It's such a peaceful song. The real bad guy has been taken down, the story is all but resolved, but there's still one thing left you have to do, as a man.
This theme has the "jrpg true ending final boss" vibe to it imo, not bad. And the boss fight itself is tough despite him not being villain or anything which is nice, straight up gets up at zero health and heals himself fully for second phase lmao. By the way, isn't that the first boss in rgg/judgement franchise that uses actual karate?
Watching this makes me realize that Kaito’s a mix between Kiryu and Saejima’s moveset. If the Matsugane’s hadn’t been robbed and Kaito hadn’t been kicked out, maybe Kaito could’ve become a legend and had gotten a back tattoo for it.
Probably not tbf. Kaito was with the Matsugane family since he left middle school, 20 years before Hamura staged the whole robbery thing to oust him from the family. If there was no mention of him becoming a legend then, 2 decades before being unfairly booted from the family, I doubt he ever would've become one. The game makes it clear the Matsugane family were only small so that probably didn't help Kaito any.
Saejima? It's just Kiryu brawler and beast but with some original moves. Also you don't need to become a legend to get a back tattoo, Nishiki, Kiryu and Ichiban were nobodies when they got their tattoos

Ichiban came from Arakawa family, while small they have their own reputations and an idealistic boss, so that the boss (Arakawa) would imprint his ideals to his underlings' backs. Then theres the matsugane, could be said as one of the goons kiryu fought off in earlier games..
I like that this boss using health regen gimmick is such a creative way unlike Kiwami 1 where boss health regen was really annoying and make the fight last too long as a result
Nearly every final boss in every Yakuza game has a health regen mechanic. OG 1 and 2, 3, 4 had Kido, and 5. The only ones that haven’t are DE bosses until now. K1 bosses when health regenerating wasn’t that bad because Kiryu is broken in that remake anyways.
Technically there's Daigo, but he still fights Kiryu for bad reasons in 4. Shirakaba literally just wants a honorable duel and never once turns on Kaito.
Dumb it down just enough and most of the franchise's fights wouldn't make sense either. The thing here is that this is a fighting game series, so we must fight. They could've just talk their differences a little bit because there were some. Kiryu could've just advise him, tell him that he couldn't handle the pressure of leading the clan alone, without his heavies, I mean. Or tell him that he shouldn't persue money alone just to save his face as a chairman, sure. But we're talking about the guy who gets to know people, or pass down lessons, through literal beatings.
What's unnerving about this is that it's probably the most calm final boss song I've heard from a Yakuza game. It's very nice and smooth

보스 기본 자세는 용6의 마스조에 같은데 쓰는 기술은 또 다르네요. 이것저것 섞었나 봅니다.
마스조에가 아니라 시부사와 1페이즈 패턴에 정권 패턴 추가된 친구라고 보시면 되겠네요.

@@Mr.Korean89 아 단순히 싸움 자세만 말씀하시는거면 마스조에랑 유사하긴한데 기본 콤보 베이스는 시부사와가 맞습니다. 마스조에는 저렇게 빠른 콤보를 쓰는게 없습니다.

용3은.. 제가 메인 스토리 보스들이랑 히트맨 위주로만 파서 투기장은 아직 안해봤는데요. 나중에 한번 기회가 되고 영상 올릴 수준이 된다고 판단이 되면 올려보겠습니다.

카이토 튕겨내기 타이밍이 야가미 반격기나 저스트회피보다 ㄹㅇ 쓸때없이 빡빡해서 튕겨내기 실패한게 한두번이 아닌거같네요... 피우스님 하실때는 타이밍 되게 빡빡하단 느낌 안받으셨나요?
약간 빡빡한게 없지 않아 있는데 거기에 기존 회피나 반격기보다 살짝 빠르게 눌러야 발동해서 거기에 적응하는게 조금 어려웠습니다. 서브 캐릭 카이토가 야가미보다 조금 더 다루기 어렵다는 인상을 주기 위해 제작진이 일부러 이렇게 세팅해둔게 아닌가 조심스레 추측해봅니다 ㅎ
0:23~0:34까지 매끄럽게 이어지는 □□□△○ 3연속 콤보 ㅋㅋㅋ 이게 되네요
