flea and Yorke jam sesh
@brunoarpgg I'm pretty sure the part at the end, you know, where everything explodes and they're sorta imrpovising, is his, and it is damn good too.
no words can express my feeling
Ну почемуууу среди моих знакомых и друзей это никому не заходит? Столько лет уже прусь в одиночку 😭
Realtalk, Thom is like 44 years old
I wish I can stay that fresh and pull moves like him when I'm 40 lol
I noticed too, he just came alittle early there, but he played it off.
A good quality video of them, YEAH !!
awsome live performance
Cant wait for their album... This band is just awesome!
maybe because atoms is a new mix of people and a new free space for creativity for flea and tom.
It IS the same percussionist that's playing with RHCP! Mauro Refosco! Thought I recognised that percussion rig!
I spent the whole song expecting Thom to start screaming RECKONER PAPAPA
Their official channel started uploading vids from this concert. So far, there are two songs. My guess is that they'll upload th whole thing.
Oh my this is soooooo good!!!!
Yes the base and song structure is awesome, the bas(s) line is good too.
Amores
Just when I thought Flea and Yorke were just a bit too different, I found this. This is actually a pretty neat combination and some great music.
Music is good, different strokes for different folks
sick sick sick! Thom you are my master!
Never disappoints :)))
such music beasts!
amazing love
I was there , quality gig
just amazing.
I just saw them in Paris on acid and needless to say it was fucking incredible
this is just amaaaazing
Goddammit Thom, why didn't you get Atoms for Peace to record this in the studio and release it on Amok or as a b-side?!
that would be too much awesomeness to take in.
I've no son〜のとこで横に揺れてるトムヨーク面白い
this song get me high without using any drug. just amazing.
@EliasHam it IS Flea, with his fleabass
En boucle !!!
vibing to this in t -3 hours
yes!!! it is so nice!
Flea is a Legend!
cant help singing along: reckoner, pa pa pa pa reckoner!
What??!! Did you SEE the King of Limbs tour. Have you seen TKOL From the Basement. Radiohead is as great live as they've always been.
And I will also just say that I cannot imagine the Peppers being fronted by anyone except Anthony. Maybe Prince, but he would be faulted for the same things haha.

i love you tom!!
It's Getting Me so High, I feel like I can Fly!
Awesome base!
Nigel is actually on stage wow
Excellent !!!
I was the whole song expecting Thom to shout RECKONER, PAPAPA! lol
the timing of this song can be so cunfusing at parts i love it!
Song sounds very reminiscent of Christopher de Babalon's "Are You Talkin To Me". I'm sure Yorke was influenced by it. Heard him play it on a dj set.
Absolutely sick and job done the way it’s supposed to be deliver.
Assuming that a "musical accomplishment" which is already pretty hard to define, is like something you can simply "give" is ridiculous.
Hope that THIS will be played at Pohoda (if I will be there)
